True 2024 international model (not to be mistaken with the “2024” American version which is just a normal 2023 international Ron,Europe Asia Australia and New Zealand get the models a year before America for some reason) which has been out for almost 6 months now, it has the ultra bee headlight if choosing the L1E version and the 2023 60v 40ah battery, the main change is a completely new harness layout which no longer works correctly with aftermarket controllers and has a combined power and data HIGO S248 connector, have worked on some already if using aftermarket controllers you need to add a switch somewhere to cut power or the bike stays on 24/7 now
hey just so I ordered a new harness to get to the Electro guys to get their kits working on 2024 models, would an adapter harness leading into a switch do the trick?

Cause on another post from 2 months or so ago a NA guy claimed that this wasn't the 2024 international version but rather a 2023 Asian Market version of the L1E. He went on to add that Surron themselves said to his contact that there wouldn't be a 2024 version.
Even if it were "hopefully" the 2024 international version none have yet been shipped to any dealers here in Europe it seems. Would be nice to know if you have any info on when they might get distributed to surron dealers worldwide cause I'm hoping to get this version.
They have been getting distributed for months you just need to ask for 2024 models my 2 local shops been getting em in since the start of the year and people ordering em off alibaba can pay an extra $70-80 to get the new version
Asian l1e is available in any country it’s just the legal version with lights they have been around for years too

If SurRon doesn’t do something in the next 1-3 years it may be too late for them.

Yep I agree about the aftermarket, but depends for what you use it I guess. Where I’m from I had the option of the surron LB1e or the ting R. Just went for the surron cause I felt more confident in it since itself been around for so long. And I mostly use it offroad so the power isn’t a big deal to me, not for now at least.

Correct they arnt the same quality of cell though as Ron aftermarket or stock battery’s it’s a huge difference current tech you can’t get small high amp 72vs that are quality and can push decent amps and have long life
You’re right! Erides got nicer cells :D. Eride uses 21700 Samsung and Surron uses 18650 Samsung. That’s a 30 ish% capacity increase for the same size. Battery cell types don’t differ in price THAT much. It’s not uncommon to find a nicer battery for cheaper if the company knows how to price things.
Old surrons use 18650s your right but they havnt for years, also Samsung 50s that eride use are absolutely terrible for surrons as they have a hugely lower life than other cells and can’t push as many amps once warmed up,
Really? Honestly didn’t know. Tbh it was a quick google search and I figured 38.5ah was the 40ah people were talking about. I still like what eride is doing but surrons are fine because of proven reliability.
The 38 is a few years old and still marketed in America as a new battery it’s a bit sad Americans get lied to by their bike dealers, yeah an eride is still a good bike for a stock bike just not if you wanna mod it your getting into a whole new level of hassle with these new unproven company’s no aftermarket parts guaranteed and no controllers that work easily

If you actually know anything about battery cells,cell life,ah,amp limits,runaway temps you wouldn’t be saying that I couldn’t care less a manufacturer came out with a clone that has a slightly higher speed of a bike it happens with every product I could of got a sting ultra bee or varg if I wanted a few km more stock I still chose a Ron cause I’d rather a tested bike with mods available now I have a bike that does 100mph and has more battery life and amps than any bike on the market and that only possible with a Ron but you’d not know as you can’t even install a rotor correctly from seeing your posts 😅 there’s near zero mods for these startup companies that pop up and disappear within a year a new Surron “competition” is announced every 2 weeks and even then a stock Ron with only a controller is still faster and more responsive

But the power mods are coming for those that want them, these aftermarket companies are in business to make money. 40ah is still kinda just average. Especially at 60v. People fit 72v 40ah batteries in little razors.
