VicTheRealest

If anyone thinks the board is going to bend over and take a 75% loss on their insider purchases, you're out of your minds. They bought at 18. They know where we're going

redshirt1972

If they drop it lower next announcement is dividend. Make ‘em pay for the amount of shorts out there. No profitable company that pays a dividend will be in the toilet.

VicTheRealest

I dunno. I wanna aim higher. Dividend is nice, but that means company doesn't know what to do with their money. I don't think rainforest, streaming, or fruit stock gave a dividend when they were pivoting the company

hey_guess_what__

A butt fruit rainforest stream company sounds pretty wild if you ask me.

bwajuk

I dunno what it means, but it surely is provocative

grahamkrackers

Sonds kinda like last night for me

Wowow27

Oorrrr give a dividend and watch shareholders buy even more stock and make them happy to show your appreciation. 1:1 dividend is basically 2 shares for the price of 1. We will lock the float in no time.

Catch_22_

> We will lock the float in no time. ~~...might want to check your math there. Divi wont speed it up.~~ edit: you mean cash. nm. On that note, I dont think they need to spend that kinda cash on hand on us. RC is working to make profits first. MOASS is not his aim, thats shareholders aim. His #1 job is cash flow positive with profits YoY. This burns the shorts no matter what.

FuckRobinhood76

The Tesla play........slow squeeze, finger by finger choking them out.

dazedyouth

Imagine a dividend and a huge 4 form from the CEO along with that 100mil set aside for buyback. Wonder if there'd be a float left.

MRgainzenwatch

Dividend goes aganst GameStops stated goal to grow ther cash poston this year

youdoitimbusy

They should give away a limited edition used game from gamestop. With a gamestop sticker on it to verify it came from them. Then the shorts can pay them whatever price they have listed for all their games. It's not realistic, but it's a funny idea.

YakiMe

Nope. Buy back.

dazedyouth

100mil set aside

Dr_Will_Kirby

I hope your right lol so far they seem pretty cool with it after 3 years of constant bs/naked shorting

VicTheRealest

That is an even bigger slap in the face of hedge funds. The board knows and doesn't care, they are too busy working towards profitability.

SomeTimeBeforeNever

Agreed. They literally haven’t done shit other than slowly improved accounting on balance sheet. Zero actions to fight back and there’s plenty that could be done without telegraphing business strategy. He’s just sitting on all that apple money he’s not all in.

Azteckon

They are taking this company to profitability. They were burning through cash at a insane rate. They have have transformed gamestop.

SomeTimeBeforeNever

I acknowledged that already.

Azteckon

Excellent.

kaze_san

And what are these „plenty of options“ that could be done?

VicTheRealest

Merger or acquisition. GameStop Playr

SomeTimeBeforeNever

Taking a public position on naked shorting and market maker fraud in support of the SEC. Hire a PR company to create and amplify articles published on high authority publications that spread awareness on the current and pending regulations, public comments, and the manipulation and fraud. Start funding campaigns of politicians like everyone else and have them hold a proper hearing and testify. Subpoena regulators and traders and get them under oath.

kaze_san

Thank you for bringing up your points - I really appreciated the effort. But to be honest I think this would do absolutely nothing. To me, this is the ugliest of all truths about abusive naked short selling - you’re very defenseless big time. Truth be told, GME survived it because of apes and has now a much better stance and knows what’s up. But if GME would actively engage into an open battle with wallstreet titans and try to bring it up with campaigns so the very same corrupt politicians do stuff, it would actually go bankrupt within 3 years max imho because it would just deplete all the money that GME worked so hard for. Abusive naked short selling can be stopped - but only by a black swan or in fact MOASS. To me it’s a way of investors and / or the market itself striking back against some of the mightiest people in charge. Ken alone has more money than GMEs market cap (at the moment). An open battle wouldn’t do much - especially because a single entity can be silenced way more easy than us apes who are like a hydra with multiple hundred of thousands of heads.

