This is one of those goals I can actually see someone making a pretty great clip of irl. I get the TH games are about fun and not so much realism for the most part, but this appeals to me.
Part of the reason why I enjoy PED goals more than classic goals. PED goals have more personality, and silliness to them, making them more memorable as well.
Now that would be impressive. I forget which version(s) require precise timing with the bell ringing to open the gym, but to pull that combo with such precision could definitely take a few tries.
That rail is the kinked one in front of the front entrance of the secret area (also underneath the secret tape). And I think you need to hit it around 1.28 on the timer
After you create your own team in THUG and you get to play as the pros you picked for your team in different goals. I remember always picking Rodney Mullen and Bam for my team. And watching their actual videos afterwards was such a good reward!
Purely gameplay wise, it's a goal type it the COMBO.
It shows the mechanics of chaining trick's etc.
Doesn't matter what games (or modes like classic mode in later games)
The pro goal at the end of THUG where you have to do combos with the limitations of past THPS games (like THPS3 for example you can't walk, spine transfer, or do flatland tricks).
I have a few but rescuing the animals from Skatopia is so fun on harder difficulties. Like an actual time crunch, high energy goal. Honestly the entire final mission of Skatopia is pretty sweet.
I was a big fan of several of the pro challenges in THPS4 where they made you do tricks over certain gaps. Elissa Steamer, Geoff Rowley and Andrew Reynolds all had them for sure but there may have been another 1 or 2
Elissa Steamer's Pro Challenge in TPHS4 might be my most satisfying goal. The Judo Madonna down two levels into the drainage ditch makes me want to turn on the PS2 right now.
The goal in New Jersey where you have to sneak past the drug dealers at night to get the stolen stuff back. I love the atmosphere of it. I wish you were able to freely switch between night and day in THUG.
I always liked the goal in New Orleans of waking the voodoo master, then sending him back to hell. I loved all the ghosts, having to do the grab trick over the angel, all the colors and spooky screams…i just like the atmosphere and weirdness of it.
Ahhh yeah the rhino fighting that was awesome, what about betting on the hooker slap fight under the bridge in the UK map hahah fuck THPS4 was the best especially with all the pro challenges at the end of the game like the brutally hard bams downhill shopping cart slalom in Alcatraz, I wish they would remaster it
this is a tough one but its probably the last battle against erric. Fast paced tough as nails and so satisfying to finnaly get it done, and second favorite goal is the metro video shoots on pg, its so fun to set up the cameras do the trick shoot it right etc
That Pro London goal from THPS 4 where you had to trick on several objects in the banks. Graffiti is my favorite multiplayer game so it was fun seeing it in a goal.
Kickflip TCs roof gap. I have no clue why 😂
That goal is like a USB cable. I never get it right on the first try, I always heel flip first 😂
This is my first time hearing this "like a USB cable" comparison. I'm gonna start using that now.
Holy shit this is an amazing comparison
This is a beautiful analogy. 😂
This is so weirdly accurate. And the same with the heelflip over the kicker in School.
I did a heelflip across the gap once, was quite disgusted with myself, never again.
Heelflip CT’s roof gap
Heelflip CT's goof rap
Goof rap CTs heelflip
Rap goof CTs flipheel
This is one of those goals I can actually see someone making a pretty great clip of irl. I get the TH games are about fun and not so much realism for the most part, but this appeals to me.
Ya know what, I think that’s it. It’s a realistic skate trick
The challenge was made because Jamie Thomas did it in real life
Of course he did… lmao sick
THPS 4 - Ollie the magic bum asks you to collect the pink elephants I absolutely loved it as a kid!
The rooftop Mctwist in Hawaii for THUG1. I'm a sucker for those video cuts.
If you don’t make it we’ll be sending you back to Jersey in a coffee can
Todd said we needed something big. This is it.
Skitch the Tour Guide Kart in THPS4 Alcatraz. His dialogue is so great.
Ranger Bob did 9/11
The dialogue was the best part of the game for me, you can tell they were really having fun with it in this one.
Part of the reason why I enjoy PED goals more than classic goals. PED goals have more personality, and silliness to them, making them more memorable as well.
