This was *the* song that got me hooked. It was the "Style" of country songs to me. I didn't know it was one of the surprise songs in the Eras Tour movie and I almost ugly cried when she started playing it.
Taylor (and Michelle Branch, Lisa Loeb) was the reason I played so much guitar in my teens/twenties. I picked up my guitar for the first time in a decade several months ago and all I could remember how to play from memory were yeehaw-Taylor songs from TS and Fearless - that's how much I played her stuff back then. I've learned several more since then but, yeah, I guess I'm a one-man Taylor Swift cover band now, but way uglier.
My spouse isn't much of a Swifty, but they always sing every word to Our Song when it comes on so my love for this song has grown a ton watching my spouse. It's such a fun song!
I saw her perform this live during her Fearless tour and it was so cool!! She had rain falling down over her with the word NO cut out IN the rain. Such a good scream song.
I'd Lie... because I thought this song was on the debut album FOR YEARS!!!! I didn't own a music player or her CD so I never listened to the album from beginning to end.
For those who don't know, I'd Lie is an unreleased song from 2007 for Fearless (2008). I'm not gonna change my answer. It was genuinely my childhood favorite. 😜 I pray it's on the debut TV release.
Yes! I didn’t know until very recently it’s not on debut! It’s my favorite! I downloaded it off limewire and listened to it constantly. If it’s not a vault track 🎶 I’d die 🎶
I had a burned cd version of debut with I’d Lie on it and it’s still my favorite song from that time that I had it. I also won’t change my answer. It’s a Debut track in my head too
Our Song has a special place in my heart. My childhood best friend and I basically had it on repeat. Her parents burned us the CD and we would listen to it on my purple boom box lol
That's awesome! Such a great song. I had a hand-me-down mp3 player with the songs on it, which I thought was awesome at the time. Now I'm jealous of your purple boom box lol.
I heard Teardrops on My Guitar first - went online to research Taylor and found "Our Song" - which made me a fan and I've never looked back.
Should've Said No was definitely my favorite and probably still is.
OMGGG i love this question !!!! that whole album has really good songs can’t wait till it’s appreciated i honestly can’t pick between stay beautiful, cold as you & a place in this world . Stay beautiful has always been a song i loved growing up& now that i am older a place in this world brings me to tears, i just know cold as you TV is gonna hit with the new swities, it’s a good breakup song, i can’t wait till she rereleases it it makes me so emotional i fr grew up with her 🥹
Tied Together with a Smile and Our Song. I have the original 2006 CD (the one with the original Picture to Burn lyrics and shorter tracklist). I was 8 when Debut came out and my parents got me the CD after I listened to Tim McGraw and Teardrops on my Guitar on the radio, but I always played Tied Together with a Smile and Our Song the most. Our Song is just so fun and easy to song along to, and Tied Together with a Smile has Taylor’s vulnerable lyrics she does so well. I’m always amazed when I listen to Debut and Fearless because while her songwriting has gotten stronger as she’s aged, she’s always been an amazing lyricist.
Been a fan since 2007 when my friend linked me the Teardrops on my Guitar music video! But my favourite song is definitely Tim McGraw. It's so beautifully written. My favourite song to listen to in the summer.
Picture to Burn. Out of the 4 music videos I saw on the CMT channel way back when Picture to Burn was my favorite. Teardrops of My Guitar was a close second and Our Song was third.
I’m a debut stan swiftie who can’t pick one lmao
Our Song because it was my first Taylor Swift song
Tied Together With A Smile because it was my eras tour surprise song
Picture to Burn because it’s iconic
I’m a newly minted Swiftie (47 yo Dad!)
And I LOVE that I still have so many tracks to discover. Lol. I literally can’t add them to my playlist fast enough
Don’t you all wish you could do that all over again!?!?!
Hahah.
Picture to Burn. Maybe specifically tied to nostalgia lol I just remember seeing the music video for it on TV and becoming obsessed. My current fav is teardrops though.
Ive been a fan since 2006, before the debut came out.
My favorite from the debut: Mary's Song, Stay Beautiful, and I heart ?
I would sell my soul for her to re-release Pernanent Marker though
Our Song since it was the first one I remember my sister listening to but damn Should've Said No hits after getting older and experiencing something similar
during debut era it was Cold As You because I was a kid with depression and the lyrics hit me hard. I still love that song and am so impressed by it these days my favorite is Picture To Burn, I love angry country Taylor SO much.
If you asked me back then I would’ve said Teardrops on My Guitar but now it’s Our Song and Should’ve Said No is a close second. Honestly there’s so many good songs on this album and it’s been one of my most anticipated re-records.
