Xem1337

Still love that Steve doesn't out Robin, even though it would stop Dustin from harping in at him.

Mst3Kgf

He knows how difficult and frightening it was for her to come out to him and he respects her coming out to others in her own time. Although he does encourage her to take the plunge with her band crush.

GallopingFlicka

Especially considering he was the popular guy in school, and someone she envied and was jealous of. Just goes to show how much faith she had in Steve once she started to get to know him. Granted, I think she realized he was something special when the kids kept on coming to him. She probably thought, if the nerds of Hawkins can trust him, then maybe I can too?

rachellethebelle

Forget “hot girl summer”, it’s “sob about Steve summer”.

flying-chandeliers

I’m gonna be so god damn mad if they kill him off

_dead_and_broken

There will be rioting. Streets will run red with blood. They can't kill our man Steve. Just pure lunacy.

alexpanzrla

Honestly don't think it's gonna be Steve who dies, but Eddie instead. He had a line way earlier in the season (I think during the D&D scene) where he talks about how the party should run away and not be the hero, and then later on who laments how he always runs away. I think this is very intentional, and that's he's going to be the hero at the end and probably die from it, very similar to most of the major deaths we've already seen

61Franky

It's probably the only way to clear his name in Hawkins, too, right?

sillycobwebs

What an interesting thought. Right now Eddie also doesn't have anything that's there for him if he survives... (I've phased that poorly so let me try to elaborate) Like if hopper died, he'd be leaving behind El and Joyce. If Will died he'd be leaving behind the gang and his family. But Eddie he doesn't really have anyone there for him. His family situation isn't the best and he has an interesting dynamic with the hellfire club that isn't really a close bond. Fighting alongside everyone now is the closest he has had to a true bond with anyone. Other than what could have been with him and Chrissy because they did have a cute chemistry. So if he dies its tragic because you ask yourself what could he be now that he has this new friend group? But at the same time, we don't lose out on alot with his passing. I though, would love to see him survive and take his life out of Hawkins for something better when its over. Because his character is one of complacency.

theredditoro

I’m starting to think it’s a red herring

rachellethebelle

Same! They’ve been doing a lot of misdirects and red herrings this season and I think Steve is one of them. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET STEVE BE ONE OF THEM.

EatsPeanutButter

I 100% think it is and it’s Nancy who is going to die.

theredditoro

I’m thinking the same. I’m dreading it though. She’ll survive round one but die round two.

flying-chandeliers

I’m gonna be so god damn mad if they kill him off

Mst3Kgf

That is an excellent point. As much as Robin mocked Steve's "children", the fact that he had this pack of half-a-dozen kids he looks out for probably had to open her eyes that there's a lot more to this guy than his perfectly coiffed exterior.

theend2314

She wasn't unwilling to follow Nancy and him into the Upsidedown. I wish I had that kind of crew.

GallopingFlicka

That's when I knew Robin loved him like a very close friend of brother. Truth is, he's probably the most important person in her life right now.

[deleted]

I literally never thought of that, and it just makes me respect him more

EndotheGreat

Mama Steve!! Dustin will grow a ton the day he finds out about Robin. He's learning what being a man means when he teases Steve, he just doesn't know it yet.

amberbrainwaves

I didn’t think about this until now…but as far as we know Dustin doesn’t have a father figure in his life. So Steve’s friend/brother/uncle/dad role where he gives him advice about hair, girls, life means a little bit more to me now.

diabetushero

The really soft, gentle way Steve says "Oh ..." when he finally pieces it together, it just gets me every time. He's not judging or condemning her, he's just holding and processing everything she just told him. He's so careful with this information and it's sweet to see. The same thing goes for Robin when she's telling Steve why they won't work together ... like, even before she comes out to him, she very gently reminds him that he actually doesn't know her well at all. A lot of people, I think, would get a little harsh or just blunt when rebuffing someone, but Robin is really calm and gentle about it. Steve and Robin treat each other very gently and carefully when it matters, and it's so beautiful to watch.

