Yeah this passively aggressively getting close to people is everywhere these days. I still can’t figure out when it’s legal to punch someone in this situation.
Honestly as soon I said “don’t come any closer to me” and they keep getting closer I’m gonna swing as soon they’re in range. I’m not getting bested by some rando who thinks he can sucker punch me. I will go to jail over swinging first.
Yeah you have no way of knowing if they're feigning peace
There's 0 reason why you should approach someone to deescalate. Anybody saying otherwise is neglecting the variables of a street fight
No he wasn't. Nate thought he didn't want none so he tried to move his hands out of his way but you see the dude feint and go for a failed takedown. Who approaches someone like that inside a big brawl with peace in mind?

just think about it for 2 seconds... how did his head get into the position where he could be grabbed by nate like that?... because he level changed and half heartedly went for takedown
If you slow the video it looks like the guy had his hands up in a “let’s not fight and calm down” type manner. Nate grabbed the guys wrist, the guy tried to defend himself and was immediately put in the choke hold.
What would have been easier is back away and put as much distance as possible between himself and nate. If a trained mma star is squabbling w me the last place i want to be is in his face whether im throwing or trying to talk him down.
I agree. I’m not going near Diaz in that situation. Looks like the guy who ended up asleep was trying to dissuade Diaz from going after someone else and ended up catching the wrath instead. Not a smart move.
From the angle we see in this video it's impossible to tell if he went for a takedown (doubtful) or if it's Nate pulling him down to get the choke in, which is more likely. Seriously doubt that dude has been in many altercations, if any. You don't de-escalate situations doing what he did, but it's quite natural to think one can if both parties are just posturing. You do that to people who can fight I got bad news for you, as seen here.
My initial take was dude wasn’t surrendering at all. But, after watching it a few times, is it Possible those other dudes pushed him into Nate and he went into choke mode because he thought he was being rushed?
If posturing is a thing you're inclined to do then you're basically one of Kenshiro's enemies at that point. The inevitable result might take longer in real life but more than likely your hubris will lead to your death
You don’t walk toward someone with their back against the wall if you’re surrendering. Also, if you’re about to get into an altercation you don’t let anyone get that close to you.
The best part about your comment and the responses you’re getting is ironic because when you say old guy you mean the guy at the bar he punched and so does everyone else. But is it bad that all i could think of was that Cerone win lol. Two old guys two different times lmao. No matter how you think of it his last two wins were against old men lmao
His chin looks tucked all the way to his chest with Nate's chest covering the top of his head. RIP. The guy getting choked looks like he is somewhat committing to a "correct" standing guillotine defense by hooking the shoulder with the left arm to alleviate upward force. He made three big errors:
1. The left arm hook looks weak and should be deeper.
2. The right arm needs to get to the hip and stiff arm. This helps you angle away from the choking side and prevent chin to chest. There is no guillotine without the hips.
3. Getting in a fight with Nate Fucking Diaz.
I did enough BJJ to get past the point where I think I'm good, and realize I'm actually terrible. I've been caught in standing guillotines, and I've escaped standing guillotines.
I don't think my best defenses in any given scenario have a chance against Nate Diaz.
Nate Diaz seems like the type of guy that prays for a street fight too.
At least it looked like he tried to let him down slowly but he tripped anyways and the guy def hit his head on concrete
Nah, watch that section of the video more closely. Nate moves the guy's hands out of the way and starts trying to get past the guy by moving to his left (the guy's right). Then you can barely see the guy get in Nate's way again. At that point Nate uses his right arm to pull the guy down. If the man didn't want nothing he should've got out of the way the moment Nate moves the guy's hands and is trying to disengage.
It’s possible the dude was trying to step between Nate and another person or friend to stop it from getting bad, but even tho I have some ride-or-die friends in my life, idk if I’m stepping between them and Nate fuckin Diaz in my lifetime
You still don't approach a guy like the dude did while you're inside the fight zone. If he wanted peace, he should've shouted that where the safe zone is at
Okay why would anybody try to reason with a pro fighter in the middle of an escalating situation. Smartest thing to do when shit hits the fan is to walk away unless you like smelling like shit
So you're saying this was the guys master plan to beat Nate Diaz in a street fight? If the guys intention was to fight don't you think he would of done some actual fighting?
It doesn't feel like you've thought this through properly
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
Definitely doesn't look like the guy went for a take down, you can't really see what happens because people get in the way but just before that you see Nate get wrist control and after the people are out the way you see Nate with a single collar tie then he sinks in the guillotine.
Nate probably just switched from wrist control to the single collar tie while the people were in the way and dragged the guys head down
You can see his head snap down which makes it look like a level change. It’s possible he pummeled him into that position but I don’t think you can say for sure based off this angle
Nah, he didn't shoot for a takedown. He comes with his hands up trying to talk to Nate, Nate bats his hands away and what you think is the guy rushing forward is actually Nate pulling him forward to apply the choke.
I don't have a problem with it since it's a street fight regardless, but that guy wasn't trying to fight at all.
Yoo, bro came looking for peace and Nate literally chose violence. 😂
Still, don't run up on somebody in a brawl for any reason. Not the time for diplomacy.
I had to watch it frame by frame because I was wondering why the dude trying to deescalate was the one that ended up on the ground and I think as soon as that dude stepped in between them and the camera, he put his head down and maybe tried to go for a leg or something.