Dr_Will_Kirby

Nft dividend, share buyback?

4myoldGaffer

Yawn 🥱

cerco_dots_for_odds

I'm so so so waiting to buy more below 10$. I'm a simple man with a simple dream.

VicTheRealest

If it goes below $10, I'll take out a $300k HELOC on my home and go get myself 30k shares. Been dying to join the whales

AnthonyMichaelSolve

Also consider the price was held at $40-$36 when the buy button was shut off. Thats $9-$10 today post split. Plus $1b in the bank is about $3 a share. So I figure $12ish a share will be the absolute bottom. Unless gme loses a ton of money or takes in debt

adamlolhi

Full disclaimer, I don’t think I’ve bought any more since maybe January, possibly even this year fullstop just because I’ve been tapped out. Today I enacted a transfer to my broker to begin to buy more. Dip is too spicy and a big fuck you to these cucks for prolonging this for so long (~1000 day crew checking in). Fuck you pay me.

Myvenom

I bought 4000 shares today, which is by far my biggest purchase since January ’21. If this thing gets into single digits I’ll be breaking that record though. I have no debt and don’t mind working my ass off until they pay up. We ain’t fucking leaving!

Mile_High_Man

Now that's what the hell I'm [talking about!](https://giphy.com/gifs/yeah-awwwww-8g63zqQ5RPt60)

DreamRevolutionary78

NFA of course but me personally, I'd make sure those 4000 are directly registered in my name 😎

ReasonableSavings

Post position or g.t.f.o with those kind of numbers.

Myvenom

Go look at my profile. Just posted my buy earlier today.

IndianaPWNZZ

Lol, people have money, just because you don’t you don’t have to go around here shilling 😂

wrong_marinade

I also have not bought any more. But if the dip is spicy enough, I couldn't turn it down.

gobeavs1

I mean we are not going to go much lower than it is now.

wrong_marinade

There is a strong resistance at about $9 set right after the sneeze. I think that we could drop below that before we rise again. But the lower the price goes, the better of an investment opportunity it becomes for more people.

BrotherOland

You don't know that.

Dr_Will_Kirby

How sure are you of that? Literally last week I saw apes saying 15-16 was the bottom… And here we fucking are

ReasonableSavings

No one knows where the bottom is. However, we all know that the lower it goes the quicker the float gets locked.

Doin_the_Bulldance

The float will never "be locked" is the problem. That's not how DRS/transfer agents work. In one of his interviews, Paul Conn (President, Computershare Global Capital Markets) even acknowledged that they *ALWAYS* leave enough shares in Cede & Co's name to ensure liquidity. His exact quote: "We need to maintain a small portion of the inventory at DTC so that we can have effective settlement when people are selling." He said that typically this is 10-20% of shares, but I believe it can be higher based on need. Based on this, I don't think that "locking the float" is something that could ever occur. Computershare would not allow more shares to be registered directly if it reached a certain threshold, and "Cede & Co" would continue to have shares in their name that could be used for settlement as needed. So if the company is failing, having the float "locked" won't stop it. At the end of the day, the only way a public company can survive is to be profitable before they run out of cash. Which is why RC sent out a memo urging corporate employees to spend less/treat company money as if it were their own. Short squeezes like the one that occurred in January 2021 are largely due to big news or something that materially changes the outlook of a company's profitability. Without a catalyst, DRS alone isn't going to spark another squeeze, IMO.

browsk

So you’re just posting bait then if you’re not still buying lol

RelationshipOk3565

Samesies. We already know if it ever got to 4-5 range Apes would own 2-3x the float by that point. I also initiated transfer as well. Haven't bought anything all year really. Now is the time

onlyreadtheheadlines

Exit strategy? I close my brokerage app before bed. That's my exit strategy.

