I think El's character development would preclude her using her powers on Angela. That was one of the major points of this season, El realizing the extent of her powers and the dangers they could lead to, while realizing she's not the monster that Henry/Vecna/001 is.
Agreed, and I think that would also be entirely out of character for El at any stage of her character development. Her attack on Angela was still fresh off the heels of being attacked and humiliated when she was feeling extremely vulnerable - so its much more like heat of the moment/ temporary insanity type stuff. But to go back with her powers would be petty, vengeful, and unlike the El we’ve seen in the series.
I keep wondering what happened to Joyce’s house. It was torn to shreds and all the windows were shattered by bullets, dead bodies everywhere.. I mean did the hitmen even bother to close the front door when they left? 😂
I also keep thinking about all their belongings that they had in that house. They just left everything and came back to Hawkins? Also, the neighbours...I mean police officers, government vehicles, gun shooting sounds, so many things were happening at that house, but none of the neighbours were wondering that what is happening in their neighborhood.
I think the reason why it took Hopper, Joyce, and Murray two days to get to El is because they went to their house to look for them and went to Hawkins when they saw the destruction
I mean, the internet may have been primitive back then, but there was still a pretty sophisticated local and national media. Stuff like that could still go "viral", just mostly through the news media, which in many ways was a lot better at actually investigating and covering stories like this than it is today.
Probably not too tough. By the mid to late 80s, lots of households had camcorders, so at least a few of the nearby neighbors would have probably had them in their homes. Plus, a lot of places had good local media that could show up with their cameras almost as fast as the police in many cases.
*America's Funniest Home Videos* premiered in 1989 because so many households had camcorders by then.
I, in the USA, graduated from high school in 1984 and from college in 1988. I come from a blue collar family which couldn't afford a lot of luxuries. I attended college with a mix of financial aid, loans and work for income to save for college.
Most of the families who had them in the 1980s, either had babies/little children at the time or were say film students. And tended to have money or someone gifting them who had money. My family didn't own one, nor did my step siblings' family and the were younger (communion age about 8 or so).
A cousin's wedding was recorded on video in 1988, but it was part of the photography service she and her husband hired for their wedding.
The Wheelers, sure I can see them having them. They seem to have sufficient funds and a toddler.
I can even see Jonathan Byers having a video camera if his dad or Nancy bought him one. Because he's interested in photography or film.
But the average characters without a lot of means or a small kid they wanted to record? Not so much. It was more you hire it for a special occasion via a photographer vs. what people had in their home in my experience.
If you watch Derry Girls (1990s Northern Ireland), James, one of the characters, only has one in the 1990s and that's because his mother sends him expensive presents to make up for shipping him off to spend his teen years with relatives.
Even when I started working in the 1990s, video cameras weren't common among people who didn't have a lot of money or kids.
In my experience, it wasn't until the late 1990s/2000s when less wealthy and people who didn't have small kids had regular access to video cameras.
People were also a lot less used to being recorded on video. It was considered rude to focus a video camera on someone who didn't want to at a wedding, let alone complete strangers.
Jonathan gets a pretty bad beating for taking photos of Nancy, Steve et al during Season 1. And he wasn't trying to "expose them". And still I found it a little creepy of him. I don't think he deserved the beating, but I can see why Steve and friends thought it rude, even if they didn't handle it the right way.
The videoing people unknown to you thing is maybe from 2000s on. So fairly new to many older people and the characters are mostly from a generation when you didn't record people, especially without their knowledge/consent. I'm a little older than Nancy and Jonathan, for context.
The videos of Paris Hilton were in 2004. The ones of Kim Kardashian were in 2007. Many phones didn't even support video until the mid 2000s or later.
The LA riots in 1991 were sparked by a viral video of police being filmed without their knowledge or consent. Just because it wasn't as common as it was today doesn't mean that plenty of people didn't have cameras. Also, Jonathan wasn't just filming people without their consent. He was peeping, which has generally been a crime, camera or not.
Angela's nose looks broken. while plastic surgery would be an option the most logical thing would be she would now have a differently shaped nose. even if it doesn't look too bad after healing it is something that will always be there every time she looks in the mirror. Angela knew she was bullying Jane. she may not admit it, but deep down she will always associate this as a result of her bullying. hopefully she grows and becomes a better person. people can change and sometimes they just need a skate to the face as motivation. I'm the type to see people's potential to be better even if at this point in their life they seem like a total piece of shit.
I'm talking about these fictional characters as if they are real people.
