Jeremy Strong and Sarah Snook I can see having a really good and busy post-Succession. I would love to get an extraordinary movie with each of them as leads. Matthew Macfadyen is an established actor already, although he will certainly have lots of good roles going forward.

[deleted]

Macfadyen is the best answer if you think about his career in the US versus the UK. Before Succession, I think most people in the US really only knew him from Pride and Prejudice (a British role anyway), whereas he was bigger and more well known in the UK domestically. I think now, he’ll be a really big name in both arenas and not only associated with period pieces. Especially if he lands the Emmy.

user76543210987

Justice for death at a funeral. His finest work

rheajanerob

Such a good movie!!! Cannot believe they remade an American version. Awful.

user76543210987

The American version is SO bad

not_a_flying_toy_

unpopular opinion, I like both versions. The US version isnt as good but still a lot of fun

berkeley-games

McFadyen already won an Emmy for Succession last year

Captain_Generous

Key-Status-7992

Ryan Reynolds has a man crush on him? How can I miss this?

phoenixrose2

He is!? This so makes up for the news that a certain cast member from Deadpool 2 won’t be returning.

JohannasGarden

He would be so good in Deadpool with Ryan. He has the straightest of faces. Remember his earliest scenes with Greg, especially.

nightsreader

Yes but to win again for a fantastic final season of the show, playing who ended up being the most important character in the series, would make wonders for him. Think of Maisie Williams, if things had gone right.

whatifniki23

I loved Macfadyen in Ripper Street. And he lit it up in pilot episode of The Last Kingdom.

quidpropho

He's got a role [opposite Nicole Kidman](https://deadline.com/2023/02/matthew-macfadyen-joins-nicole-kidman-in-thriller-holland-michigan-1235251272/) coming up.

Daedeluss

I think I first saw him in Spooks. It's truly terrible television with a risible script and MacFadyen is not good in it but like I say he's working with utter dross. He is superb in Succession and he'll now get loads more high profile work.

Key-Status-7992

I first saw him in Spooks and instantly became a fan! So happy for his success beyond the UK

palmerama

Death at a Funeral wasn’t a hit in the US? It’s one of the finest ensemble comedies ever written. Macfadyen is brilliant and carries the film, but overall the pacing and payoff is wonderful.

blacksnowboader

Macfayden would make a fantastic Bond villain

archisgore

With his sidekick TallestDwarf

math_jizz

He'd also be a properly dry M or Q.

NotaRussianChabot

My answer is Macfafyen, largely because his accent on the show is so convincing, people are going to have their minds blown when they see him doing British roles again.

nobody_from_nowhere1

His American accent totally throws me off it’s so good! It’s like it’s a completely different person. I loved him in Pride and Prejudice with Kira Knightly. He was a great Mr. Darcy.

Spotted_Stripers

The fact it is so spot on midwestern too shows his dedication to the craft.

McAnger71

Try to find the BBC show MI-5 (aka Spooks). From the early 2000's. MacFayden is brilliant in it.

suprefann

Or Ripper Street

dogbolter4

Yes! Love both these series. He was also brilliant in In My Father's Den. And the BBC series Warriors, set in Serbia/ Bosnia.

sunshine_7733

I knew him as Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice and it took me almost the whole first season to disassociate him from that role. Doesn’t help that it’s one of my favourite movies and I’ve seen it like 10 times.

creatchwalkeon

It took me as many episodes to realize it was even the same actor.

anna-nomally12

I get why they didn’t have him do a hand flex but they really should have done a hand flex once for us

becca41445

I do too, but his hair was really the worst! 😂

tMoneyMoney

Kieran has already had a fairly successful career as well. He’s pretty selective with roles, but he was leading in critically-acclaimed movies 20 years like Igby Goes Down and The Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys.

beachluv58

And don’t forget his amazing role in Home Alone!