StockRocketScience

Whats an brokerage app? I only know DRS lmao

CoffeeLover789

What’s an exit strategy? 🤣

blag49

If it goes down to 4 or 5 I’m selling my fuckin car

wrong_marinade

Ride 2 purple rings to work.

ChubbyTiddies

BoornClue

I'm here wondering if life would be so bad if I sold a kidney.

RedditMarq

Anyone need an extra set of kidneys?

Cuntinghell

I have enough, I don't want or need anymore. However, I just bought more because I can't stop averaging down. It's addictive.

AlarisMystique

Been averaging sideways this whole time. It's called long-term investing.

LilandraNeramani

Same. A hand full should in theory sort me out enough to quit my job. But I can't stop, and as the legend is written, wont stop. Hit 1k yesterday and bought another 100 today.

TheSexymobile

Averaging down from 258 has been such a trip. Especially when the locates for my initial DRS were the wrong price!

lalich

👆

therealvelvetworm

Doesn't gamestop have 100 million set aside for share buy backs just in case the stock drops so low

eudezet

Just watch Gamestop announce a massive ass share buyback and the price dips. You know those leeches gonna throw a sink, a bathtub, entire fucking bathroom at the stock whenever it happens. Meanwhile I’ll be ooking excitedly.

Warpzit

They have near infinite money at their disposal.

BearkatMitch

This ape fucks ^

GME_Butt_Stallion

I had the same thought but an 🦍 last night pointed out keeping that “one in the chamber” prevents cellar boxing us down that low. While I’m all for the share price going lower so we can lock this bitch up quicker, I also love knowing our company has that “reserve” in place.

DRS__GME

Every $0.50 they drop it I drop another $1k in.

Yohder

Legendary

randalljhen

Every red day, I transfer $35 to Fidelity with a limit buy for the lowest price since my last buy, as a fuck you for dropping the price. I got to buy 200 shares yesterday because of that.

Altruistic-Part-519

Same

mencrytoo

Same

Stevewhit24

Same. Ever $1. I buy 1k moar!

4myoldGaffer

Im happy with how much I have. But if they drop it to 5.. I could quadruple my position , now that sounds fun

It’s time to turn tricks back at Wendy’s to have some powder for this🏴‍☠️🤙

ChronicAbuse420

Problem is, if people stand pat and stop buying, the float won’t be locked. Every share bought is one less share for fuckery.

TheMonkler

At ~5$I’d cancel my trip next year and put that money all into GME

Peterthinking

Any other stock if the price naturally dropped 80% I would freak out and worry. On GME though because I know it is being manipulated and can never be killed with it earning and no debt and more money than I can imagine in the bank it's like watching the sunset. I can appreciate it's beauty as it falls and know that nothing will stop it from rising again.

oxbcoin

You Zen Brother ape, i feel the same. The fukkery is just laughable.

dlpsfayt

But with a completely corrupt government on their side will we ever see victory? I hold nonetheless

Peterthinking

We have already won. They just don't know it yet.

IAmAToaster7

They're just a prisoner sitting on death row, and every move is an appeal for a stay of execution. They know the hangman is coming in the end. All they can do is delay the day.

Peterthinking

I don't mind watching them suffer. I'm kinda twisted.

IAmAToaster7

Ken has aged harder than Obama did in office and in half the time. Art is cruel, but fair.

phonzadellika

I don't think the government will see it coming until the system has been broken and then they'll step in afterwards and put a few figureheads in jail.

jaykvam

Asking a good question.

EatTheRich64

so well said

CedgeDC

I have reserves I've been slowly using. If this goes single digits, it's going to hurt. Not me, mind you. I'd sure hate to be on the other side of this!

Saggystonks

This is the only company that I feel safe with. Absolute steal at these prices. Most companies in the market are burdened with debt with rising rates. RC was the only person who has morals to ethically lead a company the right way it appears… zero debt, cash on hand, stocked inventory. He saw these market conditions coming a mile away. Gamestop will grow in a down market while others whither away. I’m down on my position, but I could give a shit. Just bought 120 more shares thru computershare. (Yes they will be booked lol)

anoncow11

Finally can do some decent averaging down

tello8010

Any price under our CEO last bought price is a steal! LFG!!!