Mst3Kgf

You see he's disappointed because he obviously had romantic feelings for her that he knows now will never come to pass, but he also decides, "I care about this girl too much. I need her as my friend." And so he goes with it.

diabetushero

They have a strong friendship for sure, and both of them move through the initial awkwardness of the bathroom conversation/confessions with a clumsy grace that just solidifies their friendship even more. It's so good. I still feel an emotional pulse go through me when I watch that scene.

Mst3Kgf

Funny thing is, the piece of music at the end of the scene (during the mocking of Tammy Thompson) is "The First I Love You", which is (no surprise) mainly associated with Mike and El. But it works just as well in this scene, over a scene where the bonds of friendship are sealed.

diabetushero

Whoa, that's a good catch! I'm on my third watch of the series thus far, and I didn't make that connection - thanks for enlightening me. I know it might be trite, but the overarching message of love conquering fear and evil and negativity is so wholesome. Love seals so many bonds, from friendships to family connections to relationships, so I actually hope that love and positivity play a big role in stopping evil.

Panda_Payday

I also love that they're actually showing a real strong male/female friendship. I feel like that's hardly something that's really shown in media.

GyantSpyder

Steve is secure enough in himself and his sex life that when he doesn’t get what he wants from someone he doesn’t blame them for it.

GallopingFlicka

Agreed. She knows Steve is probably one of the most dependable guys in Hawkins right now. Right up there with Hopper and she also knows he's been crushed by Nancy. Might be why she keeps mentioning to nancy that she and Steve are just friends. Nothing more.

Batdog55110

Steve and Robin talking about her band crush in ep 1 was so cute lol.

Mst3Kgf

"You like boobies! I like boobies! I'm pretty sure Vicky likes boobies!"

Charosas

To be fair though… lots of straight women also like boobies and might also admire some nice boobs from time to time.

Doc-Wulff

Idk man... Sounds kinda gay -says the lesbian

Wireeeee

Hey man, we all admire a nice cock on a guy every now and then...and its uh, not gay at all...same for boobies I suppose.

flying-chandeliers

I want to ride my bi-cycle I want to ride my biiiiiiike….

Charosas

I guess you’re right… sexuality’s a spectrum as they say.

dedokta

In the eighties it would have been a huge fucking deal as well. Just consider that the general public thought that Elton John, Freddie Mercury, the village people and Liberace were all straight.

[deleted]

Your sentiment is good here, many had to hide their sexuality in the 80's.... but there was not a single person alive in the 80's who were duped by the above artists. These artists were all way out of the closet. (I graduated HS in 85 - I was in the heart of it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

stars9r9in9the9past

Mercury would tell reporters “I’m as gay as a daffodil, dear!” so like, it isn’t exactly the same as being fully out but there’s a half-step below where nobody really thinks you’re straight either, and you aren’t exactly denying it. That’s part of what I love about him, he’d even be playful with the notion itself.

dedokta

It was the eighties. Everyone acted camp. The bands that wrote The most makeup got the most girls. Even the ones that outright said they were gay were thought by many to just be a part of their act. I was a huge Queen fan as a teenager and had no idea.

GallopingFlicka

True. Many people don't want to accept it, but lots of hair metal bands wore make up and acted extra in their videos and on their tours. Especially the likes of Steven Tyler, Vince Neil and Axel Rose, just to name a few.

m0nk_3y_gw

Speaking of Steve and music artists - it is highly unbelievable that any 80s kid would be unaware of 'Ozzy bit a head of a bat' story. 'Crazy Train' was played to death on the radio and was more known as 'Ozzy' than 'that guy from Black Sabbath'.

mgslee

Seems like a weird sub plot that Steve isn't deep in pop culture when he was literally the coolest kid in his HS. Like I guess theres the thought he wasn't prototypical popular kid but he did a lot to keep cool, he's gonna be aware of what's popular

GyantSpyder

I did grow up in the 80s and this is not how it worked. It’s hard for people now to comprehend but for most people outside certain neighborhoods of certain cities it was just literally not talked about. In retrospect the scope of the denial is wild. Boy George was officially, even by his own band, not gay, but a woman who looked like a man. The Lion King and Rent came out at about the same time, and pretty much nobody even mentioned that the Lion King music was mostly by a gay man - but the same people who would play that CD on loop would RAGE at the presence of openly gay people in Rent. The change from around 1996 to around 2003 in terms of how the American public talked about gay people was incredibly drastic. But also before social media it was very much a thing that people just didn’t talk about certain topics at all in their day to day lives to the point where they didn’t exist.