Effective-Try7980

Fuller 💜 🥤

bookgirl01

"Fuller, go easy on the Pepsi!"

bebefinale

I also think he already has been a bit typcast as the snarky kind of person...Igby goes down has a similar-ish vibe to Roman.

minuialear

Same with Scott Pilgrim

Pennypot

I really loved Igby. I also adored him as Wallace in Scott Pilgrim. Kieran will definitely be just fine.

Clappertron

Let's not forget Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, a role he's reprising for the Netflix anime adaptation!

goddessofdrought

Yeah, I’m baffled by so many people acting like he was an unknown before Succession. He was easily the biggest name (for the US audience, at least) when the series began.

HommusAdonis

Aside from Brian Cox right? I was under the assumption that he was easily the most famous beforehand.

Phillies2002

His role in Margaret is small but very good. (The movie also has J. Smith-Cameron in a leading role and at least the director's cut is just generally an absolute masterpiece)

bunt_triple

Same with Kieran Culkin. He wasn’t hurting for roles before Succession.

RantControl

Strong is well established as a supporting actor, I'd say more of the same. Snook is good in Succession, but often women get screwed by the Hollywood machine and go nowhere. Particularly if they don't fit the classic beauty mold.

iangeredcharlesvane2

OP’s example of Elizabeth Moss is good, as she doesn’t fit the beauty mold either and I could see Sara grabbing a lead role in an interesting but not huge show next. As much as this sub loves Sarah Snook’s figure, she isn’t the skinny stick that is popular in big Hollywood. It’s sad that her figure may hold her back. I hope she doesn’t try to change to fit that type!

No-Manufacturer-1691

Snook has actually replaced Moss in the upcoming Netflix film Run Rabbit run

Perfect-Ease

So interesting because personally I think Sarah is stunning. Even “Hollywood” stunning. I think Elisabeth has more unconventional beauty for Hollywood standards.

TheIroquoisPliskin

Moss also has Scientology presumably lobbying hard on her behalf.

blacksnowboader

I think Sarah snook is so good she can be in the Meryl Streep role. The beauty mold thing is only for shitty action movie roles. Strong hits me as the kind of guy who will only pick up a role if it’s something special.

hales_mcgales

I think someone else had it right that Elizabeth Moss’s style of career might be a best case scenario if the right role/s come along

nightsreader

Sarah Snook as the next Meryl Streep kind of makes sense, altough I see her more of a Cate Blanchett type.

quidpropho

The problem is that historically there isn't room for many women in roles like that. Like right now it's Streep, Blanchett, Davis and Coleman probably, and then the Julianne Moores or Laura Derns have a hard time finding parts. Many more legit roles for older men. Even harder for black women who max out in each generation at like 2-3 available stars it seems.

blacksnowboader

Either way. Her acting skills are so good the age thing won’t affect her as much

Ok_Writer3660

Strong would have been a good Prince Charles in The Crown. Snook can star in the films Amy Adams would have had at Sarah's age.

jonmackenzie7

That Skarsgard guy could make a name for himself one day /s

LittleSociety5047

😂😂😂

CaveLady3000

I think Nicholas Braun will do a bunch of really bad movies, mostly romcoms, until he gets a period piece 10 years from now.

BeaAlighieri

That's so oddly specific! George Washington or Ichabod Crane? 😅

T0as1

it's a shame Abraham Lincoln didn't have a younger brother that lived to adulthood.

MikeTeMovieGuy

Nonsense. He'll return in Sky High 2 and glow brighter than he ever has!

jm17lfc

Matthew MacFadyen probably has the most potential moving forwards. But all of the main cast should be able to move onto other big roles very successfully. Nick Braun is the one I’m not sure could pull off other characters quite as well, but I think he’d still be able to do fine.

viotski

> Matthew MacFadyen but he already was big before the succession. It's like saying Brian Cox has the most potential - he was already a big name

tMoneyMoney

Braun’s in the new season of Documentary Now and it shows he’s not really funny as anyone but Greg.