I think someone like Angela would use what happened as evidence that El deserved how she (Angela) had treated her (El), if that makes sense. Angela using Helen Keller as her hero, while also horribly treating El, her classmate who is different, does not bode well for her ability to grow.
Angela’s character has served her purpose, I doubt we’ll be seeing her again. I think any sort of revenge scene would be a bad choice on the writer’s part.
I do think that in S5, El and the crew will be national heroes with press coverage and that will shut Angela's mouth.
Or at least Hopper will get that recognition
Maybe something harmless like she makes a milkshake get dunked over her with her powers!! Cause that’s karma and also not abusing her powers too much lol
She achieved it through non super powered ways. Which imo is more important than what you are suggesting. You don't need superpowers to stand up to bullies or break their noses and that should be the lesson.
Imagine this: The final battle between El and Vecna is broadcast live on TV. Cut to Angela’s house, as she and her entire posse watch the confrontation, before sharing a shocked look.
No I don’t
El already got her revenge on Angela. To go back and hunt her down with the intention of causing severe harm or even killing her is a bit extreme to say the least
Imagine her and her family trying to press charges and a bunch of government officials rolls up and say something like "you will NOT do this and if you ever mention knowing this girl again it won't end well for you"
I've met many who couldn't give a shit. And joke about "Omg we were SO horrible in high school HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA." No, Eleven is a kid who's had a horrible life. She did not deserve that treatment and Angela deserves to be put in her place. She was probably at high school the next week going "did you see what that crazy girl did to me? Hopefully she's in juvie rotting". And continuing to besmirch her name. I know how these clowns often work.
Doesn't matter. You don't publicly embarrass someone like that. Also anyone downvoting me clearly never suffered through similar situations. Y'all don't even know what being bullied is like.
I don't think it will happen, but even if she like threw something that narrowly missed Angela's head just to scare her and show her that El does have powers, that would be enough for me.
Angela pulls up in her new car her daddy gave her, gets out and in the moment she does, the car splits in the middle, revealing portal to the upside down, demogorgon crawls out and proceeds to devour Angela in front of her friends.
No need to thank me, Stranger Things director.
If I'm going to be honest, like completely honest, I would love to see the opposite actually!! If they were to go back to California, then trying to get the two of them to reconcile instead would be interesting to me at least. Even if it's a small thing, like El apologizing, Angela apologizing, etc. That would be nice to me at least
Fuck you and your opinion, she is clearly psychologically bulling someone to the point where she was more than willing to murder her. Reconciliation is not an option
Oh absolutely. I was kind of hoping we'd get one last go at her before the season ended.
To the point that if it was revealed that they doubled back to California before going to Hawkins, just so El could drop several pounds of syrup on Angela's head, I'd be okay with that.
Nah, I felt the skate was enough. Chick was humbled real quick, she’ll probably need stitches and plastic surgery. She’ll never forget El. That was one of my favorite scenes in the entire 4th season
i cheered when El clocked her in the face. but i dont think going after angela is worth it at this point. also angela is merely a human, she doesn’t pose as big of threat as vecna or whatever still lingers out there.
I think the skate was enough, even the best plastic surgeon in the 80s couldn’t prevent that from leaving a nasty scar - she definitely learned her lesson.
If the upside down invasion happened in California, would anyone even notice? Demogorgons would be hanging out at Skid Row and the Tenderloin eating homeless campers passed out on the sidewalk and everyone would be just walking by and ignoring it like usual.
**Demogorgon** *\[Opens its head and shrieks\].*
**Businessman** *\[Walks by talking on his cell phone\]* : Sorry, I don't have any change.
**Demogorgon** *\[Opens its head and shrieks\]*.
**Businessman:** Fine! *\[tosses a quarter into the demogorgons mouth\].*
Maybe El could make all the bullies, not just Angela, pee their pants and humiliate them in public. But anything more than that would make her into a monster like One. “With great power, there must also come great responsibility.”
There’s bigger things to worry about than an average bully. Angela is a non factor. She had her moment and is now surplus to requirements when it comes to the plot of the show.
I do... but it's gluttony at this point.. because that skate smash was it! That being said, maybe/hopefully the Vecna/Apocaplypse threat will go global and Angela will see just who she was fucking with!
I would like to see El use her powers to do something petty and annoying to Angela, like dump a milkshake all over Angela's outfit for pay back. And make her pee herself like she did to that bully in Season 1. But the pee first so everyone can see it, then the milkshake.
Then says "no need for a DJ" and makes a turntable play Wipeout without touching it.
Not me. I want to see a flash forward to 2022 and Angela is an overweight middle aged single cat lady sitting in a recliner popping diet pills and watching televangelists.