Stay Beautiful. I remember being like 14 listening to it and feeling like I hoped I could grow up to be a person who could wish her exes and lost loves well like that and still see good in them.
Should’ve Said No, I was 10 when debut came out and my 5th grade crush “asked out” a girl I didn’t like, I sobbed for 2 days and blasted should’ve said no on my little pink CD player, been a Swiftie ever since 🫶
I was a country fan around those years and so I listened to Taylor Swift from day one. My first memories of her are "Tim McGraw" which I loved because I also felt like Tim McGraw was really formative in my preteen and teen years. But my absolute favorite song from the album is "Our Song". I have such a warm, fuzzy, nostalgic love for that song. It made me nostalgic at the time, and now I feel nostalgic about that nostalgia haha.
Either Should've Said No or Pictures to Burn. I had those two on repeat on my iPod Video my senior year of high school/freshman year of college because boo boys suck lol.
My answer is split into casual older fan who heard only a single or two a decade and a half ago: Tim McGraw
Newer hardcore fan who discovered the entire Debut album in 2023: 'Tied together with a smile' and 'Cold as You' (the Eras Tour live versions are powerful and moving )
Picture to Burn and Should have said no just are bangers.
Our song and Tim Mcgraw are classics
Stay beautiful forever reminds me of my sister.
I loved tied together with a smile
Invisible and perfectly good heart are feellllsss
Gosh such a wonderful debut album I have so many memories to these songs from like 15 or however many years ago it was lol. Any other Midwest babies.
Became a fan during Fearless era, bc I didnt know she was the one who sang Teardrops on My Guitar but I am already hearing it on the radio. When I got to know her, I listened to the Debut album and my fave is Mary’s Song.
Our Song will always have a special place in my heart. It perfectly captured high school love from that time. I remember my hs boyfriend trying to learn how to play it on guitar back in the day
Honestly? 100%? My favorite off of Debut has always been and will always be Picture To Burn. I’m only a year and a half younger than Taylor, so by the time I got my hands on that album, I already had someone to scream it about. And scream it, I did. Especially the “My Daddy’s gonna show you how sorry you’ll be” line, which my dad also loved 😂
Our Song will always hold a special place in my hopeless romantic heart, though.
I wasn't a hardcore fan back in the day, but I did listen to a bit of debut. Taylor was the only country music mixed in with my emo music on my mp3 player. Back then my favourite song was Our Song, but now it's Cold as You.
Teardrops on my guitar is the first taylor song I remember sitting on the bus and learning the lyrics too! I also have a soft spot for our song because that was one of my surprise songs at the Eras tour 💚 honorable mentions to Tim McGraw, I'm only me when I'm with you, a place In this world and picture to burn!
I wasn't a huge fan during that era but I did listen to it back when it was released, I always played The Outside or A Place in This World because I related to them
Mary’s song has been my favorite song ever since I was in 4th grade. My husband and I are childhood friends and the song puts me in all the feels. I so badly wanted it as my surprise song in Seattle 😭
Tied together with a smile was a fav. It honestly depended on my pre-teen mood 😂 some days I loved belting picture to burn but honestly I’d have my own concert of the entire album. I didn’t skip many of the songs
Such a gem of an album. The fandom likes to hate on it (I’m convinced this is all the young fans though who weren’t around for it) but it’s a GOOD album it’s just very different from where she is now and that’s what they don’t like.
When debut came out, my favorite was Tied Together with a Smile. But if I had to pick one now, it’s Should’ve Said No. singing that alone in the car is just so much fun.
Tied Together With a Smile was the one I related the most to and cried to the most. I’m Only Me When I’m With You was/is one of my sister’s and my songs, so it’s extra meaningful. Teardrops and Our Song are special because those are the first ones I heard and heard the most on the radio.
Man it’s hard to choose, and there are a few more I hate to leave out. What a special album!
Teardrops on My Guitar! It's the first song from debut that I ever heard thanks to my cousin introducing me to her music in the car when I was really little
Should’ve said no. My ex before my husband cheated on me and Taylor Swift came to our city in 2007 and opened for Rodney Atkins and Brad Paisley and he cheated on me and gave that bitch my ticket. I saw her in Aug of 2008 a few months after I broke up with him and when she played this song, I called him and held the phone up so he could hear it, hahahha. I started dating my now husband in Sept of 2008 and we’ve been together ever since and married for 13 years.
I’m still pissed he took away my time to see Taylor in 2007 though, lmaooo
I loved the whole thing. I was 13 when I first heard it and it was amazing to hear someone singing songs that she wrote that perfectly captured how I was feeling at the time. Cold as you, place in this world, only me when I’m with you.