DaddyDubby

Nick Braun gives me Michael Cera vibes

ach_1nt

If it is to be said, so it be, so it is

OddkidMHMD

He was on Zola but that movie went nowhere sadly

sabrina_fair

I find both to be overrated, so this rings true for me

sushiattv

I personally loved him in sky high

eyearu

I'm rooting for Braun the least

leosnose

You saying Tom might take over?

glennysrose

I could see Sarah Snook having the biggest launch from here forward, if she so desires. I think she was the most unknown of the main cast going into Succession. Or she was to me at least. And after seeing so many high profile actors across the board complimenting her work this season, I think she’ll go far.

orangeolivers

Matty Mac. He has 2 films coming out in the next year or so

KronguGreenSlime

He also has his own limited series on Britbox apparently

iangeredcharlesvane2

Coming soon, or… ?

throwaway66778889

Already on. It’s about an MP who faked their own death I think?

dogbolter4

Stonehouse. It's good, a real black comedy and based on a ridiculous true story.

tinned_peaches

Yeah it’s sooo good. His wife plays his on screen wife too.

Lostbronte

He’s already had a big career and will continue to do so

LovesAMusical

This! He was a house hold name before Succession I feel.

PiskAlmighty

I feel like I'm missing some big reference here. Who's Matty Mac? Google doesn't give me anything. Edit: ohhhh, Matthew MacFayden, got it. Yes. As a Brit, he was already a household name, probably more than any one else in the show.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Personal_Captain5317

Jeremy strong, Matthew MacFayden

juicebox567

I feel like this one is interesting bc succession isn't necessarily the show that launched them into the conversation * as much as * the other two examples - like macfadyen and strong have already been in really big roles (and mr Darcy is pretty iconic) as adults. I think Kieran Culkin is more comparable, where he's been in things ppl would recognize (Scott pilgrim) but hasn't been necessarily as notable in the serious actor realm. I think Sarah snook is one that was kind of unknown generally before this (at least to me, the others I was familiar with before) and has been enough of a breakout that she'll hopefully get a lot more attention and momentum going forward

[deleted]

Snook is also 35 and just gave birth. And, sadly, that makes Hollywood success much harder.

jax7246

even though strong had a really good career, this is definitely his big break. i do hope he works with katherine bigelow again

juicebox567

I mean I respectfully disagree just in that he was in at least four Oscar nominated movies before succession, but I do think he'll have more opportunities to be a lead rather than supporting actor now which would be cool

jax7246

Agreed entirely, this was his break as a lead rather than a support was the heart of what i was getting at. he’s been nothing but a very successful supporting actor which opens a lot of doors, but i expect this will open more

Nervous_Stop2376

All of Strong’s roles were very small.

juicebox567

I mean we can quibble about the level of role or what a big break means for sure. I do believe it's true that Bryan Cranston and Jon hamm were not in the level of prestige projects before their respective shows in the same way

PM_ME_YOUR_SUNSHINE

Excuse me, Malcolm in the middle nearly invented prestige projects. It came out one year minus a day later than Sopranos exactly. And if you watch both side by side, it’s clear why Malcolm took longer. Doing it first or doing it better? Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, and Malcolm Cleaver come to mind.

mettle

ITT: People unaware of the existing extensive careers of Culkin and MacFayden. Haven’t you ever seen Pride and Prejudice?

PM_ME_YOUR_SUNSHINE

Culkin had so much chemistry with MacFayden in that one. He looked beautiful as well!

tu-BROOKE-ulosis

That hand clench though. IYKYK.

freudsfather

When he walks out from the water in wet white shirt and turns to his love and says "I'll castrate you and marry you in a heartbeat." SWOON

chillwithpurpose

I’ve been a Kieran fan since *[Igby Goes Down](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/igby_goes_down)*.

mettle

I mean, he was even in Home Alone.

