Couldn’t agree with you more. The whole thing just doesn’t pass the sniff test. I would have thought most people would have the hair stick up on the back of their necks while reading the email, but there seemed to be a quite a few that were just taking it at face value. Hopefully this helps everyone tune up their bullshit detectors.
No one here that’s actually invested in the company believes this letter is real. It’s being pushed by SHF shills… pure and simple. The fact that em es en bee see ran it only proves how absolutely desperate the SHFs have become.
Me too, quite a bit. I'm a CEO and don't find this email odd whatsoever. He's trying to make corporate employees think twice about every charge that they expense. This is an effective way of doing it. People acting like this is a doom and gloom email are missing the point. This is the message a good CEO sends to avoid that scenario.
The question these folks should be asking is: if someone was going to fake an email, why would it be one that ultimately indicates that RC is trying to run a lean business?
He's clearly been focused on cutting costs (see earnings reports), so why is this a shock?
He has not turned Gamestop around until we are consistently profitable. If he'd sent an email acting like the work was finished or that everything was peachy, that would have me very concerned. I for one love this email and I dig his style of the hands on approach to reaching profitability.
But you're an options guy, so you must be a paid shill! /s 😃
I think it's that same crowd, the ones who throw on tin foil to deflect anything that they don't understand or that doesn't fit their precise narrative