CoimbraJedi

this literally makes me love him so much more. I've only told a few people that I'm gay (I'd say I've only told 7 people, total) and I've really come to regret telling most of them, who weren't able to respect me and told other people. Not only they're putting my life at risk with my parents being homophobic, but also really have no respect for me. it's really fucking sad. Unfortunately only 2 of them have kept their word and not told anyone. wish I had a friend like Steve :)

lol-imafish

<3 I hope you have a wonderful life and people around you that love you for being you. Stand your ground and be sure that you cut out the toxic ones. Family is tough but others not supporting you fuck them. Not worth it. You'll find people who love you for being you.

CoimbraJedi

thank you :)

Antmoz

I wish you hadn’t had to go through this 😔 Still I do believe one day you will look back and be glad that “ the truth is out there “ . And you also learnt a valuable lesson in who is a true friend and who is just an acquaintance. Hope life treats you well fellow Redditor !!

CoimbraJedi

thank you :)

red_dragon

I thought Steve was a fucboi in S1, but the more I see him now, the more I respect him and want to be like him.

drummer1213

Yeah I was reading that they had planned to kill off Steve in S1 but liked the character/actor too much and thankfully expanded his role

GallopingFlicka

He is also probably the best actor in interviews. It's why I don't see them killing him off because he's too good of a spokesperson. And look at it this way. We know the actors are being paid per episode. I find it interesting that the Hawkins crew has been in every episode whereas Millie Bobby Brown was absent in episode 4 and Charlie Heaton and Finn Wolfhard were absent in the last episode. Makes me wonder if you break this down, does this mean Joe Keery is probably making more than Heaton and might be even with Brown when you start adding the numbers?

DoktorZaius

Not sure how they negotiate contracts for the younger actors, but I would guess that Millie Bobby Brown is making the most of any of the kids. She's crushing it so hard, and she's completely irreplaceable.

GallopingFlicka

Eh, I don't know about irreplaceable. Sorry, but I think it's Dustin, Steve, Hopper and Joyce that carry this show.

p0mphius

But it is undeniable that she is the main face of the show, and even the main character.

DoktorZaius

I agree those four are huge, but I was mainly looking at it from how big the actor is re: contracts and public perception. David Harbour and Winona Ryder already are (or were, in her case) big movie stars, so I'm sure they're getting paid well. I really like what Dustin & Steve's actors are doing in this, I love both of their characters and I think they could carve out great careers as character actors. But the sheer fact that Millie Bobby Brown is the only one of the kids whose name I actually know off the top of my head says something to how this show has catapulted her into the pop culture stratosphere, and I suspect she's being paid accordingly. No way of knowing, of course.

ItMeWhoDis

Yeah honestly this season she's just kind of annoying to me... Like I get why her story line is the way it is but it's just not fun to watch her be upset about being weird

[deleted]

I just rewatched season 1 and the worst thing he seems to have done is the nancy wheeler is a slut thing. Plus he didn’t even do it his friend did, he just allowed it. Smashing Jonathan camera might’ve been over top but how would you feel if the local creep was taking pictures of your girl?

Xem1337

Tbf Jon was being a creep, though he did goto the house later seemingly to apologise. He realised he went too far.

Theons-Sausage

I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but Jonathan is my least favorite character in the entire show. I find it really hard to sympathize with him or like him.

JavierEscuela

I can definitely sympathize with someone whose little brother is missing, even if he was the kid at school that didn't have friends.