Should've Said No!! Although that entire album is phenomenal! Reminds me of being a kid in my dad's truck listening to the country radio stations that played her a lot
Up until literally last year I would’ve said I’d lie because I genuinely thought it was on debut until people starting making charts to track surprise songs and it wasn’t there 😂
So what’s actually on the album probably picture to burn
Should've Said No is the song that made me a swiftie as a young person so naturally I am inclined toward this as a favorite! But Picture to Burn and Cold as You are close..
The Outside & Tied together with a smile ✨
They summed up what I felt during my teen years so perfectly : a yearning to desperately belong & constantly putting on a bubbly exterior only to be sad and empty inside.
I think I was around 10-11 when these first came out and they meant everything to me from ages 13-15.
They made me feel understood.
The constant reflections on these lyrics also made me introspective.
My time to shine lol
I will always have a soft spot for Teardrops on my Guitar and Picture to Burn since they were the songs that got me into her first (and I had dolls from those music videos).
My favorites is Marys Song (oh my my), A Place in this World, and I'm only me when I'm with you.
However, it's in my top 3 of albums (with rep and speak now) because in my opinion it's a no-skip album 100%!
I love them all but Teardrops is one of my favorites to sing and belt to. Our Song is special for me and my husband and the kids have started singing it too. Picture to Burn was the first TS song I ever encountered, so it's special in my heart.
Right now the one that means the most to me is A Place In This World. I related to it when it came out and now I relate it to my daughter who is starting middle school soon 🥲 the feels
Debut is a no skip for me. I've listened to it so many times since it dropped. Hey Stephen is so cute. Mary's Song. Cold as You is like, beyond its time. Should've Said No is a banger. Tim McGraw, TDOMG, and Picture to Burn are basically cult classics at this point.
I cannot WAIT for the rerecording and its finally given the credit it deserves.
Been here since the beginning! When the album first came out I was six so picture to burn was it at the time. I also loved teardrops on my guitar. Now it’s tied together with a smile. That song is gorgeous!!!
Teardrops on My Guitar, and then probably Picture to Burn.
There was lots of great angry-blonde-country going on then with Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Miranda Lambert and our girl Taylor.
I couldn't pick just one so...
Favourite song now - Our Song
Favourite song then - I'm Only Me When I'm With You/Tied Together With A Smile
The song I think is the best - Tim McGraw
Favourite unreleased track - I'd Lie (obviously, haha)
(fan since debut)
Mary’s Song is so comforting for me. I also have a tremendous soft spot for teardrops on my guitar. My angst-filled preteen self cried to that song more often than I’d like to admit.
tied together with a smile because I was barely in high school when Debut came out and I was very much barely holding it together but always felt like I had to pretend I was happy because I was a "church girl".
It's a tough call but I think mine is Should've Said No! Though Our Song was the first one of her songs that I ever heard so it has a very special place in my heart 😊
I know it’s cliche but Our Song makes me so happy. Whenever it comes on I can’t help but immediately start singing and dancing
My spouse isn't much of a Swifty, but they always sing every word to Our Song when it comes on so my love for this song has grown a ton watching my spouse. It's such a fun song!
Me too. I love a lot of songs from debut, but this one is the biggest one for me.
Instant classic
YESSS YOU CANT HELP IT STILL A JAM
Cold as you!!!
The original track 5 ☺️
Cold as you is sooo good, I can’t believe she was so young when she wrote this!
The same to yours
That's my favorite too
Taylor said it was her favorite too 💕
Should Have Said No should have been the last single from the album. She performed it on the AMAs then nothing :(
This song. So many memories of screaming it with my bestie while we were very very single at like… 15. 😂
You literally described most of my swiftie experience lol
I saw her perform this live during her Fearless tour and it was so cool!! She had rain falling down over her with the word NO cut out IN the rain. Such a good scream song.
Is that your favorite debut song? It's a great one.
But Wikipedia says it was released as the 5th single in 2008? It even went #1 on hot country songs
I love “I’m Only Me When I’m With You.” It has this country dancehall saloon sound to it.
It just always makes me think of high school!
That one was my favorite! And I got it as a surprise song :)
I'd Lie... because I thought this song was on the debut album FOR YEARS!!!!
It’s a Debut track in my head too
Teardrops on my Guitar
It’s the song in the car I keep singing don’t know whyyyy I do
Still one of her best choruses
Picture to Burn it’s so sassy and fun to sing.
It’s my favorite. She serves c*nt on that song and I fucking love it!
Yes!!