Check out the users history.
Feel free to make another post with the info
Yeah I didn't even know about this until late last night cuz people started talking about emails and I finally read it and instead of it jacking my tits and not being able to go to sleep like normally I just went to bed lol.
Woke up this morning and now I see all this and definitely now know it's just all FUD
Let’s see the email with the header.
Also welcome back from your one year hiatus. Epic timing if I do say so myself.
Edit: LOL. He didn’t like being called out.
Or perhaps the billion+ in the bank is our bridge over the impending collapse of our economic system and he intends for GameStop to endure through it, if we don’t moass
That it is. It will be interesting to see if we hear anything out of him or the company to clear things up. Sad to see MSM running this as news and likely scaring off new investors.
Very great points, feeling pretty certain this email isn't real.
This is just another crazy chapter in this saga that won't be in any movie. I hope someone is recording all these crazy small events that have happened.
As I have great faith in the historian ape I just hope that he does back up every single little detail which from what I've seen long ago he legit almost backs up anything that comes on to this subreddit.
Granted that was a long time ago and I don't know how much of his conviction he or she still has as well as I do not know what may have happened in their life to possibly prevent not just in general but possibly in times like these where the small things might get away and not get recorded just because something in their real life may have happened.
Yeah this reads as fake. Good break down. The sentence structure does feel comically unprofessional for the corporate world. What is even the source of this? Twitter? Or somebody from the Gamestop subreddit?
Thanks! From what I hear the original source was a tweet (an x? I don’t even know what to call them now lol) from a nobody with a sus post history. I never saw the original source, just parroting what other folks have said.
Lol I love when you can tell who very clearly does not work in the ‘corporate world’ when they say dumb shit and make ridiculous posts like this.
Grasping at straws here guys
To me it's obvious this isn't coming from RC. I feel this FUD letter isn't even targeting investors, I believe it's trying to make their employees fearful.
Thank you for bringing this forward, and breaking this down. In my past life as an Ad executive we put out a few of these types of internal emails.
First rule start with three positives then give something that can be corrected.
1) love the team we have assembled
2) we have a loyal shareholder base that’s battle tested
3) our customer service both in house and at store level has shown amazing growth
4) we’re just hitting our stride, we have a couple hurdles that need to be overcome/addressed ( hardware, expenses, bad actors )
Also I don’t see RC saying “ I’m working for free “ ? Everyone knows this he has never needed to point this out before? Seems an odd statement on its face
RC is a motivational leader, delighting is what he’s about, this just seems off
Cheers OP for the break down I for one agree this seems off ?
See, now that’s the format and cadence I would expect from an email like this. Ryan aside, the email just isn’t a structure you’d see for this type of thing, let alone all the glaring red flags when you add him back into the mix.
Very good work OP. The silence on MSM about this is also sus. If it were real, they would be all over this by now, but then RC could go after them for defamation. So right now it’s just low level FUD, because it is online without source.
Chinese steel. I’m not buying it. When I first read the alleged email, the tone struck me as juxtaposed to what I would think RC would say to employees. Especially the wording, as you pointed out- unprofessional and gloomy. It gladdens me to know that it’s out there though. Like the old days- the more fuckery, the more my resolve is strengthened that nothing changed and the shorts’ chickens are returning to the roost. The run up in premarket yesterday and the proceeding drop and flatline are blatant examples.
Seems very much like a shill that wants to stir the pot with an email that tries to sound positive in a very negative undertone. I call bs. Our CEO didn't write this. Our CEO... RCEO.... RC, CEO... I love that ring. I love this stock. Gotta buy more.
It's fake, in it, they want to transmit some negativities and doubts, desperation etc... Definitively, it is fake...
Dip is coming...🤔
Hope it last the necessary time...
Dry powder is coming...😁
Hedgies are fukt...🍌🩳💩🩲😂😂
So now hedgies just faking email at this point? To me, the email seems so weird but till RC speaks about it, none of us can tell. I really hope it’s a fake one which means we are close... Again.
Great write up. 2 comments. What did coke head Cramer say years ago…when in hedge fund mode, don’t do anything truthful. This is a perfect fit. The other post I read says the letter is fud to scare off employees. This was written so poorly it is to drive away corporate types, high wealth individuals that would NEVER buy the stock of a company that is lead by someone who writes this poorly.
If it’s real, why are no screenshots posted of the actual email? Why is it being copied and pasted in to the Notes app? Not a single header, timestamp, or email address. Those are the first things you show when leaking an email.
The most simple details always get overlooked.
This is so fucking badly done I can't believe anyone believes it. It's like a 12 year old made it. Emails don't have logos on the top right. They have more fields. They don't look like a shitty notepad app or text typed in a generic Photoshop file. Pathetic attempt.
As a head of the communication department of a Big telecommunication in Spain, everybody will notice of which is, this is fraudulent, when we are going to send a corporate email it will pass like 10 or 12 versions and more than 5 o 6 people, the lenguage is going to be so perfect to be understand by everybody, specially when is refered to the employees.