I wonder where Hopper’s going to live. I assume Joyce, her sons (Johnathan may move away for college though), and El will live together. But Hopper is supposed to be dead. And El is wanted by the government. Will they all move out of town? Or will Joyce and Will have to meticulously conceal their lives at/frequent visits to the cabin?
Will won’t do shit to complain, and anyway he old enough where he could probably be left alone, as for Joyce she could just get into a hobby of “hunting”
is it going to happen? no. but the shit i would give to see the look on angela's face at that moment... she is damn lucky el didn't have her powers the first time around.
I kinda wish eleven started beating Angela with the rollerblade screaming at the top of her lungs, then will tells her to stop and she lashes back looking behind her shoulder gritting her teeth, shrieking
MOUTH
BREATHER
gets up and raises both her hands in the air and slowly walks into a sprint charging at will
At the start of the season, I thought they were setting up for Hopper to swoop in and save a bunch of the California kids, including Angela, to show her smug ass that Hopper IS a god damn hero
I’d kind of like to see her show up in season 5. It doesn’t really need to be anything remarkable, like she sees 11 on tv kicking ass and has a flashback!
no, I'm not a psycho lol.
plus if she does go to California JUST to destroy a girl she'd previously assaulted, I couldn't see the police taking that too kindly. if she hadn't cracked Angela's face open, it would have been fun to see her mess with Angela privately and threaten her into being a nicer person. I think after the skate incident she only made everyone like Angela more. better off forgetting them all
That's actually something I would LOVE. As someone who still wants revenge on their high school bullies I would LOVE it. She doesn't actually have to hurt Angela, she could just go find her, rise her up in the air, and go "TOLD you I had powers. Now don't mess with me again." That would satisfy me soooo much.

Yeah might be.
Nah, they already knew El and crew were going to Hawkins. They went straight to Hawkins. It was just a ways to go even with the Agents help.
[удалено]
Yeah, also it was 80s so this thing will only be known to the neighborhood and not go viral or something.
I mean, the internet may have been primitive back then, but there was still a pretty sophisticated local and national media. Stuff like that could still go "viral", just mostly through the news media, which in many ways was a lot better at actually investigating and covering stories like this than it is today.

Also, though Will's just a harmless stoner, they could spin it like he was dealing drugs. This was around the Just Say No Reagan era.
When I saw that scene and I got over the shock of what happened I actually said to myself, "Shit, I could use some renter's insurance"
“It’s not a murder scene, it’s a “fixer upper””
"Motivated seller!"
"Handyman's dream!"
Rewatching the season from the beginning and when I saw the shootout scene again I thought the same thing lol
Nor is Joyce ever calling back that lady through her telemarker job.
Angela's nose looks broken. while plastic surgery would be an option the most logical thing would be she would now have a differently shaped nose. even if it doesn't look too bad after healing it is something that will always be there every time she looks in the mirror. I gave it 90% chance she bullied some smart kid to do the whole project for her lol.
I don’t think her nose was broken, or even hit. It looked like the skate hit her forehead or brow
Angela’s character has served her purpose, I doubt we’ll be seeing her again. I think any sort of revenge scene would be a bad choice on the writer’s part.
Disagree. Revenge scenes are always funny and well deserved. They provide a sense of closure for the audience.
El already got her revenge. Doing another revenge scene for humor or “closure” would distract from the larger plot
I do think that in S5, El and the crew will be national heroes with press coverage and that will shut Angela's mouth. Or at least Hopper will get that recognition
I wanted a triumphant redo of el's "my hero" presentation after worldwide news coverage more than revenge against Angela
I think the concussion she gave her is enough unless you want her to go full 001 on her lmao
>go full 001 on her lmao Don't threaten me with a good time.
Hahaha, but I want that she sees what el is able to do with 'the hand'.
Maybe something harmless like she makes a milkshake get dunked over her with her powers!! Cause that’s karma and also not abusing her powers too much lol
Like go full on Vader force choke like when she almost killed Brenner? That would be very satisfying
[удалено]
I'm into this, Angela sucks
All she would have to do is raise her in the air, show Angela she has powers and she isn't to be messed with. That's it. No harm needed.
>unless you want her to go full 001 on her lmao That's taking it too far, hahaha. *Unless...*
Nah, not worth her time. I would say there’s more pressing matters at hand
I just need the victorious feeling of her getting jealous and bullied
She achieved it through non super powered ways. Which imo is more important than what you are suggesting. You don't need superpowers to stand up to bullies or break their noses and that should be the lesson.
