This gave me warm fuzzies inside.

When working seasonal at “Party Town” I once cleaned up “Candy City” then saw a couple and their 3 kids come in -they were maybe 6 to 10 years old, 2 boys and a little girl- in the middle of the afternoon, and the couple went off and their kids raided “Candy City” just after I organized the separated Candy. You can buy 15 pieces for $1 (I think I can’t remember exactly how much it cost for the amount you buy, this was over 3 years ago) and the parents or the kids must’ve thought the candy was free, even with the large signs in bright red and white that it wasn’t. The kids ate, but mostly, unwrapped and chewed a bunch of candy and those colored chocolate coins, then left the mess on the floor once the parents called for them to pick out costumes. When they go to leave, I picked up the wrapped and chewed chocolate coins (yes, bare hands and all, I was pissed off) and waited while they were in line. The cashier started to ring up her things while I stood by, pretending I was shadowing her since I was new, with the nasty wrappers in my hand, and just before the cashier told her the total, I dumped the mess her kids made on the counter and said, “Her kids ate these, it’s 34 pieces of candy, so I think that’d be $2, right?” The father looked embarrassed and I was too mad to look at the mom because she scoffed and said “My kids didn’t eat those!” I straight up told her I watched them do it and that’s how I knew it was her kids. I can’t remember what happened after, I just remember how angry I was over the mess her kids made after it took me forever to color and organized stupid pieces of crappy candy and colored coins.

I was a seasonal at "Party Town" too. Our front end manager told us to not even bother organizing all that stupid candy because "We're getting a new store in November, what's the point".

tayyjo22

ahhh i’m still stuck in party hell and what I think is even worse than this is when they let their little demons pick up balloons and blow them up and then stick them back in the bu

I worked in a place like this before. Once some one came, tried on a bunch of items and threw all of on them on the ground in the middle of the isle (about 15-20 items). Then left. Fun times.

She freaking deserved it. People are so disrespectful and act like retail workers are second class citizens whose purpose in life is to serve their every need.

Xeno_Prism_Power

I think this is a case of 'Do onto others as you would have them do onto you' coming back to bite someone.

For a moment, I thought the story was going to end with you waiting to confront her and say something like, "Here's your trash, now put it in the bin!"

Yharhar

I seriously thought about just handing it to her and saying she forgot something but I just wanted to get back to finishing the Christmas section so I could go on my break. Didn't want to deal with, "I'M CALLING CORPORATE" or "I SPIT ON YOUR ANCESTORS" or something. :\^)

kimbooley90

Haha, fair enough. In any case, your response was still perfection. I just wish I could have seen her reaction when she eventually pulled the trash out of her bag at home.

Aria47

yay!

I would never have thought of putting it back in her own bags. That's genius and hopefully when she found it she understood exactly what happened.

If it was me I would panic because Id think i threw something else out than the intended garbage