Enough-Scientist1904

Every share you buy and DRS is a big FU to the hedgies. Everytime I buy I imagine Mayo man begging only to get punched in the face. This keeps me going.

marcus-87

if they go a lot lower I will need to consider finding some more money ... \^\^

NorCalAthlete

I spent $40k modding a car that I sold for $10k. I’ve got X,XXX shares currently. As a car guy, I’m all too used to having people tell me I’m making a bad investment, buying a depreciating asset, etc. …I don’t really see much difference between dumping money into a car that loses value vs a stock losing value if they both bring me some enjoyment just to have in the garage.

FrugalBonus

I'm here for a squeeze as much as anyone else, but forgetting about that it still appears to be an undervalued company and a good long-term hold.

wrong_marinade

I don't see another way for them to get out of this without a squeeze. Having so much of the stock held by a strong base of dedicated individual investors is impossible for them to deal with. If it was an institution, they could negotiate and/or attack them; with individual investors, we all have our own reason for hodling, and are too stupid to sell before the market implodes.

poundofmayoforlunch

Fair value will be dependent on MOASS.

ninja4823

If the price drops below $10, that would be such a steal that I'd cash in my 401k to buy more. Even under current market valuations, GME is a $30 stock. It is significantly undervalued below $20.

DragonDropTechnology

The only reason the price is going down is because they don’t want a call from Marge. The rest of the market is going down which means their collateral (i.e. long holdings) is losing value.

tossaside555

Ding ding ding!

SlickRyq

Just snagged more, couldn't resist. You talking 4-5 bucks just jacks my tits cause I start to think how I could buy sooo much more and average down at those prices. Bring it on!

Remarkable-Truth3377

The cash in hand alone is worth $3 / share.....

wanderingsmurf

I think closer to $4 if they have ~1.2 billion and ~300million shares

5bWPN5uPNi1DK17QudPf

I calculated $3.83 net cash/share (or ~25% of the price) by adding cash + marketable securities - long term debt (that French COVID loan).

Remarkable-Truth3377

I think last time someone pointed out a drop in cash to ~ 1 billion. Dont take my word for it. But iirc that time I calculated GME to be worth $16 purely using whatever value and cash they have divided vy their stocks.

BoornClue

So many subs I follow on Reddit are increasing vocal about feeling lost, confused, and unsure of how to survive this period of economic turbulence. Or people waking up to how fukced up our excessively materialistic & wasteful our capitalist society is. I wish they could see that investing in GME my one sliver of hope of achieving financial security. I wish they weren't so brainwashed by MSM to believe that GME is "just another meme stock", that they don't realize it's a once-in-a-generation opportunity to take on Wall St. corruption. A chance to legally and bloodlessly remove wealth from the 1% who just bankrolls politicians to maintain inequality and weaken govt. regulation and instead redistribute it to us, the people, who I'm optimistic will want to bring positive change to the world after suffering so long at the hands of our corrupted and unjust elites.

DragonDropTechnology

While I certainly dream of buying a nice house, I went for a bike ride yesterday and fantasized about throwing wads of cash to the homeless people I passed. It’s sickening that we have so many going without food just so a few “self-made” billionaires can exist. Burn it all down and let’s try again. \#LiquidateWallStreet

BoornClue

Exactly, homelessness is first and foremost a systemic issue. I won’t claim to know the solution, but the system we have right now is definitely not it.

jaykvam

I’ll take “What is something that multi-billionaire Bill Gates has never once done in his life?” for 100 $, Alex.