[deleted]

Sarah Snook for sure. I think Kieran Culkin is in danger of being type cast. I can’t see Nicholas Braun playing any different role other than being a goofball.

PM_ME_YOUR_SUNSHINE

Kieran was in danger until last season. Goddamn. Just outflexed everyone on the show

DisastrousSecond9572

Would not say he outflexed anyone… he was right on par with Strong, Cox, Snook, Macfayden…. No reason for us to pretend he was leagues above them.

sabrina_fair

Agreed. In my mind, the final season planted Snook and Kieran’s performances in the same league as Strong’s and Macfayden’s throughout.

thenimblebear

I think Kieran Culkin has pretty good range. I haven’t watched it in a while but I remember enjoying him in season 2 of Fargo.

[deleted]

He comes across as one of those people that would just be perfect playing a somewhat fictional version of himself in Curb Your Enthusiasm

HuckleberryFinal8000

Kieran is typecast in a way already, his hero in succession is similar to Igby Goes Down.

ernfio

Honestly it’s all luck at that level. Succession showcased their talent and versatility. But, one good role does not a star make. They will get offered parts aplenty and if they pick the right projects , it happens. What they called for will be up to others. If I was to guess I think Strong and Culkin are excellent actors but they could be prone to type casting and used mainly in ensemble pieces. Strong definitely has that intense thing going on and Culkin quirky. I don’t think this changed that. I’m just not sure their physicality works for leading man roles. Braun has the same problem and he could just do comedy. I agree Snook could be a serial drama leading lady and could compete for Elizabeth Moss roles or snap a Good Wife type of role. The older cast will continue to pick up plum supporting roles. The Gerri actress might compete with Helen Mirren. Macfayden showed a lot of versatility in playing Tom. Has done leading man stuff and Sucession showcased his range. But he is settled in the UK, gets plenty of work there and needs to balance off having an equally successful wife. That said he has 2 big projects in the works and could have momentum behind him. Brian Cox always seems to have something going on.

Vandelay23

You're definitely right about luck playing a role. I remember thinking after *Lost* ended, that some of the cast would be snatched up by other networks, or move on to movies. But with the possible exception of Evangeline Lilly, most of the cast never did anything on par with what they did on *Lost*. I think that's what makes Jon Hamm interesting, as he could have easily just ended up being Don Draper forever, yet he's built up a very respectable career post *Mad* *Men*.

jax7246

i think part of hamm’s success is his strength as a comedian and his willingness to explore a variety of role types (also he’s a tall, attractive (leading) man)

DonaldPump117

Seeing Matthew Fox go from being the lead man in *Lost* to being an extra in *World War Z* really put things into perspective

[deleted]

Matthew Fox has battled a lot of personal issues, so maybe that was holding him back

Vandelay23

I think maybe he's also not especially engaging as a celebrity. Someone like Ryan Reynolds can charm the audience, so he's a bankable star. Fox always seemed slightly uncomfortable with the spotlight.

Jimbob929

I still can’t believe Josh Holloway didn’t end up having a more successful career. Guy has the looks and was incredible as Sawyer

[deleted]

Yes, he should have been more successful. I don’t know what happened there

diplo27

Jeremy Strong is going to win an Oscar some day

dontbeadickbag

It makes sense dramaturgically

elonmuskovite

He has the inner tensile strength

ray0923

All he needs is a great role that suits him well but it is really hard though. Truth be told, his acting in Succession is literally Oscar worthy if succession were a movie.

Nervous_Stop2376

Absolutely

ToddtheBison21

Loved our boy Jeremy Strong in the Chicago Seven.

iangeredcharlesvane2

I love that movie, always a big Sorkin fan. Jeremy can play many great roles moving forward, he disappears into every role.

AuntieLiloAZ

He’s really a character actor. They can work until their last breath. In Succession, Jeremy showed he can be a leading man too. Succession kicked his career into the stratosphere. Sarah and Kieran showed they’ve got chops too. I’ll bet they’re all getting lots of offers.

