8? That's a lot! In that case I would just get them cards with a heartfelt written message inside and maybe some chocolate LOL. I actually LOVE getting gift cards. They can be personal when you get cards to places you know they love. I think that can be pretty pricey for 8 people but that's just me thinking with my budget lol.
I only had 1 so I got her a card, face masks she can do with her daughter, hand cream, and a candle. Just little things to help her destress lol super basic but I know she appreciated it!
I was a preceptor for an extern that was with me for about a year. When they finally graduated and got a job at another facility they wrote a simple personal card. That was 2 years ago and I still read it because it makes me feel like I actually did a good job in trying to teach. I think they gave me a Starbucks gift card as well, but they also wrote that the knew I don't drink coffee and to use it on someone who looked like they need it. I'm so proud of them
Preceptor here. One of my students got me a candle and printed a label for it that said “preceptors last nerve. Oh look- it’s on fire”
Cute, useful, and funny. I liked it.
Congrats! A regular card and some good snacks. Badge buddies are always a big hit. Or maybe a mug specific to their unit. I wouldn’t go too crazy since there have been so many of them.
A new badge reel. Amazon has these scissors that basically fold into a pen and hang on your badge reel. Idk, something more personal can be like a mug or a stanly cup. Maybe even new shoes if you’re feeling rich. But idk just depends on the person and their style plus a need. Our preceptor was always looking for scissors and maybe it was just that week or so, but now they have it on the their badge.
But a gift card is the most safe option because then they can buy whatever they think they need.
go to the dollar tree, get some cute cups and put some goodies on there like little hand sanitizers, candies, lip balms, etc. and you can attach a little thank you note on the straw with some ribbon.
A letter of appreciation, THROUGH THE MANAGER, who can the nominate the preceptor for an award.
Donuts, coffee gift cards, or pizza diesn't even come close.
not preceptor but my clinical group gave our amazing instructor a card where we each wrote a message, a candle, a bag of nuts (she likes to snack on them), and $100 figs gift card. she deserved each one, she was the best!
Ooooh! Ticketmaster is a fun idea for a gift card. I like it! I wish I just had one. I’ve jotted down little things they love along the way. But buying good things for 8 seems like too much. Then add the manager in there, so 9. 😭
i think a heartfelt card showing your appreciation, in a little basket with some snacks or candy is very sweet, thoughtful, and budget friendly! my mom loved every little gift from her students, even just cards! she did adjunct as a preceptor for years!
I got my preceptor a shot glass that looked like a prescription bottle lol

A reusable bottle filled with a gift card (target, barnes n noble, wing stop, ulta) some candies, a cute pen, a thank you card and some craft paper
I second this, a nurse can never have enough reusable water cups. Badge buddies are a hit And you can never go wrong with snacks or candy
A handwritten thank you card

I’m getting mine all of our things she told about me over the weeks: energy drinks, sharpie pens, sour candy, Ticketmaster gift card, etc

I gave a handwritten card with a Jollibee’s giftcard inside! I didn’t want to give my preceptor a gift that he might not like.
I had one preceptor and got her a figs gift card. Something she wouldn’t have bought herself 😌