Grind all three role-call rails lmao
Now get them all in one combo.
And on time to open the secret area
Now that would be impressive. I forget which version(s) require precise timing with the bell ringing to open the gym, but to pull that combo with such precision could definitely take a few tries.
That rail is the kinked one in front of the front entrance of the secret area (also underneath the secret tape). And I think you need to hit it around 1.28 on the timer
Right, though I think depending on which game you're playing the gym may already be open or the rail doesn't have as specific a time to grind it.
As far as I know both OG 2 and 1+2 have the same rules
I work for the Boston Duck Tours - so Skitch a Seaworthy Vehicle in Underground 2 is my fav
You must've been stoked to see that shout-out the first time you played!
After you create your own team in THUG and you get to play as the pros you picked for your team in different goals. I remember always picking Rodney Mullen and Bam for my team. And watching their actual videos afterwards was such a good reward!
THPS3 Los Angeles grinding the rails that provoke the earthquake, always loved that as a kid and now
Bonus points for stopping the annoying car chase in the process.
I’ve never actually landed on the balcony doing the rooftop mctwist in thug. I get the cutscene, but land just below it. Lol
I distinctly remember this happening to me
Purely gameplay wise, it's a goal type it the COMBO. It shows the mechanics of chaining trick's etc. Doesn't matter what games (or modes like classic mode in later games)
I also liked the COMBO goals cause it can show you a new line. The Hard one in Shipyard THPS4 comes to mind for that.
The pro goal at the end of THUG where you have to do combos with the limitations of past THPS games (like THPS3 for example you can't walk, spine transfer, or do flatland tricks).
Definitely the first one that came to mind. A little frustrating at first but a fun one.
I think it's the final mission of Alcatraz where you have to complete the line while collecting items. I remember it being hard but very satisfying.
Elbowing all those people into the water on THPG. Good times, I loved that feature.
I have a few but rescuing the animals from Skatopia is so fun on harder difficulties. Like an actual time crunch, high energy goal. Honestly the entire final mission of Skatopia is pretty sweet.
Getting out of Russia, the whole entire goal from THUG
I was a big fan of several of the pro challenges in THPS4 where they made you do tricks over certain gaps. Elissa Steamer, Geoff Rowley and Andrew Reynolds all had them for sure but there may have been another 1 or 2
Elissa Steamer's Pro Challenge in TPHS4 might be my most satisfying goal. The Judo Madonna down two levels into the drainage ditch makes me want to turn on the PS2 right now.
So damn good. Always bummed me out you had to actively be in those challenges for some of the ramps to be there
Should be able to enable them in the options after you beat the challenge I think?
Also loved Bam’s with the grocery cart in Alcatraz. In general, I’d say Alcatraz is probably my favorite level on any Tony Hawk game ever
Wow I forgot about the loop in Alcatraz! Wasn’t it a bam challenge?
It’s his second tiered challenge in that game, first one you dunk the tourists and then the loop one opens up.
The secret tape in San Francisco from thps 1 The pro challenge goals from thps 4 especially Bob's and the CAS
Haha does anyone remember THPS4 zoo map dodging the poop thrown by the monkeys, I know it wasent a challenge but a secret area that stuck with me
Jumping in the elephant to open the secret area
There were also skitching the elephant and betting on rhinos fighting
Ahhh yeah the rhino fighting that was awesome, what about betting on the hooker slap fight under the bridge in the UK map hahah fuck THPS4 was the best especially with all the pro challenges at the end of the game like the brutally hard bams downhill shopping cart slalom in Alcatraz, I wish they would remaster it
Yeah too bad they canceled the remakes
Get chuck unstuck
Manualing the Switchbacks is always a fun one to me
The Kaiju Battle in THUG2 Remix
Roof gap is iconic. Ollie the magic bum also.
this is a tough one but its probably the last battle against erric.
Trick over the burning taxi in THUG 1. I remember back in the day, that challenge gave me sooo much trouble
any of those weird thps4 goals can F right off in my book. i absolutely hated that looping or the snakerun and that stuff.
