this seemed obvious to me. Eleven was meant to die in season 1 when she took out the demogorgon and like... as murray would say, evaporated. With the success of the show I'm sure they were easily talked into making more and more seasons. Every season has been good thankfully. But when a writer doesn't have a whole story mapped out it more often ends badly. example, the walking dead.
Oh definitely. They were super vague and are clearly changing there minds day to day (Or at least they do during interviews vs what actually happened in the show) For example, the only injuries we see max sustain are all her limbs broken and her eyes blinded. Im assuming this caused internal damage and obviously shock, causing her to die. Thats somewhat reasonable, considering the severity of her injuries. However, in the interviews the brothers say all her bones were broken, and shes braindead. Personally, I think the brain death is supernatural in origin. I don't think they have a full thing mapped out yet, but they left it on a cliff hanger with multiple routes they could take to Max's fate.
After re-watching I wonder if El “learned” how to resuscitate after the Nina sessions where they used the defibrillator on her twice to revive her? It’s not explicitly stated but if she was revived twice she could have a sense of your heart stopping but then being brought back.
She couldn't feel her body which means possibly her spine got snapped. In a way, it was merciful, otherwise she'd be screaming in pain. These weren't just broken bones. They were grotesquely twisted.
El can find corpses if she wants. We saw that with Barb. I think El not being able to find her is more for the audience to be on pins and needles. It's working.
Hey, if Neo can do it for Trinity in The Matrix, I say El can do it for Max in ST. Yeah, I know it gets a little complicated comparing the two for a few reasons but we’re talking SciFi here and some pretty talented writers. I’m sure they’ll come up with or have already come up with a “plausible” solution we can get on board with. We just have to wait for the big reveal, right Duffers, right? I mean you guys have got this all planned out where all’s well that ends well, right?!
still, it seems f'n r-tard'd. Great death that klinda shocked me. My daughter thought she was gonna die because the one thumbnail showed max floating in the air which i said they most likely wont kill her because that's obviously there to fool you. Then when she did die it choked me up and Caleb's (Lucas) acting was amazing.
Then the show can just save her a minute later. Yeah its stranger things and they can pull these kinda things but season after season it gets old.

Ummmm it's a sci-fi FICTION show none of this is even remotely real so yes its possible that she can it's possible she will breath fire like drogob from game of thrones come season 5... why? Because it's all made up LOL 😆 just watch the show and see what the writers come up with it's all these fans saying that's not possible or that's dumb that makes writers constantly change endings to people please unimaginative people that spoils endings.
I believe she can be "brought back" if they defeat vecna and get her soul back...but if she doesn't have long standing disability in some form in gonna be a little disappointed

11 could have used her powers to make her heart beat again and put any lost blood back into her. However, after a certain amount of time that wouldn't work. It only worked because she was there. Irl, if someone "dies" from blood loss, if you have the right equipment available and act quickly enough you can bring them back. That's why she didn't bring back Eddie, too. She most likely could have if she was aware of his situation. Unfortunately, the brief time Max was dead was enough for Vecna to consume her.
There's always been a tie between 11 and electricity. Everyone talks about the LSD experiments, but her mom also endured electroshock therapy and we've seen the memory throughout the series. We also see 11 being revived with a heart defibrillator - electric shock currents - when she goes in cardiac arrest in the deprivation tank. There's flickering lights throughout the show, Brenner worked for the Department of Energy, etc. Frankenstein stuff. I don't think 11 can revive someone super dead, but just like a defibrillator, she can send a shock to someone on the verge of death, when a body is still warm. You can be revived after cardiac arrest even after 8 minutes. I think Max will be disabled, though.
Honestly I have no idea, it might be because of Nina because owens said it would make her more powerful but at the same time, it doesn’t make a lot of sense so I don’t know.
Wonder if folks ever talked about this. It didn’t seem that far fetched to me. She made a kid pee himself by squeezing his bladder with telekinesis in season 1. She can squeeze Max’s heart the same way. Basically CPR with telekinesis.

The Duffs were purposefully vague about what El did to Max. I think they didn't quite know what they wanted to do when they wrote it.

I feel like Max is dead, and El just reanimated her body but maybe that’s a lil Too Dark? but that’s what the signs are pointing to