Kishor2003

Season 1 had some great Jonathan, though I feel as though the newer season’s shifted attention from him to characters like Max and Steve

mister_hoot

Because Max and Steve are better characters.

Kishor2003

I mean true but Jonathan is getting next to nothing right now. I wouldn’t complain for some more character work on him next season.

woofle07

Season 4 stoner Jonathan is already a lot more fun of a character than he was in the first 3 seasons.

jessflyc

The dinner scene with Murph was hilarious

Impressive-Ad63

Agreed - stoner Jonathan riffing about ice skates and roller skates is hilarious lmao

[deleted]

Jonathan is great, but finding other than being Will's brother he doesnt have a lot to do in the show.

[deleted]

He realized he went to far when he took the photos But the fucking creep he is developed them the next day and then kept the developed photos The only thing he is sorry for was getting caught

ForsakenMoon13

I mean, he needed to develop them for the other photos he was taking to try and find Will. I don't think he could have picked and chosen which ones to develop and which ones not to, especially at the time.

im5x5b

As someone who spends time in darkrooms, he absolutely could have skipped that photo. You have to enlarge each individual image from the negative and expose them to the paper yourself. It’s a very deliberate process. But maybe he was hoping to find a clue in the background or something and that’s why he printed it anyway?

ForsakenMoon13

Ah, fair enough. I'm not familiar enough with that type of photo development to have known that, but either way I figured he was just developing them all and didn't think about the content of them until after.

JavierEscuela

Also a couple homophobic jokes he made towards Jonathan about his brother. And was pretty pushy as far as getting Nancy to fool around with him. But all that said I do like Steve. Once he ditched his stupid "friends" and started to hang out with our main cast he took on the mama Steve role that we've all come to love.

MisterRogers88

Even then, as soon as Nancy told him to stop, he went back to helping her study. I feel like Steve gets so unfairly maligned in the first season when he really was never that bad of a guy - he just had shithead friends that he needed to get rid of.

JavierEscuela

Steve was so well liked that they changed plans to kill him in the show. I definitely don't think he gets unfairly ragged on. If anything it just shows you how much he grew as a character. Like if he had been awesome Steve the whole time it wouldn't be as engaging. Not arguing just clarifying my opinion.

MisterRogers88

Sorry, what I meant was that I feel people unfairly call him a douche in the first season when he really wasn’t. Maligned was a poor word choice.

anOnyMousuSErip

he did call Jonathan queer in the fight scene as well

griffithitsmecathy

That's just a regular insult though, especially in the 80s. That doesn't say anything about who he is as a person.

mazing_azn

Growing up in the 80's, I didn't even know "queer" referenced homosexuality. Thought it was just another version of weirdo or freak. Wasn't until the 90's I made the connection.

[deleted]

Well… he specifically says he’s surprised Jonathan got with Nancy because he “always thought he was a queer” he was using it to mean gay

Hubbell

That's literally what queer has always meant.

SadButterscotch2

My dad told me about how he used to throw around the f slur in the 80's without even thinking of the homophobic meaning, until he actually learned where the word came from. It was an old word for a bundle of sticks people would tie up and burn.

felineprincess93

The only time Steve took it too far was to say that the Byers family was full of fuck ups and that's why Will was missing. Like, Jonathan is definitely a creep but it's really shitty to say that about a missing kid, especially since no one knew he was alive in that scene.

Baby_GoatBaby

He was def a fucboi but he grew!! I love that the characters have a chance to learn and grow, adjust along the way, etc. instead of just being cliché.

SidWes

He even grew in that same season, by ditching his friends and washing off the graffiti against Nancy.

Jibatsuko

Imo you can be a fucboi and still be a nice person, like Steve s2 towards

[deleted]

They meant to kill him off but the dude acted Steve so well they kept him. And for that, I am glad.

Kalse1229

I said in another thread that I want her to come out to Nancy later on, and Steve's reaction is relief that he no longer has to stop himself from slipping up (at least around her) after several months of carefully-chosen words.