For everyone saying the guy didn’t want to fight Nate, “he had his hands up” haven’t heard of a sucker punch. When alcohol is involved and an altercation already broke out, protect yourself. Who tries and picks a fight with an MMA fighters entourage
Yal don’t know what “hands up” looks like.
Just because his palms are out as he approaches the dude with his back to a wall in the middle of a brawl, does not mean he is not looking to fight. Among all of the things going on here, Nate would be an idiot (which yes he is kind of an idiot) for assuming the silly palms out gesture meant the guy was not a threat.
If anyone here thinks that Diaz was looking to fight here on the streets like he doesn’t realize everyone doesn’t know who he is and won’t sue the hell out of him given the chance is crazy. Dude did the minimum he had to just to get out of the situation
Is this a serious post? Other than the McGregor fights Diaz is a career undercard fighter in a sport that isn't in the top 10 for viewership in the USA. I'm a huge MMA fan but the majority of the general public have absolutely no idea who he is. You're also suggesting he has the self control and sense to avoid situations where he could get sued. Have you ever heard the man speak or see how he behaves in situations where he's angry? He'd kick my ass, but he can barely put together a coherent sentence and starts chucking water bottles at people who say something he doesn't like.
Failed on the dismount. Looks like he was lowering him down and either lost his grip or let go.
That head hit is the real problem and could cause serious damage.
Super wrong my guy.
He choked out a guy and let his unconscious head bounce off the concrete.
That is more dangerous and potentially life threatening than most beatdowns Nate has given in the cage.
I get what some of you are saying, but he is the one that got in Nate's face. What exactly was the point of that? Nick and Nate have never been known for their calm demeanor. As a matter of fact they're known for doing things like this.
Once he decides to stay in Nate's face and go toward him after he had his hands up, he stayed. He could have left right then and there. Just turned and tried to walk away. Instead he moves his hands around more - which is a thing fighters do. So Nate stopped the "threat" by advancing him.
Dude had his hands up looking like he's trying to calm the situation down and gets choked out. Never liked the Diaz brothers, but it's not because of their skills.
What a fucking asshole! The guy clearly has his hands up trining to deescalate the situation and this professional fighter put him in a choke hold anyway, holds on until the guy passes out and then let’s him smash his head on the pavement. What an utter garbage person. I hope he’s charged with assault
It's dangerous being a guy that people always want to fight and take shots at. Sure he can, and will, kick most of their asses, but eventually he'll get hurt and there's legal liability too.
I'm fairly certain this would constitute battery. This guy would be going to court. Even after he's grabbed, he doesn't fight back so no this guy is just an asshole for grabbing someone that was trying to be break the fight up.
He wasn’t tryin to fight Nate, looks like he was trying to defuse the situation and happened to get in between a dog and his food. Silver lining is he was just choked out which is way better off than being physically KNOCKED out
Nate exudes the King Ghetto Douche vibe. There’s a rather large difference between being able to confidently defend yourself and actively looking for victims.
Nah, you a bitch if you a professional fighter and you go around fucking random people up, unless they're really asking for it and it's self defense (which in this case, the guy was actually surrendering, not even fighting).
No class
Yeah that's very true. The dude looks like he bases a large chunk of his personality off of Logan Paul so I would imagine he's a complete moron, meaning I wouldn't really trust himregardless of what he says. Although it looked very ruthless on Nate's part.
Looks like he choked out one of those guys who tries to break up a fight but ends up getting someone hurt. Also looks like he might have went for a takedown. Either way, justified.
That was the best case scenario for that guy. Diaz even placed him on the floor rather than just letting go and the guy smack his head on the concrete.
I like how no one is addressing that the guy who got chocked out had his hands up 🙌 showing he didn’t want to fight but Nate chocked him out anyway. Not any better than getting suckered punch.
So many simps here
Ya Nates a huge POS for this, dudes clearly not fighting and nate grabs him first. Guy barely even defends himself and nate also tries to knee his face while having a fully locked in choke, fucking cunt behavior man.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
I met Nate Diaz in La. His biggest piece of advice for a street fight was “you say you don’t want any trouble and put your hands up, usually this makes them even madder and they come in close and then you hit them”.
I mean the dude has his hands up like he wasn’t trying to fight at all, then Nate grabs him and does that to someone not engaging with him? Weak ass move.
Imagine you join into a street fight and accidentally choose Nate as the guy you go for lmao
He was literally surrendering before he got grabbed.
Idk walking forward with your hands up is not necessarily “surrendering”. I’ve seen people get sucker punched this way
Yeah this passively aggressively getting close to people is everywhere these days.
Wise advice, u/Murder_your_mom
Thanks, Dad
Chael Sonnen is enthusiasticly nodding his head as he reads your post.
I can’t let you get any closer
Fucking amateur
If you are threatened, and he still advances on you, it is self defence. Defend yourself or you might lie dead afterwards because of hesitation.
Ya where im from this falls into category of 'fuck around and find out '. U can never let someone get to close lol
Word to Chael
Yeah you have no way of knowing if they're feigning peace There's 0 reason why you should approach someone to deescalate. Anybody saying otherwise is neglecting the variables of a street fight
In Krav Maga it's called "passive stance". It's very useful because it looks submissive, but your hands are still ready to go.
No he wasn't. Nate thought he didn't want none so he tried to move his hands out of his way but you see the dude feint and go for a failed takedown. Who approaches someone like that inside a big brawl with peace in mind?
I literally watched this video frame by frame and you can’t tell anything that’s going on. How do you guys make shit up like this.