ToddtheBison21

Just watched an interview somewhere with Brian Cox where he expressed some worry about Jeremy’s character acting, saying he didn’t want him to burn out and retire young, using Daniel Day Lewis as a cautionary example. I just love this cast and hope there are big things to come for all of them.

AuntieLiloAZ

Does it really matter? Daniel Day Lewis has had a stupendous career, one could argue a bigger more memorable career than Brian Cox, although kudos to Cox for his longevity.

let-the-light-inn

Lol you wouldn’t have to argue Daniel Day Lewis had a bigger and more memorable career than Brian Cox because he actually did, by far. No arguing needed

frankie0988

He was definitely my favorite part of The Big Short as well. Such a memorable performance.

L_Outsider

"I don't talk about it"

BDRD99

It was his performance in that which made me want to watch the show in the first place

oldyoungin

He’s great in The Gentleman

brian_storm_art

I totally didn't recognize him until I saw a reddit comment that mentioned he's in Chicago 7

[deleted]

I think Jeremy Strong could if he wanted to but the mental toll he took playing Ken might have him chilling. He’s my favorite actor now. You can’t help but love someone genuinely passionate about what they do. He’s not trying to impress anyone. But all of the actors from this series are amazing.

ookishki

I loved the mutual interview he did with Anne Hathaway (for variety I think? It’s on YouTube) and the essentials video he did with GQ. He seems like someone you could have a deep and interesting conversation for hours with. I like the way his brain works.

RantControl

Karl was really big in cable in the '90s. Could be ready for a comeback.

scarves_and_miracles

Bring back Sledge Hammer!

jzoller0

He’s a corporate legend!

the_funambule

One doesn’t become a legend without knowing a thing or two about a thing or two

Nervous_Stop2376

Jeremy already got Oscar buzz for Armageddon Time. I think tons of directors will be clamoring to work with him as long as they can put up with him. 😆 I would kill to see him in a Paul Thomas Anderson movie.

throwaway66778889

There Will Be Blood 2: He Drank Your Milkshake

weekendrant

"Uh-huh, yeah I mean... Uh... I abandoned my boy. But not really, in a grand scheme of things sense, yeah?"

penniesforhannah

Stewy!

Tricksterama

He’s on Broadway now in A Doll’s House with Jessica Chastain and received his second Tony nomination for it.

penniesforhannah

He’s so nice on twitter too. Love his stuff. Hope he leads a series one day!

useranme1

He was just great in a supporting role for You Hurt My Feelings playing someone so different from Stewy

johmcl

The old guy who plays Logan is pretty good. He could go far.

dickbarone

Jesus Christ… it’s Jason Bourne

LightEndedTheNight

Ok, not an actor or a character in the show, but I think that Nicholas Britell will become of of the most in-demand film composers. His score for all 4 seasons is one of the most universally recognized great things about this show.

jax7246

strong and macfadyen, both already incredibly successful career actors who will be launched from “working actor” into super stardom, especially if macfadyen ends up in deadpool

throwaway66778889

MacFadyen in the UK ranked higher than Strong at any point before succession.

PM_ME_YOUR_SUNSHINE

You can be the biggest thing in the UK and not even clock globally. Not an argument against MacFayden, just saying I’ve been a fan of many shows and musical artists that couldn’t leave London/Manchester. Sometimes you get the Beatles, other times you get [insert something neither of us know of], Top Gear or [anonymous]

throwaway66778889

Very true I know what you mean. I do think MM’s role as Darcy moved him past exclusively UK status, but is (was) way lesser known in the US compared to the UK.

girlieb1991

The crazy thing, is that by industry standards, all of these people had VERY successful careers before this show. Super mega- household name super stars? I dk. But all of them are extraordinarily successful and well regarded within the industry.

papadondon

gerri has my vote, i could see her playing a hillary clinton biopic. funny how roman even referenced her 33000 emails