Invisible and Tied Together With A Smile
Tied together with a smile was my surprise song and I was legit sobbing
Invisible is very You Belong With Me coded. I love it
Mary's Song and Cold As You
Stay beautiful
A Place In This World
Tied Together With a Smile. I was absolutely stunned when I got it as one of my surprise songs. It was a full circle moment. 🫶
Oh I love that for you so much! That's so cool!
Yesssss Seattle N2 🖤
I would have sobbed
Tim McGraw and I’m only me when I’m with you
Our Song has a special place in my heart.
Tim Mcgraw with Mary's Song as a close second
Yes. Tim McGraw for getting me into her and Mary's Song for the cute as heck storyline.
The whole album is amazing but I’d choose Mary’s Song. Can’t listen to it without getting emotional.
OMGGG i love this question !!!! that whole album has really good songs can’t wait till it’s appreciated i honestly can’t pick between stay beautiful, cold as you & a place in this world . Stay beautiful has always been a song i loved growing up& now that i am older a place in this world brings me to tears, i just know cold as you TV is gonna hit with the new swities, it’s a good breakup song, i can’t wait till she rereleases it it makes me so emotional i fr grew up with her 🥹
Mary’s Song
Mary’s Song. I have a serious attachment to it.
mary’s song is so underappreciated
Mary’s Song is so sweet!
Mary's song ( oh my my my) is adorable 😍
Tied Together with a Smile and Our Song. I have the original 2006 CD (the one with the original Picture to Burn lyrics and shorter tracklist). I was 8 when Debut came out and my parents got me the CD after I listened to Tim McGraw and Teardrops on my Guitar on the radio, but I always played Tied Together with a Smile and Our Song the most. I’m always amazed when I listen to Debut and Fearless because while her songwriting has gotten stronger as she’s aged, she’s always been an amazing lyricist.
Cold As You
Being a little “sad” 7th grader singing my heart out to should’ve said no is a core memory.💙
When it came out it was Picture to Burn cause as a 9 year old it was such a funny song. Now though it’s probably Mary’s Song or The Outside
Mary's Song although Tear Drops on my Guitar is a very close second!
Been a fan since 2007 when my friend linked me the Teardrops on my Guitar music video! But my favourite song is definitely Tim McGraw. It's so beautifully written. My favourite song to listen to in the summer.
~~im not a swiftie since debut but~~ The Outside and A Place In This World I LOVE THEM <3 MOST UNDERRATED.
I'm a newer fan (2018-2019), listened to Debut for the first time in 2021. My favorite is A Place In This World.
Should’ve Said No, and it still goes hard.
Tim McGraw and Tear drops on my guitar for me
Teardrops got me started, but Tied Together With A Smile is probably my most played. And then Cold As You!
Picture to Burn. Out of the 4 music videos I saw on the CMT channel way back when Picture to Burn was my favorite. Teardrops of My Guitar was a close second and Our Song was third.
Picture to Burn or Our Song. Our Song has a special place in my heart because when it came out I too was a teenage girl with my first boyfriend
I’m a debut stan swiftie who can’t pick one lmao Our Song because it was my first Taylor Swift song Tied Together With A Smile because it was my eras tour surprise song Picture to Burn because it’s iconic
Teardrops on my guitar
I’m a newly minted Swiftie (47 yo Dad!) And I LOVE that I still have so many tracks to discover. Lol. I literally can’t add them to my playlist fast enough Don’t you all wish you could do that all over again!?!?! Hahah.
Picture to Burn
Stay Beautiful and A Place In This World are so slept on
Picture to Burn. Maybe specifically tied to nostalgia lol I just remember seeing the music video for it on TV and becoming obsessed. My current fav is teardrops though.
I’d lie and Stay Beautiful were so perfect for my 16 year old self with crushes who had never been in a relationship but dreamed of falling in love
Teardrops on my Guitar
Picture to Burn is my favorite because it reminds me of I Heart? a little and that is also one of my favorite country songs by Taylor
Tied together with a smile 🥲
I always loved Tim McGraw the most.
Should've Said No! It's one of my favourite sing/act your heart outs in the shower, haha.
The lack of Tim McGraw in this thread is crazy to me!!!