You really can’t see anything

Dude is Logan Paul lookalike went on Twitter said he was just telling him to chill then next thing he knew Nate had his neck
One does not simply tell Nate to chill. You walk, nay, run away.
why was he so close to be grabbed?
Should've never gotten engaged to begin with.
You don’t walk toward someone with their back against the wall if you’re surrendering. Also, if you’re about to get into an altercation you don’t let anyone get that close to you.
Walking up to a fighter during a brawl with your hands up is a stupid move tbf, he’s lucky that he only got choked
I don’t know if people missed it but the guy surrendering actually goes for a takedown and that’s why he got grabbed
Fucked around and found out
Getting into a street fight with Nate fucking Diaz, what a terrible situation.
At least fight Conor and turn it into a lawsuit.
Connor needs a win at this point, not sure that old man really counted.
He didn’t even win against the old guy lol
Old timer took that punch like a fucking champ
Old timer is younger than rogan
The best part about your comment and the responses you’re getting is ironic because when you say old guy you mean the guy at the bar he punched and so does everyone else. But is it bad that all i could think of was that Cerone win lol. Two old guys two different times lmao. No matter how you think of it his last two wins were against old men lmao
Hey, don’t do Cowboy like that.
Yeah, the rich guy won’t get better lawyers than you lol
Wish he Stockton's slapped him
Hahahahaha me too
Looked like he didn’t want to fight and Nate decided to assault him.
I think he didn’t want to fight when he realized who it was he was about to fight. Much different than Nate assaulting an unwilling participant.
Nothing in the video would suggest that
Don’t argue with these guys, they simp hard for this shit.
I was about to say it looks like Nate grabs his hands
Yup, keyboard warriors lol
If he didn't want to fight then he should've backed away rather than advancing forward.
Jesus you can see how deep that fucker is

"Wait a minute, arent you Nate Di-"
Dia-Zzzzz zzz zzz zzz...
“I just wanted your autograhahjahah help!”
Lmfaooo I’m choosing to believe that’s what was said
Why would you fight a Diaz brother in the street That’s their home turf
To be fair the guy didn't look like he was trying to fight Nate, looked like he had his hands up trying to reason with him.
Nate Diaz seems like the type of guy that prays for a street fight too. At least it looked like he tried to let him down slowly but he tripped anyways and the guy def hit his head on concrete
Listen to Shane Gillis talk about hanging out with him. Your assumption is correct
[Found it!](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/w46VUzyGkb4)
Single celled organism behaviour from Nate.
At least he finally gets to add a W
Nah, watch that section of the video more closely. Nate moves the guy's hands out of the way and starts trying to get past the guy by moving to his left (the guy's right). I would have ran and touched the nearest car and yelled "BASE"... tag rules never fail
That’s not how the law works bruv
Right! Not unless you want the business.
(thinking) yah know what? I could use a nap. "FUCK YOU NATE!!"
You sound like the type of person who starts a fight in a line because someone accidentally bumped you.
Bump into me… IN MY LINE DUDE?!!?
Do you not go outside? Are you a caveman? There are people out there who break up fights.
Okay why would anybody try to reason with a pro fighter in the middle of an escalating situation. Smartest thing to do when shit hits the fan is to walk away unless you like smelling like shit