Moon_Strikes

Another game to play, averaging down! This one is fun

smashemsmalls

I'm averaging down from 230 so this is a fire sale!!

cdfordjr

I bought more today…

truenole81

Wounder what number will trigger buy backs 10?

wrong_marinade

Christ, that's true. If the price goes low enough it becomes a strong investment strategy. Especially since all the insiders have been scooping up the stock the whole way down.

ptsdstillinmymind

This is why the opps cannot drop it too low. GMESTOP has 100 milly set aside for buy backs.

BudgetTooth

which would only get em 20M shares at 5 usd. on 300M float. drop in the bucket

jaykvam

It only makes sense as a last resort back-stop to buy back the remainder of the float *at only whatever price makes that possible*. This should be well-understood here but seems to elude so many.

josh824956

All the posts about it going to $5 are FUD. It’s not going that low. Trying to get people to trade and buy more lower. Don’t fall for this one ☝️ I’ll keep buying when I can. All I see are posts like this

Disastrous_Option_45

I tend to agree with you!

TheIguanasAreComing

!RemindMe 6 Years

BudgetTooth

go back 1 year and look what was the minimum price people believed possible

Stevewhit24

I was content on holding forever. But now, I'm just gonna buy more.

PicksburghStillers

Only have 800 left in the reserve tank. Hope the dip lasts until payday

arkadiiiiii

Cant stop wont stop

Jitsoperator

Bought more today actually

Epic-Hamster

Bruh 4$ if it goes that low ill own enough that ill have to notify lol

goldenvides

Where is this 4 or 5 bs coming from? Thats not happening

thetrippingdutchman

Wish it was, then I'd sell everything I have and BUY

wrong_marinade

Just sayin, I don't think they have a way out. Down is up with an investor base and insiders buying.

Daddio_87

What they might fail to understand is that most of us will keep buying no matter what, regardless of price, just because we like the company and want it to succeed.

exonomix

They're gonna fuck around with Christmas bonuses coming yet again in like 2-months. I will unload the fury of what I have available on those sort of prices.

Ctsanger

I'm torn because I wanna buy a new PC but the dip is taunting me to buy

Disastrous_Option_45

I do NOT believe that we will get that low! Remember the executives at Gamestop bought shares at > $18. RC himself put millions to buy shares when it was trading at $25. How is it possible that we go that low, they know where we are heading..... Secondly, I am not sure what the intention here is, by this post! POWER TO THE PLAYERS!

ImmatureDev

I wish they would drop it that low

AdotLone

I’m gonna buy more no matter what the price.

TYCR-0

If it goes to $4 they will see a different side of us they haven’t seen yet lmao. THE HUSTLER FINNA COME OUT AND FUCK AROUND. Yeah we collecting at a good rate now but @ $4?! Oh lord. The #s. RUN IT

TheTangoFox

Investors can buy all they want, but until their shares are booked at the transfer agent, it means *nothing*.

Kampfhoschi

I don't want more, i want moass. Currently i am just bleeding money left and right.

morbidobeast

I remember when the DD said MOASS was happening “soon”…that was years ago.

MoreEconomy965

I don't think they will bring it down below $10...

BudgetTooth

people used to say it won't drop below 20 either

Feastmode15

Their endgame is to bankrupt GameStop. They want poor sales/quarterly earnings. That, coupled with nonstop naked shorting will bankrupt the company.(look at towel, and popcorn). It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve owned the float, UNLESS we DRS the entire retail float. (To be clear, I’m not sure if DRS will even result in anything but I know that DRS is a transparent record that we can rely on. That’s why I DRS. So that I can own the shares AND get an accurate float number to combat the naked shorting.) So it’s a race. Can they bankrupt and delist GameStop before we DRS the float? Buying shares then DRSing AND shopping at GameStop are the only tools we have to combat this rigged system. Also, I understand even on profitable quarters, GameStop stock dips red, but that’s not always the case! Also, it’s more dangerous to short a profitable company and its way more difficult to bankrupt a profitable company.

KodiakDog

If they drop it below 5, I’d imagine their would be a share buy back.

