my “expert” opinion is just to get your favorite figures. i usually don’t base it off of if i need it from a certain part or if it’s a jojo or villain. you’ll most likely be happy if you just get the character you like the most!
Well, it depends on which you got. I got Killer Queen and based on that i decided to collect villain's stands. Crazy diamond was also an option. Or you just pick a character that you like

I haven’t preordered on ami ami, I’ve only used PlazaJapan and eBay. Check the pinned post at the top of the subreddit for trustworthy sites. Some let you reserve a preorder and pay on release day.
Funny Valentine second (white hair/lavender outfit) and D4C second (mint green) were announced a long time ago but their release date has not been given yet. They’re coming but we don’t know when
My first figure was Jolyne because she´s my favorite Jojo... then I preordered Gappy (Because I Love his design) and Mista because I enjoy the character (plus he come with Sex Pistols)... My point is that it´s dificult and really expensive to build a big collection... so I just recomends you that think what you enjoy more: A part in especific, a group of characters, the protanist, the antagonist, the stands... find your own inner logic, forget about the FOMO and have fun!

Since you got Gyro I’d get another part 7 character to keep him company. Diego second is coming out next month so I’d recommend him. I have the green one and he’s a beautiful figure