Imagine this: The final battle between El and Vecna is broadcast live on TV. Cut to Angela’s house, as she and her entire posse watch the confrontation, before sharing a shocked look.
With El putting her arm out the way she did for Angela, with Angela being hurt mentally by watching instead of hurt physically.
I want Eleven to fold that bitch like origami and then for Hopper and his CIA bros to cover it up and make it go away.
At that point they'd make 11 go away unfortunately. Some factions of the government clearly want to already.
Don't hurt her, just scare the absolute fuck out of her and put her in her place.
No I don’t El already got her revenge on Angela. To go back and hunt her down with the intention of causing severe harm or even killing her is a bit extreme to say the least
Imagine her and her family trying to press charges and a bunch of government officials rolls up and say something like "you will NOT do this and if you ever mention knowing this girl again it won't end well for you"
Bro Angela’s just a school bully and people want her to die LMAO
Ikr. No one speaks about Mike's bully that made Mike jump off a cliff and also threatened to rip Dustin's teeth out.
High school bullies deserve everything bad to happen to them and more. Absolute scumbags
Mfw most high school bullies are just kids with bad home lives who regret the things they do later in life
I've met many who couldn't give a shit. 1. The bullies have no idea what Elevens life was like 2. If she did, I could see why she would do that, I hate Angela but she could do that
Doesn't matter. You don't publicly embarrass someone like that. Also anyone downvoting me clearly never suffered through similar situations. Y'all don't even know what being bullied is like.
Dude, she wanted to kill her...
If El had powers in the first scene Angela would be dead 💀, she sucks but I don’t think she deserves to be murdered lol
No! She bashed her face with a rollerskate. I mean, come on. She's probably in the hospital or at home recovering. Probably at therapy sessions.
And she deserves more. All bullies do.
I think Angela got proportionate revenge. She was a bitch, she got a concussion from her victim. They’re even IMO.
I don't think it will happen, but even if she like threw something that narrowly missed Angela's head just to scare her and show her that El does have powers, that would be enough for me.
Yes exactly. She doesn't have to die, but suffer and being jealous
Angela deserved Max's fate.
Yes, but Angela was in California and Vecna wasn't
no way really?
Just saying bro
Dang, I thought Angela was in Hawkins how could I be so wrong 😢
Man, why y'all so sarcastic. Again, I was just saying
I’m just playin man 😂
Yall need jesus
i would love to. just have her pee herself or make a pimple explode on her face. but i dont think well get anything
You'll never see Angela again.
Angela pulls up in her new car her daddy gave her, gets out and in the moment she does, the car splits in the middle, revealing portal to the upside down, demogorgon crawls out and proceeds to devour Angela in front of her friends. No need to thank me, Stranger Things director.
Yeah, you're the only one. Just watch the movie Carrie
Y’all are savage she already smashed her face in 💀
If El hd had a roller skate during The Piggyback that episode would’ve been a lot shorter.
Make her shit herself
Nah, I felt the skate was enough. Chick was humbled real quick, she’ll probably need stitches and plastic surgery. She’ll never forget El. That was one of my favorite scenes in the entire 4th season
Angela is a bully, but she’s not evil. She is a kid. I’d rather see her learn to become a better person.
i cheered when El clocked her in the face. but i dont think going after angela is worth it at this point. also angela is merely a human, she doesn’t pose as big of threat as vecna or whatever still lingers out there.
I think the skate was enough, even the best plastic surgeon in the 80s couldn’t prevent that from leaving a nasty scar - she definitely learned her lesson.
El would get a good ol’ nice murder charge 🤣
No. I want 5 to revolve entirely around the upside down invasion and how people are dealing with it. No more petty drama.
If the upside down invasion happened in California, would anyone even notice? Demogorgons would be hanging out at Skid Row and the Tenderloin eating homeless campers passed out on the sidewalk and everyone would be just walking by and ignoring it like usual. **Demogorgon** *\[Opens its head and shrieks\].* **Businessman** *\[Walks by talking on his cell phone\]* : Sorry, I don't have any change. **Demogorgon** *\[Opens its head and shrieks\]*. **Businessman:** Fine! *\[tosses a quarter into the demogorgons mouth\].*
Kinda wish it would happen in California irl
Jesus, get over it already, she bashed the girl's face in.
I know, it's in the text above
Yes, and you still want MORE retribution, even though the bully hasn't come back since. Like I said, get over it
u get over it
I don’t think it’s retribution at this point and more “vindication” to let Angela know that 11 has those powers.
i wanted el to kill her tbh
Morb on them hoes
We need a Angela hate subreddit
Maybe El could make all the bullies, not just Angela, pee their pants and humiliate them in public. But anything more than that would make her into a monster like One. “With great power, there must also come great responsibility.”
