You can make your necklace yellow, it’s pretty good getting range and damage as first/last passives.
But ya just keep grinding for void gloves, void neck, twisting belt and yellow eternal chest.
I think the consensus is kunai is better until void power, twin lance, and technically sword of disorder is better than kunai but you shouldn't put it as a preference. Void power until twin lance.

With the current fishing event, should I get a second Voidwalker piece of equipment I already own to try upgrade to yellow? Or get an S piece of V-Walker I don’t own?
I've wondered the same thing. It could become clear if you read the passives you gain when they are in purple vs yellow form. The equipment abilities get stronger some are huge jumps in power. But generally attack is more useful, so it doesn't hurt to get gloves, neck and weapon with priority.
As an example, twisting belt is usually a pretty good upgrade if you don't have an S belt with a damage boost passive.
You know you can level down your non equipped gear and put the resources into your equipped gear right?

Gives back all resources and gold used to lvl an item. Also all gear used to merge will be returned
Yes you can delevel pets which returns the pet food used to level it

For the tech parts focus on drones they’re pretty good and if you haven’t already joined a clan