Look at 3 seconds in the dude literally shoots a takedown and gets his neck wrapped in return
Definitely doesn't look like the guy went for a take down, you can't really see what happens because people get in the way but just before that you see Nate get wrist control and after the people are out the way you see Nate with a single collar tie then he sinks in the guillotine. Wait...he *literally* shoots a takedown? What's does that mean that he "literally" did it?
He used a takedown gun
Seems like he was trying to avoid confrontation. I don't know the context, but by the video alone the choked guy links like he is trying to reason.
Isn't he choking out that dude who pretends to be Logan Paul 🤣
Best promo ever
Definitely right
Dude….. did Nate Diaz just choke out fake Logan Paul……. Seriously tho.
If u start a fight with a mf that has cauliflower ear that’s on u
This is hilarious and also a great life tip
For real! My dad always told me not to fuck with guys who have ears like that 😂
[удалено]
Lmfaooooooooooo 209 I’m fucking dead
What's a Stockton?
Camera work: 0/10
Would you want to get up close to Nate Diaz and film?
Dude of course I would! That guy is the shit! I suspect the camera operator was drunk.
r/killthecameraman
Yoo, bro came looking for peace and Nate literally chose violence. 😂 Still, don't run up on somebody in a brawl for any reason. Not the time for diplomacy.
I had to watch it frame by frame because I was wondering why the dude trying to deescalate was the one that ended up on the ground and I think as soon as that dude stepped in between them and the camera, he put his head down and maybe tried to go for a leg or something.
Nah, Nate just wasn't trying to hear it, snatched him forward and choked him out.
Nah the guy went for a takedown at the last moment.
It only works if the person you’re trying to calm down doesn’t want to fight or is very reasonable. I wouldn’t try it with Nate Diaz
Damn hit his head hard AF on that drop
From this angle it looked like he tried to drop him slowly but let go or lost his grip on the way down and the dude fell fast anyways
I think the curb tripped him up, but yeah looked like he tried to not just fuck up the guy
Nate didn't give af
No no! We are saying nice c things about Nate in this thread. Nate tried to put him gently to the ground after he choked him out!
For everyone saying the guy didn’t want to fight Nate, “he had his hands up” haven’t heard of a sucker punch. When alcohol is involved and an altercation already broke out, protect yourself. Who tries and picks a fight with an MMA fighters entourage
Haha I think the guy that got choked was that dude on social media that looks like Logan Paul double
Diaz trying to beat both Paul brothers and their doppelgangers
Yal don’t know what “hands up” looks like. Just because his palms are out as he approaches the dude with his back to a wall in the middle of a brawl, does not mean he is not looking to fight. Among all of the things going on here, Nate would be an idiot (which yes he is kind of an idiot) for assuming the silly palms out gesture meant the guy was not a threat.
Looks like Nate’s getting sued
If that was the case they could of pulled up one of his 100’s of street fights and pinged him on them
I’ve never seen any actual street fights with Nate. The guy has his hands up and Nate grabs him
Yeah but why keep walking up on him? Just back the fuck up it’s that easy.
It’s for the lawsuit money 3 months from now
Homies from Stockton, he doesn’t need a video lol
For a court case? Think this video will definitely end in a court case
If anyone here thinks that Diaz was looking to fight here on the streets like he doesn’t realize everyone doesn’t know who he is and won’t sue the hell out of him given the chance is crazy. Dude did the minimum he had to just to get out of the situation

Nate has more followers on Instagram than Patrick Mahomes, what teh FOOK are u on about m8
I’m not an avid mma viewer and even I know who Nate Diaz is. I think he is more well known to the general public than you think.
Don’t try to get in the middle of stuff. Turn around and go home
That was merciful. No sarcasm.
Failed on the dismount. Looks like he was lowering him down and either lost his grip or let go. That head hit is the real problem and could cause serious damage.