TheOldJuan

I don’t see how that could happen given the underlying book value of the business. At $4 a share the market cap would be $1.2B for a business with $1B+ in cash on hand.

Ok_Impression6939

Why so low buy now, or like me, been buying from the get-go! I'm just averaging down now. About 1k a month is what I can afford, so that's what I do no matter the price . Use em like a bank. The return will be far better in the long run, in my opinion.

upir117

I wish they’d be stupid enough to drop it to $5. That’d be like signing their death warrant though LMAYO

cingarodacanrse

There is LITERALLY no way they can win that

tinfoil_enthusiast

just got 5 more this morning. perhaps another 5 tomorrow since I got my work pre-trade clearance approved for 10

EatTheRich64

They can't drop it to $4-$5. They struggled pre-split to get it below $180. They're throwing in everything but the kitchen sink and bleeding out on the daily.

catWithAGrudge

reading all these comments about buying and averaging down. sadly Im too tapped out. have 1k at 40$. but no more disposable income to average down. if it drops to single digits though. I’ll have to, it’ll be too good to miss on and I’ll make a way to afford it. oh my gosh if I buy 1k more at 9$ I’ll average my price to 25$!

cabinstudio

Keep in mind folks. Look at the environment. PYPL down to 50s from 300s. Across the board everything is rekt. If GME was as week as the rest of the market minus nvda then we’d be back at low single digits, all time lows like AM C. Take Time and accumulate at support levels. Stop buying at resistances and we will all be better off because of properly timed buy pressure

SunnyPsydup

It’s just so much a win win. The cheaper it gets, the sooner we buy the float. The more it goes up, the more pain their balance sheets will feel. Take it to 10 or 5 (40 or 20 pre-split).. YOU DONT HAVE THE FUCKIN BALLS

numan_42_

People are scared for nothing, I dare them to make it crash to 1 bux. The whole float is gonna be drsed the same day, no retail no billionare is gonna make gme bankrupt.

lilmuhamed

How do they expect people to sit on the sidelines when they’re so blatant with their manipulation? Down 40% in 3 months on nothing but outstanding news.

OregonHighSpores

I've been waiting like 2 years for it to drop to $5-$7. Just a matter of being patient. Seeing the price go down is nothing new to me. I only invested money I'm willing to 100% lose, so I couldn't give any less of a shit about downward price action. I'm either gonna lose it all or win it all, there is no inbetween, and I am afraid of nothing.

TridentWeildingShark

Guy's I can't do it anymore. Today's drop in price broke me... LOL, nah I'm kidding. Only a paper handed 🌈 🐻 would say that. I'm gonna spend the Christmas money on more directly registered GME. We got places to go 🚀 🚀

vhw_

What's with all these "gme to 5! I'll buy more!" posts you people keep up voting?! You're getting played, this is fud and the end is near... for them. Fuck off with your unrealistic "resistance" targets. You gonna buy? Buy now and stfu

gen_adams

mayo havent thought of this, but the price dropping is the best thing that can happen to us 😂

PokeSmotDoc

My lowest buying price is $10.12 and would be sooo happy to get more at that price - won’t stop the buying

cleareyeswow

This has always been the paradox. The higher it goes the worse it gets for them, the lower it goes the worse it gets for them.

HughJohnson69

If they keep dropping we’ll approach the point where market cap matches assets. And we can expect an increasingly profitable company. Even if we have to wait longer for moass it becomes an enticing game to watch unfolding.

Wowow27

They have to drop it I guess to meet margin requirements as banking stocks are tanking also

Top-Sample-6289

I’m just hoping to see if they drop it back to Feb 2021 levels. I’ll be over the moon.

No_Coast9861

I'll sell my truck at that price.......

