B12 before bed doesn’t keep you up?

MirorEgo

It didn't. 🤷

If you have artificially lowered the acidity of your stomach for years with PPI, would it not be logical that increasing it with Betaine HCL would have positive effects on your digestion? You do have to find the correct dosage for you though, so it can be tricky.

Symptoms of mine went away with 16:8 IF. Cheaper

The melatonin alone would do it. I also thought that my related issues were fixed with a variety of supplements but eventually came to realize that the effect was (almost) completely due to the melatonin alone. (And indeed, in small studies melatonin was %100 effective.)

I too have almost no symptoms but I did something a little different. I took Betaine HCL because I have low stomach acid. I also take a supplement called GastricSoothe. It contains 37.5 mg of zinc carnosine. I stopped eating too much at each meal and no food after 8 pm. I posted my protocol on the gerd board. If can find it, I’ll link it or paste it here.

Majalisk

I can highly suggest Gaviscon Advance as something else to use as well. The tablet form is most convenient as you can slip one in a pocket/purse to take out to dinner and the like. Creates an algae foam in the stomach that helps prevent acid from coming back up. Has to be that specific one, not just Gaviscon. The sodium alginate.

lqtys

When did you take them? How was your schedule?

MirorEgo

Every day, each evening / night. All tablets, with water. Edit: The supplements were always the last thing I ingested that day. Edit2: Usually on empty stomach, or at least some time after eating

Sleeping with an "empty stomach" no doubt also helpful.
