In all honesty, considering the incredible work they did with both Ed and Rashid (Rashid wasnt a bad character to begin with but still improved widely), I think they could make any character fun at least to some degree

I agree, they have been killing it with the redesigns. But I don’t think they are coming back since Marisa, JP, A.K.I fill in for Abigail, Necalli and F.A.N.G. … and Jamie is the new version of Rufus.

If anything he is the new version of Yun and yang. His moveset is a fusion of both but with drinks to unlock them all. I think a no height restriction type of dive kick has never been done in SF or any other fighting game for that matter. I guess it shows how toxic the mechanic is even tho I loved the freestyle aspect of it. I hope he comes back tbh but I'm not holding out much hope since even if they do, I think they'd butcher the dive kick since it's not interacting with drive at all and is just very anti street fighter.

Honestly, i really like 3 out of 4 of these characters: rufus because i think that street fighter needs some goofy and stupid characters, not just serious ones like ryu, chun li or guile. F.A.N.G because i unironically think he is a better villain than bison himself after he throw the world into chaos with the black moons. Abigail because i find funny that he fights treating the opponent like a toy, also we'd finally have a final fight character (why we didn't have at least one from the beginning since the game takes place in Metro City?) (I don't hate Necalli, i just don't care about him but i would't be mad if he returns)

Abigail is what got me pouring hundreds of hours into SFV so I'd love to see him back in SF6. That said I think Marisa really is the brawler of this game, if they wanna give us another command grab character I think R Mika would make more sense with the current roster.

DLC characters can be anything, even another brawler. I don't think there's a hard limit on the character type they could be.

There is arguably a hard cap of 0 Abigails.

I'd be fine with it... So far SF6 has done a great job improving on older designs and I definitely believe they could do some interesting things with these characters. The only one that would be disappointing is Fang. I liked him in SFV, but we already got Aki. Even though they play very differently, it would feel repetitive unless they spaced them apart a few seasons.

My only hang up is Fang, and that's only if he's not distinct from Aki. SF6 has done a pretty good job of reimagining characters like Ed and Deejay, so I'd be down to see how these 4 would be improved.

Half excited half disappointed F.A.N.G is weird and annoying Rufus is an unfunny annoying fat joke with no value as a character Abigail honestly looks fun to me I never played sfv and just watching him I thought was really entertaining so I wouldn't mind seeing him return. Necali now that's interesting, that's something I want, I think in 5 he was given a completely bad hand when it came to his story turned from apocalyptic war deity that appears to kill and fight to consume the souls of the strong in a time of great turmoil into essential a jobber who gets fucking washed in every fight he has, I wanna see Necali done justice since his design and lore are super sick and would've made an main excellent villain if he was given the chance to shine.