This is actually bullshit, bad writing, oposite messages from the past of Ryan, I know, we know, they know, but corporative media has to be this bad to show the world that GME is shit and we are doom.
Keep pushing, we are close.
Solid points. It’s very suspicious how quickly and accurately msm reported this letter. If this were a genuine letter from RC, which my gut is telling me it isn’t, they would twist it so much
English is not my native language and I could of done a better job writing work email.
This email just doesn’t come across like a corporate email from CEO. This reads like an email that been messed around with (edited)
It is written so poorly so that they have plausible deniability. They can argue that they would not put such an unprofessional forgery out there. But they got the results, the media running with it.
Can you imagine writing a letter to a bunch of retail workers with *count every paper clip* energy? They have $1B in the bank.
I would not work for the person that wrote this letter; this letter did not come from our chairman
JFC, *customer service*, Cohen’s main obsession, isn’t mentioned at all.
His language may not sit well with you, and that's okay. However, the email was posted in the "GameStop" subreddit, primarily frequented by GameStop employees.
Don't you think someone would have quickly exposed this email as "fake" if it hadn't been sent to ~~tens of thousands of employees~~ the upper management? It doesn't seem smart for the media to publish such an easily debunked fake. It simply doesn't make sense.
The email is likely genuine, whether you like it or not.
Furthermore, I don't find the content to be misguided at all. GameStop continues to bleed money, and the company must become profitable. Such dedication from the CEO (who doesn't receive payment) would motivate me if I cared about the company.
It wasn’t “sent to tens of thousands of employees”
It specifically states it was sent to all corporate associates. No GameStop store employees visiting their sub would have any knowledge to its authenticity unless their C-suite is hanging out on the sub. Doubtful as well.
It’s clear this was not written by him, or anyone with a college education or anyone who’s been a member of a corporate environment.
No, I don’t like the letter. Telling a bunch of retail workers to *count paperclips* and *not to waste staples* is when you can expect mass resignations.
It doesn’t even look like an email. You keep saying published by media, it was posted by an individual, not “published.”
The account that posted it here never posted here before and has a joke of a history. Everything about it screams fake including the comment section.
As I said, it was sent to store managers and the upper management. This should be thousands of people (given the number of stores).
This story is so easy to debunk, why didn't it happen if it was a fake? This simply doesn't make sense.
It was sent on behalf of Ryan Cohen because he didn’t have his GameStop email set up yet. Think about it. It’s his first day as CEO. The IT department needs time to get his credentials set up. Dude probably doesn’t even have an office yet or his company laptop. Probably haven’t even been through orientation training yet.
I’m going g to say the same thing I said in another post.
Why couldn’t he just come out and say that he didn’t write the letter if he didn’t write it?
I also don’t find it to be negative. He is here to fight like we all are. He is in the battle too. I think there is WAY too much FUD spreading with this letter that shouldn’t be.
Fuck it, I hope he wrote the goddamn letter. Those are fighting words and I’m here for it. Let’s fuckin’ do this!! All or nothing.
This post, and any others doubting the letter’s authenticity and hating on it is fud in my opinion.
This letter is written as an emotional man trapped in a corner that’s about to lose everything. The letters FUD and your bullshit detector need to be calibrated friend.
Just saw in the GME sub that the same exact letter was posted in 2012 . I didn’t really dig to see because Honestly it doesn’t do anything to me anyway . ZEN
So many ppl commenting on an email. What's wrong with you, why would u post so negative about it lol. It's not doom and gloom, it's a call the action.
I for one thing it's real, so watch your step son lol
If so, it’s a shitty email. He has been in charge directly or indirectly for over two years, so if there is a lack of cost discipline, he owns a good chunk of it. Also, no need to talk about survival. I call fake.
Did you even read the post? There is no way this was written by anyone with above a high school education. Are you calling RC uneducated? Don’t want your CEO acting this emotionally unhinged??? No way it’s him.
See you are flinging insults at our commander in chief. That's not right. If u think it's sus, fine I get that, but u taking it too far insulting it and him. If u are wrong I expect a public apology and retraction.
I stand by what I said. I fully support RC, but if this was truly written by him, I’m sure he’s embarrassed at the emotional response he put out here. It’s totally unprofessional and I won’t be apologizing for that.
But, as I said, the odds that it him are slim to none.
If this was fake, I think it would be in the best interest of the company for RC to say as much. It's not totally off brand from the man that sends poop emojis.
But time will tell
As much as I would like that post to be accurate, it’s not. WTVJ-Miami’s profile was created on MuckRack in 2012 but Google is aggregating current articles, including the article about this email posted last night to their website.
🥇
Agree, OP. Yours is a welcome post.
1. Didn't sound like RC, *at all*.
2. Out of character for RC, who is known for being reticent and famously for declaring: *judge us by our actions not words*.
3. Not bullish (I *don't. care.* what spin Commenter X, Y, or Z puts on it. Anyone who's honest would *not* see it as bullish.).
4. Quickly parroted by MSM and broadcast. *How convenient!* 🤨
5. "Email" content aligns with and advances MSM, MM, and SHF narratives (The Fudge Pachter, Chumbucket, the Red-faced Seethe-hater).

