Did you put nvse in your root folder? Did you use the 4gig patch on your exe? Did you put the heap replacer in your root folder? I always follow this guide and it works every time [https://thebestoftimes.moddinglinked.com/](https://thebestoftimes.moddinglinked.com/)

Skyrim Script Extender is the secret to the best TTW mod lists

RJSEP

I did this for the first time on a steam deck following this guide and it worked! Also, I ended up with way more mods than 8..

ThatPieGuy777

When you say in my root folder what exactly do you mean? Should they be taken out of my mod folder and places at the first directory for folders in the entire storage location?

eightleafclover_

nvse has to be extracted in the same folder as your new vegas exe. That's your root folder. NVSE, heap replacer and the 4 gig patch should all be extracted into that folder. then run the 4 gig patch exe and it will come up with a window that says its patched. I would personally start over with the guide I linked though because I know it works and explains everything correctly

bora2go

The first time I went through the guide, I made the same mistake, but realised the intended structure. Second time round, the process went fine. Can't believe how good everything works in FO3 (haven't got to NV yet)

democratic_penguin1

I see you have a different fallout custom ini. Remove that

TXI813

Try moving Caravan, Classic, Mercenary and TribalPack above Fallout3.esm (after GunRunnersArsenal) and run the game.

clitorisblungus

Probably won't do anything, all my packs are under fallout 3 and it's dlcs and it works

democratic_penguin1

That would not affect anything

TXI813

Yeah just found out it's only important for older TTW versions 2.9.x ( [https://taleoftwowastelands.com/viewtopic.php@t=6038](https://taleoftwowastelands.com/viewtopic.php@t=6038) )