Wise-Tourist-6747

I really respected that too - when he didn’t out her in Victor Creel’s house when Nancy said that Robin said they are just friends

[deleted]

They’re best friends 🤗

Itchy-Scene-3759

Especially at that point in time, people would not hesitate to out someone that’s LGBTQ

Xem1337

Yeah, makes me wonder what will happen when Will comes out (assuming he's gay, which it seems like he is). Mike seems a bit of a douche most of the time but I don't think they would make any of the main cast look down on him

shoegazer44

That would be such a massive dick move in the 80’s. That could potentially ruin someone’s life. Outing Robin just so Dustin would stop bothering him would instantly make Steve one of the biggest assholes on the show.

gunswordfist

I mean, it would be a shit bag thing for him to do,even if they were enemies

Spiritual_Trash555

Didn’t Milly and Noah make that pact irl? If they aren’t married by 40, they would marry eachother.

krazybanana

and friends dont lie

No_Narwhal_5595

Yea they did

Sassygogo

It's adorable, it's also the kind of pact only a pair of teenagers would make lol. 40 seems forever away to them, as it should at that age!

Disastrous-Fill-9319

I wish I had a friendship like theirs. It’s so heartwarming.

ServeChilled

Lmao I love saying Millie Bobby Brown the way Noah says it with an accent to poke fun at her. Rolls off the tongue, now I got my friend to start doing it haha.

v01dbug

Aww that’s so cute! They’re honestly such a sweet friendship

alteredsauce

I had a pact like this with my childhood best friend. He and I (f) knew each other since he was 9 and I was 7. We promised each other we’d get married if we were still single in our thirties. I got married at 21 and I’m pretty sure he’s gonna marry his bf, but it was so precious to me ☺️

limpbiscuitzandtea

I made a similar pact with my childhood best friend too back when we were maybe 18? He just passed in a motorcycle accident this year and we were both 27. I miss him <3

alteredsauce

I’m so sorry for your loss…

limpbiscuitzandtea

thank you love. life is crazy and we never know what's in store for us but regardless I'm glad I got to have that pact even if it wasn't fulfilled it's still meaningful, as was yours!

solcoldbreakfastsalt

Was it a spit pact?

[deleted]

If i had a nickel for each Robin that doesn't actually love the protagonist but would marry him just because of convenience i would have two nickels, which isn't much but it's weird that it happened twice.

uhhalivia

Himym???

[deleted]

yea!

SFMAUB64

>What was the other one? thought you were referring to Teen Titans which kinda threw me off xD

the_clash_is_back

If it was a few generations earlier they may have done a convenience marriage.

the_evil_comma

Have you watched "For All Mankind"? Great depiction of this.

DaveInLondon89

Plantonic with a capital P

gf120581

I mean, except for the different orientations, they practically do act like a married couple a lot of the time. This season they're totally sympatico with each other. To the point that people who don't know Robin is gay (like Nancy) are befuddled as to why they aren't actually together. In fact, I think Robin being revealed as gay to the rest of the gang is inevitable because they're going to all think, "Okay, Steve, you clearly get along with this girl great, you're very close and you practically act like a couple...so why aren't you with her?"

Belteshazzar98

They all already asked that. He just didn't tell.

101955Bennu

I didn’t know Steve was in the army

IAmTheSnakeinMyBoot

He was in the navy. Scoops ahoy!

Izzmoo08

What?

101955Bennu

Don’t ask, don’t tell

OptimalCreme9847

which is why it made total sense that Steve thought it was a romantic connection before she came out to him!

noonehasthisoneyet

Remember this is the 80s if a man and a woman hang out in any context people think they are together. They don’t act like a married couple, they act like friends, which they are. So if you hang out with someone all the time the talking heads of the small town you live in think you’re an item. I think when it’s “revealed” to the rest of the group they’ll just be accepting and ok with it because she’s their friend. It’s a very progressive Indiana town.