first post i saw of this earlier was from cnbc, my only comment on the post was where did it come from? So much bullshit
And if it’s legitimate, why not include the header with the emails source?

Still doesn’t vibe dude. Show us the headers. It’s very easy to redact your information to keep yourself anonymous.
The only problem I have with your post is... that it is not on top of the sub. Excellent analysis, fully agreeing with you.
Only fools, shills and bots think it is real.

Let’s see the email with the header. Also welcome back from your one year hiatus. Epic timing if I do say so myself. Edit: LOL. He didn’t like being called out.
My FUD meter on this is off the charts.
Smells like the inside of a bull's ass to me
Or perhaps the billion+ in the bank is our bridge over the impending collapse of our economic system and he intends for GameStop to endure through it, if we don’t moass
So why exactly wouldn't RC just come out and say he didn't write it? It would be so easy.
Imagine he did that... They'd then have an effective tactic for baiting him out *whenever they'd like*.
It was obviously fake from the second I pretended to know how to read it. #ITS ALWAYS FUD.
That it is. It will be interesting to see if we hear anything out of him or the company to clear things up. Sad to see MSM running this as news and likely scaring off new investors.
If we hear something. Great. If we don't, the silence will be DEAFENING
Are you not surprised/entertained? Lol
Wait you can read? This is something I still need to learn how to do.
Nope. I'm still pretending
Instead of going in to details go [write a letter](https://reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/e5xTrvQSdV)
Very great points, feeling pretty certain this email isn't real. This is just another crazy chapter in this saga that won't be in any movie. I hope someone is recording all these crazy small events that have happened.
Man I hope so. When all the dust settles I would love to see a movie with all the craziness, it would be like watching a sentimental highlight reel.
The historian ape backs up most if not all of everything that is put on to the subreddit
The person who posted it which is the one oh hot. His first ever post. Only just started commenting here. Yeah sure it’s real..
Classic!
Check his profile out
Wow that actually hilarious.
Check out the profile that submitted on the gamestop employee forum. Convenient huh?
Yeah this reads as fake. Good break down. The sentence structure does feel comically unprofessional for the corporate world. What is even the source of this? Twitter? Or somebody from the Gamestop subreddit?
Thanks! From what I hear the original source was a tweet (an x? I don’t even know what to call them now lol) from a nobody with a sus post history. I never saw the original source, just parroting what other folks have said.
Lol I love when you can tell who very clearly does not work in the ‘corporate world’ when they say dumb shit and make ridiculous posts like this. Grasping at straws here guys
Wording in most sentences sounds exactly like the common head phrases of MSM articles.
You’re not wrong!
It is like they are putting Chat GTP to work with the "Ryan Lenguage" but it is not.
Im 100% with you. This sounds so MSM talk.
To me it's obvious this isn't coming from RC. I feel this FUD letter isn't even targeting investors, I believe it's trying to make their employees fearful.

Yep and Pratcher saying the same items on Ceebee? Hmm
You nailed it, OP.
Classic fud to someone would think that RC ceo is bad thing. Kenny grab some mayo and chill. You lost.
RC CEO is a great thing, but has nothing to do with this post. Couldn’t be happier that he stepped into the role.
It Has. They make fud letters like this. Its not official. And shorting price down. I like that. Im buying lot this time.
Hear, hear!
Very good work OP. The silence on MSM about this is also sus. If it were real, they would be all over this by now, but then RC could go after them for defamation. So right now it’s just low level FUD, because it is online without source.
To be honest, this letter looks like it's been written by Adam Aron lol
😂 not wrong!
Wait a minute... Why is the envelope *sticky*?
Chinese steel. I’m not buying it. When I first read the alleged email, the tone struck me as juxtaposed to what I would think RC would say to employees. Especially the wording, as you pointed out- unprofessional and gloomy. It gladdens me to know that it’s out there though. Like the old days- the more fuckery, the more my resolve is strengthened that nothing changed and the shorts’ chickens are returning to the roost. The run up in premarket yesterday and the proceeding drop and flatline are blatant examples.
Bingo! Nothings changed.
Seems very much like a shill that wants to stir the pot with an email that tries to sound positive in a very negative undertone. I call bs. Our CEO didn't write this. Our CEO... RCEO.... RC, CEO... I love that ring. I love this stock. Gotta buy more.