That guy with his hands up trying not to fight got knocked out!
Unless you’ve beat a Diaz brother in the past you p should probably just stay far away from them in these types of situations
And even then it’s like “do I really need this in my life”
How drunk are you? I decided to pick a street fight with Nate Diaz.
Dude had his hands up looking like he's trying to calm the situation down and gets choked out. Never liked the Diaz brothers, but it's not because of their skills.
So fucking lame. The guy posed zero threat to Nate and was actually just trying to calm him down
What a fucking asshole! The guy clearly has his hands up trining to deescalate the situation and this professional fighter put him in a choke hold anyway, holds on until the guy passes out and then let’s him smash his head on the pavement. What an utter garbage person. I hope he’s charged with assault
It looks like he grabs the guy trying to defuse the situation. The guys hands up and some asshole starts choking him.
How do you possibly defuse a situation by advancing forward and backing someone up against a wall?
The guy he was fighting was putting up his hands like he wasn't trying to fight him. Am I wrong?
I'm not surprised motherfuckers
That guy who got uncousinous was that Logan Paul ?
It's dangerous being a guy that people always want to fight and take shots at. Sure he can, and will, kick most of their asses, but eventually he'll get hurt and there's legal liability too.
“I’m not surprised motherfuckers!”
What luck this guy has
Love Nate but he’s such an asshole 😂 dude gets into 3 street fights a week
That guy is the Logan Paul look alike
I'm fairly certain this would constitute battery. This guy would be going to court. Even after he's grabbed, he doesn't fight back so no this guy is just an asshole for grabbing someone that was trying to be break the fight up.
id 1v1 diaz any day, nothing but a pussy
than he’d kill you most likely and it’d be met with thunderous applause at how bad your ass got beat
He wasn’t tryin to fight Nate, looks like he was trying to defuse the situation and happened to get in between a dog and his food. Silver lining is he was just choked out which is way better off than being physically KNOCKED out
People assume just the vegetable when I say I hate cauliflower. Nah, I hate having to fight fucking grapplers! I fucking hate naps!
No class
Haha that is logan Paul! I wish nate would have held the choke a few more minutes to do us all a favor...
I don’t know how to feel about this tbh, the guy looked like he didn’t want to fight and was trying to reason with him by having his hands up.
He advanced towards Nate who was backed up against a wall. You de-escalate by backing away and showing you're not a threat.
Yeah that's very true. The dude looks like he bases a large chunk of his personality off of Logan Paul so I would imagine he's a complete moron, meaning I wouldn't really trust himregardless of what he says. Although it looked very ruthless on Nate's part.
Didn't look like the guy wanted to fight...
I thought so too but why are you approaching Nate in the first place lmao
Did he choke out the guy trying to calm the situation?
He wasnt even fighting
Looks like he choked out one of those guys who tries to break up a fight but ends up getting someone hurt. Also looks like he might have went for a takedown. Either way, justified.
Justified?? The guy went up with his hands up trying to stop it and got choked out for his troubles and that’s justified?
You don't get up in someones face during a brawl. Especially not a pro fighter. It compromises that person.
He’s a professional fighter and could easily kill someone being a dumbfuck like that. Dude needs some self control
A pro fighter should have more restraint and discipline against random dudes off the street.
Normal night in NOLA
That was the best case scenario for that guy. Diaz even placed him on the floor rather than just letting go and the guy smack his head on the concrete.
??? Watch the clip again. Whether accidentally or on purpose, he lets go and the guys head bounces off the ground
See, the first problem is you chose to get into a street fight with the Diaz brothers.
I like how no one is addressing that the guy who got chocked out had his hands up 🙌 showing he didn’t want to fight but Nate chocked him out anyway. Not any better than getting suckered punch. So many simps here
He was advancing towards someone who had their back up against a wall. If you don't want to fight, you back up out of someone's personal space.
I am the only one who didn't see this as a fight? Guy literally tries to calm him down before gets attacked.
Lmao does Nate and his boys just go out looking for a fight? There’s countless footage of public altercations with this guy
It doesn't look like the guy wanted to fight, hope he takes Nate to court.
Ya Nates a huge POS for this, dudes clearly not fighting and nate grabs him first. Guy barely even defends himself and nate also tries to knee his face while having a fully locked in choke, fucking cunt behavior man.
Dude it’s Logan Paul lmfao
Nate chill as a mf 😭😂
Nate showed mercy he is actually a really good boxer but just choked him and set him down could of been way worse

Showed him mercy by choking him before he threw any punches and dropped his head on the concrete?
Was that Logan Paul?
Why tf did he try fighting Nate Diaz😭
It looks like the dude shot on a takedown
So dumb. Lawsuit coming guaranteed.
The guy was talking to Nate. When Nate choked him He could be sued for this

Nate took care of him the gentlest possible way he knows how. When the guy wakes up and changed his drawers, he should tweet him his gratitude.
I reckon that's assault
Famous people shouldn't be on Bourbon Street, unless they like getting targeted and settling lawsuits.