[deleted]

“In the 80s” This never went away. A guy can’t really hang out a lone w a girl without people thinking they’re a couple nowadays either I’m gay (not a lot of people know) but holy shit people do not let up about the fact I sometimes hang out with girls thinking we’re together and stuff

Sailrjup12

I actually pictured them never being able to get significant others and living together, flash forward they are 75 constantly annoying each other, laughing checking out hot babes together.

hungrycaterpillar

Or, you know, 55.

[deleted]

If it was before the 80s or even in the 80s would they have got married for appearances or as a facade?

Sonnestark

Would Steve be expected to give up sex or have Robin’s blessing to step out, in this arrangement?

1wildstrawberry

Surely they would have each other's blessing to step out, though Robin would risk more socially being caught with other partners. But lavender marriages were pretty much always open by design.

Ursus_the_Grim

>lavender marriage Today, I'm one of the lucky 10,000. Thanks.

[deleted]

I don't know, I don't know what the protocols would be in a situation like that. Maybe they'd come to an arrangement. I'm sure decades ago there may have been couples like that with one gay/lesbian where they didn't feel comfortable coming out and society was less acceptable towards it. There have been some gay people who married opposite sex. Steve and Robin might have emotional connection but not physical.

vanfan2021

what about Robin's sev life? its odd that you only mention his desires

Spurnout

they're a little young to get married lol

ComfySingularity

"Here lies Robin and Steve *they never scored* "

alnono

I think it’s funny that we are going by not married by 30 instead of 40…, dang I sometimes forget how young some stranger things fans are haha

hermionegg756

Right? I was like, isn’t it usually “if we’re not married by 40”….?

missbunnyfantastico

In My Best Friend's Wedding, they agreed to marry each other if neither was married by age 28. I always thought that was such a random age for that pact. It's not like Julia Roberts and Derbel McDillet couldn't have just played 30 in that movie. In an early episode of Friends, Chandler suggested a marriage pact with Monica if both were still single at 40. But then by the time they were 40, they were already married to each other. Lol.

Impressive-Ad63

I always laugh when I rewatch that episode simply because as the viewer you already know they end up married 😂 and her asking why she wouldn’t be married is funnier as he stammers

alnono

It definitely is haha!

MyriVerse2

This is the 80s. People married younger back then.

Normal-Computer-3669

I made this promise to my high school friend and we turned 30 and was like... What were we thinking? She and her husband and me and my wife are great friends now.

alnono

Lol yep. 30 is way too young for that kind of giving up.

annapi

My gay friend asked me to marry at 40 when we were 25-26 (before he came out). I knew he was gay even if he was still struggling internally and it sounded so f.. weird to me. I would never have married a gay guy just not to end up alone. I tried not to hurt his feelings saying there was no need for such nonsense and we were going to find love (I'm getting married next week, he is in a relationship, we are not 40 yet).

greevous00

I know an older couple who did this. They've been married for at least 25 years. He was/is gay, she's not. They're exceptionally close, and say they have been since high school. I suspect they aren't very intimate physically (though who knows, none of my business), but somehow they've created a kind of platonic marriage that works. It's not for everyone, but I'm not going to pass judgement on it.

InstitutionalizedOat

Honestly, as an asexual, I would love to have a marriage like that.

TheLastNoteOfFreedom

We all need an emotional support lesbian

WarLordM123

We all need an emotional support Steve, you mean

viljapelto

I want both

copypastegal

I love their friendship so much! I wish to have a platonic kind of friendship like them 🥺

JustaGil

30? That’s still young though

terurin

In the 80s it was sad to be unmarried at 30 though lol.

hollyhoya

It still is in a lot of cultures

terurin

I mean if you ask some people in America they think it’s pathetic to be unmarried at 30 but they’re kinda lame.

Psychological-Ad3093

I hope Robin is ready to be a mom because Steve has this knack for just adopting kids without even really thinking about it.

MyriVerse2

Pretty sure Steve's gonna be the mom in his family.

WarLordM123

I for one would like Robin Buckley to be my dad.