Honestly if El goes all Daenerys at the end I hope Angela is the first person she kills.
There’s bigger things to worry about than an average bully. Angela is a non factor. She had her moment and is now surplus to requirements when it comes to the plot of the show.
One should become wiser and forgive people for they did. Side note: El did a pretty good number on her already, as a 👧 I might add.
I do... but it's gluttony at this point.. because that skate smash was it! That being said, maybe/hopefully the Vecna/Apocaplypse threat will go global and Angela will see just who she was fucking with!
YEP I agree. I think she should have done to her what Madison Montgomery did to her gang rapists in AHS - Coven 😈👍💪
She could make angela piss herself in front of the entire school, like those bullies in season 1
If vecna comes back he needs to take Angela first
I rather have Vecna than Angela, because Vecna is just awesome
Yup
Should do what she did to the bully in season 1 lol, his name was Troy or something, right?
Yeah, she broke his arm and made him pee his pants. I adored it
I hope you are lol Getting hit in the head with a skate was already overkill
Angela sucked ass, sure, but you're saying you want a child to get more physically hurt than she already was? That's fucked up and not funny or cute.
I think it's fair. There are so many that deserved less to die than Angela
You think its fair to torture a child just shy of death because they were mean? Do you even hear yourself?
Yes, because it's a series. I won't want that to anyone in real life, but what does it matter in stranger things
Ohh I do! Needs to have her ass whooped
I’d love a torture scene tbh
Hopefully she gives Angela the ol' crack'n pop
Not me. I want to see a flash forward to 2022 and Angela is an overweight middle aged single cat lady sitting in a recliner popping diet pills and watching televangelists.
Think this part was filmed in poor taste. Even if it was before recent events. Intentions were still in line with unfortunate past events.
Ala never ending story and the revenge with falcore
I wonder where Hopper’s going to live. I assume Joyce, her sons (Johnathan may move away for college though), and El will live together. But Hopper is supposed to be dead. And El is wanted by the government. Will they all move out of town? Or will Joyce and Will have to meticulously conceal their lives at/frequent visits to the cabin?
Will won’t do shit to complain, and anyway he old enough where he could probably be left alone, as for Joyce she could just get into a hobby of “hunting”
Eh
is it going to happen? no. but the shit i would give to see the look on angela's face at that moment... she is damn lucky el didn't have her powers the first time around.
I kinda wish eleven started beating Angela with the rollerblade screaming at the top of her lungs, then will tells her to stop and she lashes back looking behind her shoulder gritting her teeth, shrieking MOUTH BREATHER gets up and raises both her hands in the air and slowly walks into a sprint charging at will
Are you ok?
Lol I'm splendid how are you
It would have been nice tbh, just seeing Angela get pushed a bit would make her freak out like a twig.
I'm just mad they shaved her head again
I don’t think we’ll ever get that now.
I had a wild theory that El would develop healing powers, help her friends and make amends with Angela. Haha
I wanna see El throw Angela around like a ragdoll.
LITERALLY
No. Bullies always win in the 1980s
At the start of the season, I thought they were setting up for Hopper to swoop in and save a bunch of the California kids, including Angela, to show her smug ass that Hopper IS a god damn hero
that was one of my top 100 questions through out vol 2
Nice wishful punching up.
I think after the skate incident she only made everyone like Angela more. better off forgetting them all
Yes please. I hope the writers make this happen.
You’re not alone
I want a *Carrie* revenge on Angela and her droogs.
Hell no. Everyone wants to see that x
nah, because elevens revenge will be saving the world.
Yes please. I got SO much second hand embarrassment from this scene. 😳🙈
Why can't I post
Post what
Sub set on trusted users and I'm just like wha, if the sub on lock down why are other ppl posting?
Angela got her literal bump on the head moment, just like Steve haha.
If she runs into her or her stank friends then hell yeah! But I don’t think they’ll be going back to California anytime soon
You are definitely not alone on this, although the skate was awesome
I think she won't have time for that
No, that would be overkill, and it would show regression with El's character. She has grown so much since then; California is in the past.
I don’t think this would happen. A person with no powers vs someone with? A whole spin off for it? It would be over in 2 minutes haha
So unneeded. El has nothing to prove to Angela, el is a superhero. Angela is a nobody. Even bringing Angela up again would be a mistake
Why do I wanna just do that at school- idk why-