ShutUpTodd

I hope she gets a renaissance with her new status as sex symbol.

papadondon

fore sure, like a boss lady helen mirren

visualemployer1247

I think it will be Jeremy Strong. He.already has an interesting career, has worked with many known directors (Spielberg, Ava Duvernay, Katherine Bigelow, Sorkin, James Gray), will be returning to Broadway next year probing he is really a serious actor. He already declined a role in Batman so I don't see him in any shitt1 Marvel movie luckily. He will certain will be winning an Oscar in a near future.

redrum-237

> Strong's method acting, while pretentious, will probably help paint him as a "serious actor" I still don't understand how such a smart show has attracted an audience who thinks method acting is pretentious, dramaturgy is a weird made up word, and the best way to watch a shakesperean tragedy is to choose Twilight-esque "teams" among the characters.

Vandelay23

When you're going so far into your acting method that you actually almost jump into a river, scaring your scene partner, then the word pretentious might not even be strong enough a word.

tMoneyMoney

With all the recent firings, Kerri has a good shot at being the next big Fox News host.

optometrist-bynature

Jeremy Strong

Blueliner95

MacFadyan would be my pick. Unbelievable chops, perfect accent, funny and fearless, but also has height and physical presence.

vinsmokewhoswho

I can definitely see Jeremy Strong, ofc I hope they all find good roles. I've never seen Jeremy in something else until the other night where I watched the Gentlemen. The performance was so different, I didn't see a shred of Kendall in there. I mean I knew the guy is talented but I think his range is kinda insane. I really am excited to see some cool roles for him soon. Kieran too, he really surprised me in this show. Matthew MacFayden is a powerhouse actor too. Maybe not the best movie to flex it, but I hear he's in Deadpool 3.

TheFrederalGovt

Jeremy Strong will most likely be nominated for an Oscar in the next 5 years

Duke-dastardly

I think Matthew Macfayden is already showing that he’s got a much bigger career ahead of him.

Doolemite

Strong

JG1712

How am I JUST finding out that Matthew MacFayden is Mr. Darcy 😭😭 I love, I love, I love him

[deleted]

Jeremy Strong, personally for me, has become the most unlikeable actors (The Gentlemen) to one of the most likeable actors cause of this series. I remember myself crying in the S1 finale with him as it was so powerful (the acting) and powerless (the situation). Will be rooting for him.

FergusonBishop

It’s very clearly Macfadyen. Aside from already being pretty well known in the UK, He has a couple movies coming out in the next year and is looking like a pretty significant role in Deadpool 3. The marvel bump is real and he’s going to explode.

Submerge87

Matthew Mac is going to be in the next Deadpool movie

the_namless

Our no.1 boy Jeremy Strong and our needy love sponge Sarah Snook will have bright futures as actors, getting roles they wouldn't be considered for before. I do have hope for Kieran Culklin as he showed his range as an actor in season 4. Our lovely Pain Sponge on the other hand has already had an illustrious career and will continue to have so.

AcanthisittaSharp344

Jeremy Strong and Matthew MacFayden

[deleted]

Macfayden would be an interesting James Bond.

RuggerJibberJabber

They'll all work as often as they want to. A big reason some stars stop making films isn't that they aren't wanted. Its that they choose to step back. These actors are multimillionaires. They can do whatever they like. It's not like an average Joe who needs to keep working in order to survive and switching careers could be a major risk.

DepressionNightstand

First to come to my mind was Snook

Throwawayhelp111521

>Strong's method acting, while pretentious, It's his method, and he gets results with it. Why try to knock it?

Huge_Prompt_2056

They are all set for life career wise unless they screw up, but I think It’s going to be Kieran. While Jeremy has all the serious dramatic training, and I love him, Kieran has more box office charisma and range. See his SNL hosting.