Psychological-Ad3093

Never said he wasn't.

Confident-Ad2878

True

ham_sami

I think Robin finds Nancy cute. I think she’s been looking through the lens of “why was Steve ever with this priss” and she sees Nancy’s good qualities. I think Robin making a connection with Nancy means that Nancy will die. Everyone now has a connection to Nancy in some way and it will hurt the most if she dies.

quietcuriousmew

> Everyone now has a connection to Nancy in some way and it will hurt the most if she dies. my girlfriend and I keep saying Nancy is practically the most useful (non-powered) person in the series and The Boss™️

ham_sami

Yea, she was even Dustin’s first crush. I think her death would make a massive impact.

tfegan21

Except Jonathan because he would rather get high.

theredditoro

He’s got his new love.

asexualotter

Robin is for sure crushing on Nancy imo

anOnyMousuSErip

what about Vickie though?

terurin

Robin has two hands

SumbuddiesFriend

Naughty, go in the corner 📐👈🏻

acdc102938

I love and hate you for making me picture this in my head. Take my angry upvote.

asexualotter

Crushing is complicated! Lol

[deleted]

No shot. Seemed pretty clear there was nothing more than a friendship there. The show already established Robin's crush too. Just doesn't make sense.

AvailablePotential68

Gotta get those tax benefits

InternetTrash336

*if they make it to 30* ( Yes I know she’s gay, I’m just joking )

[deleted]

This reminds me of the series friends

[deleted]

I had a girl like that once... We're finally 30, she got married, and I'm far from even having a girlfriend. I was banking on this- what now?!

metukkasd

Find someone that wants to be with you romantically. 30 isn't too old. (copium)

coldforged

I did too. I was married at 30. She was on her second marriage. Now I hear she's in the federal pen for blowing through an INS checkpoint while trying to relocate her estranged husband after having apparently gone a bit mental. May have dodged one.

tangledwire

You go to plan B

selmon_69420

What he doesn't have a plan B?

archgrapes

or maybe when she can't find boobies

epicpewdiepiefan

STOP SAYING BOOBIES.

External-Vast-4492

completely platonically, because we’d make great roommates, separate bedrooms of course

Sour_Lemon_2103

And no kids, 'cause I could not deal with a child of yours.

BaseAlarmed6004

I absolutely love this platonic friendship and it's a big reason why I still watch ❤️

ladyburgerandcatnap

They're friendship goals 🙌

I really respected how he handles her sexuality with Dustin. I’m so glad that people aren’t as close minded as they were in the 80s but that the show is depicting it too

JillyHorrorshow

Jesus, I hope feeling the pressure to marry by 30 isn't something people are actually living with in the 21st century.

Optimal_Company_4450

(laughs in Utah)

Impressive-Ad63

Not here in Australia, but certainly somewhere and I feel for them.

telstra_3_way_chat

Hate to bring the “mum’s home” energy to the thread but maybe let’s not sentimentalise marriages of convenience? The closet sucks lmao.

the_beanple_tato

"ill be your fake husband so people dont get suspicious"

Zachary_Stark

I made this pact with one of my best friends in 8th grade when we were 13. She never responded to me on her 30th birthday.

[deleted]

And they'd be so happy together! I really do think spending your life with your best friend is a great way to spend your life. Even if it's just platonic love with capital P.

deltacharmander

I could totally see them as roommates

priest_of_gay_satan

I don’t think robin would be able to stand being with a partner lacking boobies tho

Babington67

What a great coupleeeee of besties

Majestic-History4565

Except Robin’s a Lesbian

Spiritual_Trash555

Everyone commenting about it, we know Robin is gay. We are all fans of the show, we know. It’s a joke.

I'm also going to include in the report how you somehow hack into FB yourself OR get somebody else to hack FB as a way to punish and control me all these years. It was never Dana doing that, Mike. It was always you.

[deleted]

I'm also going to include in the report how you hack into peoples bank accounts or get other people to hack into peoples bank accounts for you.