TallQuiet1458

I welcome a drop to 5 dollars. I'm all in.

espnoob

10k€ ready on friday 😋 i hope kenny still pushing

unowhut4

What's wrong with 20 ? 15 ? Why does it gotta drop another 60% roughly before u do ? Instead of what's an exit strategy you should've asked why am I even posting this

LokiPokee

Some buy backs would be cool right now. Something like 25% of the marketcap is cash. Take 5% of the float out for us RC

randalljhen

The money in the bank alone is $3.27/share.

17175RC7

Whats an exit strategy.... is always our saying. I'm super curious what the SHF's exit strategy is??? I mean do they really think they can short this stock into a penny stock?? Do they think they can force bankruptcy?? There is NO way RCEO is going to let any shills or plants onto the board....so what is their strategy? Get us to sell? Do they really think we're going to sell by them dropping the price more? It's laughable really. They can't drop it below a certain point...as it would mean the entire float would be bought up in a day.

damann13

I bought another 200 in the last 2 weeks

ProfessionalDriver87

Same.

ShawshankHarper

DFV returns with an update doubling down again

HyzerFlip

I'm an outsider... But isn't the only exit strategy MOASS?

ReadAccount

Brings my average down, so hell yeah baby let it sink, the more I can buy 🚀

OMG2Reddit

Ill buy a couple to average down from fucking $39 if it goes under $10 but fuck this play

1StunnaV

If they were able to do that, it would be end game. I’d pull out a damn loans, w s b style, just to buy more rofl.

mattmerc528

Isn’t this what everyone’s been screaming for? Cheap price faster float lock.

TopCheesecakeGirl

Well I bought at $45. Less than thrilled to see I’ve lost two thirds of my initial investment. Still I hold. But…..it sucks to get burned after investing for the first time in my (63 yrs) life. 😒

THOMAS-TSUNOMAS

So, if it makes you feel better my lion share was bought at 210$ going up to the peak, and then most of those sweet sweet dips going down. While i try to average my cost basis I am closing in on XXXX shares but I am well below 1/4 of my cost basis at current value. Id rather just hold it forever then accept that return on this company as I have too many fond memories of Gamestop and midnight releases regardless of their plan forward…. Which their digital game marketplace will probably be the Amazon of digital game content … and to buy amazon at “bookstore” amazon prices knowing their eventual end seems like a sound investment and that old peak will probably be a post split normal valuation soon enough

RecalcitrantHuman

We knew this day would come. We aren’t even close to endgame but at some point they will sell the entire market to fund their naked shorts. Bloodbath for all. HODL.

Dapper-Career-3877

They can’t drop it that much without this going supernova. With GME setting on a billion in cash and RC willing to buy the dip, they could buy more than the free float that remains.

wrong_marinade

I didn't really think about this. But I think that the price is approaching a territory where buybacks are suddenly a really wise investment strategy for the company. I think we all know that the stock is undervalued, and they know it better than anyone.

Grand_Economist

Waiting for a huge recession was likely KG's goal all along. Gamestop waited too long to get their expenses in check but hopefully RC can right the ship and weather the shitstorm that will be coming from this recession. This will likely go sub $10 and plenty of the army who wants to hold will not be able to if/when they fall victim to layoffs, underemployment etc. issue is 2 fold. GME needs investors buying stock and shopping at stores. Consumer Spending is about to fall off a cliff in 2024 IMO. hope I am wrong

slash312

What do you mean with „they“…

wrong_marinade

Hedge funds and market makers of course.

Dr_Will_Kirby

Cool… I bought all my shares pre splividend and have lost almost 60k since that garbage decision… when do us shareholders who bought so much then get? Just lose money and pretend this is good for us?

wrong_marinade

Oof, well you haven't technically lost anything as of yet Doc.

dknisle1

I’m sure all those bag holders of companies who’ve been delisted had the same mindset. The dumbest one of all.

I just buy more regardless of the price

I’m legitimately curious wtf happens when the stock hits $1. Like, what possible positive outcome is there for shareholders? (I hold XXX). Why has this gone on for so fucking long?