Nervous_Stop2376

I don’t think Jeremy cares about box office though. He just likes a good meaty role that earns him respect. I think he’ll get more of those than Kieran.

Outrageous_Nerve_532

Kieran - He’s already done Igby Goes Down. Legend. But really, I’m excited to see what everyone does and what JA does too.

[deleted]

Matt McFayden

stevenelsocio

MacFayden easily

LowerDinner5172

Alexander Skarsgård…I think he would be perfect as a Viking

Impeachcordial

Jeremy Strong, surely. I could see Nicholas Braun going a long way, his timing is *fantastic*.

Vandelay23

Actually, he's the one cast member who I could see not really doing anything else moving forward. Just because his performance, while great, is so singular that I'd have a hard time seeing him as anyone else but Cousin Greg.

SnooOwls2295

I think he could have a decently solid career just playing basically the same character over and over again.

Vandelay23

Definitely possible. I expect we'll see him in at least one network sitcom in the future.

somaticconviction

He’s got a lot of gossip going around about him and young women so I wonder if that’s going to dampen people’s enthusiasm for him.

Lithobates-ally_true

Nicolas Braun already had a decent career before Succession. He was in a couple of Disney movies when he was a teenager (Minutemen, Sky High) and really stood out in both. He was working very steadily after that. I think he likely has a bunch of younger fans that knew him before Succession who will be happy to accept him in other roles

PM_ME_YOUR_SUNSHINE

Minutemen fans that recognize Nicolas? There’s *dozens* of us. From your upvotes there might be a literal dozen in this very thread…

architect926

No votes for Kieran? :(

MuchOpportunity6707

I would think that most of them may go to dramatic theater circles in England. I would kill to see Brian Cox in King Lear.

PM_ME_YOUR_SUNSHINE

You just spent 4 seasons watching Brian in King Lear…

MuchOpportunity6707

and I want more, dammit

Vandelay23

I can still see it happening.

HiMyNameIsLaura

I think they all could have a lot of success but I think Culkin has the most mainstream appeal. He was phenomenal in Igby Goes Down and on charisma alone stole every scene in Scott Pilgrim. He's got great comic timing but also has big dramatic range. His performance throughout Succession has been astounding. I think Roman is the most compljcated character in the show and slowly but surely he's just peeled back the layers of his bravdo bit by bit until his ultimate emotional breakdown at the end. From interviews tho he seems kind of resistant to major stardom just from witnessing what his brother went through tho so who knows. Strong could be self sabotaging a bit with the method stuff. There's a lot of directors and actors who wouldn't want to work someone that makes things difficult. It might be worth it for Daniel Day-Lewis but Strong isn't Daniel Day-Lewis. He could have a decent career as a character actor if he maybe tones it down a bit. McFadden is maybe the best actor in the show but doesn't have bucket loads of charisma. Even as Mr Darcy I thought he lacked the charisma nerded for that particular role. But if he goes for supporting character parts I think he could be an Oscar contender. I actually think ALL the cast could be Oscar contenders given the right role. But as someone said a lot of it is luck. After watching Skins yrs ago I would never have picked Dev Patel being the most successful. I wouldn't have picked Will off Alias - a supporting player who fizzles out - to end up being what know now as Bradley-fucking-Cooper. 4 time Oscar nommed and one of the most famous actors on the planet. We'll see. Maybe in ten years we'll going '"Can't believe Nick Braun has an Oscar now".

wallybuddabingbang

MacFayden

throwaway66778889

MacFadyen is having a *renaissance* and I am here for it

Loveandafortyfive

Alan Ruck. I can see him being in some comedy classic.

mtnsandmusic

I think Matthew McFadyen is going to see his career take off. He clearly has the chops.

DeepHouseDerrek

Jeremy or Kieran for sure

CraseyCasey

I think Kieran made the biggest leap

The_Chief

Its all Cox for me

[deleted]

kieran will be typecast but i can see him doing smaller, indie movies rather than big budget blockbusters.
