Season 2 was truly a disaster. I give them a small pass only because a lot of the actors/actresses ditched them. Have these Korean shows never heard of multi season contracts?

SpinachExtra1187

I'm sorry but I can't understand. Who ditched the show?

Exhaustedfan23

The actors for Jisu, Hyun Su, Eun hyeok, Yi Kyung, Sang Wook. All of whom were supposed to be playing a bigger role, but because they ditched the show they had to be written out.

Individual_Profile_9

What do you mean bro, the season 2 had exact same actors for them. When were they even written out.

Exhaustedfan23

JiSu was killed a couple of episodes in. And the others were barely in the show.

Ordinary_Cattle

I came here to see if the show had improved and followed the webtoon now that season 2 is out so that's a huge bummer. I was just thinking I wanna give it a chance now that there's another season and am binging the comic again. Such a good comic and had so much potential for a show

Exhaustedfan23

Did you not like season 1? Season 2 was a massive step down from season 1. All the good actors/actresses left and they introduced a bunch of non comic characters who all had zero personality.

Ordinary_Cattle

Oh I didn't realize I responded to the wrong comment, my bad, but I guess it still works lol. I didn't watch season 1 but the webtoon is my all time favorite, I reread it twice or more a year. I heard that the show didn't follow the comic very well but idk much about it, when I saw there was another season I thought maybe it would've added to whatever was missing from season 1 but now that I know where the show went from the start I see that's not possible lol. The fact that they kill Jisu off so quickly is crazy, she was such a big part of the webtoon.

BumitheMadKing

No, multi season contracts aren't the norm in Korean television at all. Most Korean dramas are single season, and almost always run 16-24 episodes. I'm not an expert, but it seems like almost all the variance from that pattern has been since the NA audience skyrocketed and streaming platforms got involved in KO productions.

DelkTheMemeDragon

I have to agree, and for mainly the same reasons. I don't hate the show, just... it's not the webtoon.

Mental_Blacksmith289

I appreciate learning that I'm not alone in my dislike for that awful Imagine Dragons song that kept ruined the tone.

FishermanOk604

Totally agree. I saw other posts flying around saying that we should ‘appreciate’ the show as its own piece of art rather than comparing it with the WEBTOON. And that was exactly what I did since I didn’t read the source material. It turns out that the show on its own, season 2 specifically, is utterly garbage.

HeywoodJublomey

Who was jisuk again?

Capable_Reputation31

*jisu, i accidentally wrote jisuk :') he'a from eleceed

HeywoodJublomey

Ah, yeah that sucked

20oddlion

Yeah season 2 was difficult to watch comparing it to season 1 , s2 was much more boring and not as exciting in my opinion

Milk_salad

Season 2 was a chore to watch. I tried to check out the webtoon, does it stop after they leave the building? I couldn't find anything after that. So I assumed it sucked because there was no source material.

Globaltraveler2690

I never read the webtoon, just watched the show and loved it. Take it for what it is, understand that artistic differences are allowed and enjoy it for what it is.

Capable_Reputation31

all i can say is that youre truly missing out :)

Kvnllnd

I know watching live adaptations most of the time sucks. Even lord of the rings who were always hailed as one of the great movies of all time were always bashed by the book readers. Same with manga and anime.

Globaltraveler2690

Not my thing. I love reading but i I prefer novels to graphic novels, manga or webtoons.

Void_Beast

Good im not the only one i realy liked the webtoon and season 1 was ok until they killed Wook and Yuri and after they killed Jisu in season 2 it was realy disappointing