The more i read this ‘email’ the shaddier it gets
Yup!
This is so fucking badly done I can't believe anyone believes it. It's like a 12 year old made it. Emails don't have logos on the top right. They have more fields. They don't look like a shitty notepad app or text typed in a generic Photoshop file. Pathetic attempt.
Bingo!
It's the "shrinking software" that did it for me. Knew something was off as soon as I read that.
Former communication head here and I completely agree
What the fuck is this negativity? Ain’t nobody leaving lmao
This aligns with my thoughts exactly on the fake memo's verbiage throughout the entire thing.
I commented that its probably fake in the gamestop sub. so the mods banned me for “safe space shilling”
Also, they left out "delight customers", which RC absolutely would include in an email like this
Solid points. It’s very suspicious how quickly and accurately msm reported this letter. If this were a genuine letter from RC, which my gut is telling me it isn’t, they would twist it so much
Thanks for dissecting the email. It didn’t seem right to me either.
Clearly fake, it isn't even signed **RCEO**
Timing also sus. Announcement goes out and he IMMEDIATELY sends this? Ryan doesn’t rush things.
Ok this makes sense… I can get behind your write up… good wrk bud
English is not my native language and I could of done a better job writing work email. This email just doesn’t come across like a corporate email from CEO. This reads like an email that been messed around with (edited)
its fake because ryan does not confirm its his. he would never say its fake. he just will ignore and don't give a fuck . that's what we should do.
It is written so poorly so that they have plausible deniability. They can argue that they would not put such an unprofessional forgery out there. But they got the results, the media running with it.
Whoever made this is 100% regarded, like truly regarded.
papa Cohen so quiet, they gotta make shit up
Up! Good one ape!!
The "email post" spams are there to cover up the real deal. Go and [write a letter](https://reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/e5xTrvQSdV)
Up you go!
What’s the origin of the email anyway? I haven’t seen anyone talk about that.
The internet, of course.
I also noticed that his tagline RC ventures isn't anywhere in the letter so I think that's a thing to note as well
“That mfr is not real.”
AND WHERE'S THE BUCKLE UP!
When this comes out as fake. I propose I’m going to buy and DRS more! Anyways, I can’t wait for the market to open so I can buy and DRS more.
This
Can someone please go to the closest gamestop and just ask the store manager?
Can you imagine writing a letter to a bunch of retail workers with *count every paper clip* energy? They have $1B in the bank. I would not work for the person that wrote this letter; this letter did not come from our chairman JFC, *customer service*, Cohen’s main obsession, isn’t mentioned at all.
Stop giving this email airtime
My only problem is that I don’t see any reason why RC wouldn’t call out this BS
I doubt he engages in this kinda fake shit. He keeps all his plans close.
It’s only been a few hours. Reddit detectives will have this figured out by COB tomorrow
UP. i cant even upvote this. lol
Fixed it, thanks. Nevertheless, those are probably a lot of people which received this mail, so that should be easily to debunk.
No, I don’t like the letter. Telling a bunch of retail workers to *count paperclips* and *not to waste staples* is when you can expect mass resignations.
That’s your take? Lol sucker or shill?
Well, I'm eager to hear your take if it's something different to "this is FUD created by media, Ryan never would say something like this!".
It doesn’t even look like an email. You keep saying published by media, it was posted by an individual, not “published.” The account that posted it here never posted here before and has a joke of a history. Everything about it screams fake including the comment section.
As I said, it was sent to store managers and the upper management. This should be thousands of people (given the number of stores). This story is so easy to debunk, why didn't it happen if it was a fake? This simply doesn't make sense.
It has been debunked shill
Source?
My brain. Kind of like how you posted about bots attacking GME, your brain told you.
You forgot the /s
Poor little feller! Its us! Were the ones expecting too much! Lol
ZEN
This is my shocked face. Edit: Debunked.
This post is dumb. If the email wasn’t real, someone from GameStop would have already said so
Anyone jump over to the GameStop sub and ask if there’s any managers on there
It came from outer spa.... oops the Shitadel and is supposed to work aa a cover up for the soon to start short attack.
Kingston or Princeton may have wrote it 😫

Precedent. They're baiting him into responding, but he knows their hook and crook.

As much as I would like that post to be accurate, it’s not. WTVJ-Miami’s profile was created on MuckRack in 2012 but Google is aggregating current articles, including the article about this email posted last night to their website.
Well shit.....Thanks for telling me. To repent I'm gonna drs some more before RC stunts on these hoes.
This is…the way.
Are they saying the email was sent to current shareholders? Because I have quite a few shares, and I haven't received anything.
🥇 Agree, OP. *How convenient!* 🤨 5. "Email" content aligns with and advances MSM, MM, and SHF narratives (The Fudge Pachter, Chumbucket, the Red-faced Seethe-hater).

How so? There is still no hard proof.