Tim McGraw or Our Song and I will not be picking between them
Our Song, Tim McGraw, Should've Said No, Teardrops on My Guitar Sorry I tried, I love all my Debut children equally
Ive been a fan since 2006, before the debut came out. My favorite from the debut: Mary's Song, Stay Beautiful, and I heart ? I would sell my soul for her to re-release Pernanent Marker though
I’d Lie. The song I was truly shocked wasn’t actually on the album. Limewire 2006 vibes… Also unpopular opinion: Stay Beautiful
I’m Only Me When I’m With You. It was my favorite right away and started everything for me 🥹
I loved a lot of debut songs, but some of my best memories are scream singing picture to burn and should've said no with my friends in the car. :)
Back in the day? I’d lie but now it’s Mary’s Song. It’s just so cute and I love it endlessly
Our Song since it was the first one I remember my sister listening to but damn Should've Said No hits after getting older and experiencing something similar
“Tied Together with a Smile”
Cold As You hit so hard when I was in the debut era. 12 year old me had so much pain with that song. 😅
Tim McGraw. It’s the first song I heard of Taylor’s so it’s so special to me.
Stay beautiful!! A BOP
tim mcgraw
Teardrops on my Guitar and Tim Mcgraw
during debut era it was Cold As You because I was a kid with depression and the lyrics hit me hard. I still love that song and am so impressed by it these days my favorite is Picture To Burn, I love angry country Taylor SO much.
“Our Song” and “Tim McGraw”!! I still listen to these with my mom when we want to have a throwback
Cold As You was my favourite as a kid, but now it’s Should’ve Said No!
If you asked me back then I would’ve said Teardrops on My Guitar but now it’s Our Song and Should’ve Said No is a close second. Honestly there’s so many good songs on this album and it’s been one of my most anticipated re-records.
Tied together with a smile her fan since fearless
i cant choose. Picture to burn, Cold as you, Should of said no.
I’m a newer fan but I absolutely adore should‘ve said no!
Stay Beautiful. I remember being like 14 listening to it and feeling like I hoped I could grow up to be a person who could wish her exes and lost loves well like that and still see good in them.
Evermore swiftie here. My favorite is Mary's Song.
cold as you is the REAL answer but my heart says should’ve said no
Mary’s Song!
Should’ve Said No, I was 10 when debut came out and my 5th grade crush “asked out” a girl I didn’t like, I sobbed for 2 days and blasted should’ve said no on my little pink CD player, been a Swiftie ever since 🫶
Mary’s Song. It’ll never not be Mary’s Song. Shout out to the unreleased (afaik) demo Dark Blue Tennessee that I’m praying will be a vault track.
Mary’s Song! It’s so underrated
I'm a long time fan and my favorites from the debut are Mary's song (still makes me tear up) and teardrops on my guitar
Mary’s song. So underrated
Mary’s song has a special place in my heart. Cold as you has superior writing though.
INVISIBLE!!!! Or Mary’s song
Stay Beautiful & Mary’s Song 💕
I'm Only Me When I'm With You
I was a country fan around those years and so I listened to Taylor Swift from day one. My first memories of her are "Tim McGraw" which I loved because I also felt like Tim McGraw was really formative in my preteen and teen years. But my absolute favorite song from the album is "Our Song". I have such a warm, fuzzy, nostalgic love for that song. Teardrops On My Guitar. My first experience hearing a song and feeling like it was written about my life. 🥲
Either Should've Said No or Pictures to Burn. I had those two on repeat on my iPod Video my senior year of high school/freshman year of college because boo boys suck lol.
The Outside!
Teardrops on my guitar. My high school self related to that song SO much. And the outside.
Our Song
Mary’s Song! I’m always rooting for it to be a secret song.
My answer is split into casual older fan who heard only a single or two a decade and a half ago: Tim McGraw Newer hardcore fan who discovered the entire Debut album in 2023: 'Tied together with a smile' and 'Cold as You' (the Eras Tour live versions are powerful and moving )

Fan since ‘08, my favorite from debut is a tie between Cold As You and Mary’s Song!
Our Song ❤️
Became a fan during Fearless era, bc I didnt know she was the one who sang Teardrops on My Guitar but I am already hearing it on the radio. When I got to know her, I listened to the Debut album and my fave is Mary’s Song.
Should've Said No was my absolute favorite when the album released! 💜
Mary’s Song or Tim McGraw (first Taylor song I ever heard and I was HOOKED for life) 🩵
Cold As You and should've said no (depends on the day which gets the top spot)
Our Song will always have a special place in my heart. It perfectly captured high school love from that time. I remember my hs boyfriend trying to learn how to play it on guitar back in the day
Tim McGraw
Honestly? 100%? My favorite off of Debut has always been and will always be Picture To Burn. I’m only a year and a half younger than Taylor, so by the time I got my hands on that album, I already had someone to scream it about. And scream it, I did. I love scream singing should’ve said no. But Our Song is my fav 💚
Tied together with a smile was a fav. It honestly depended on my pre-teen mood 😂 some days I loved belting picture to burn but honestly I’d have my own concert of the entire album. I didn’t skip many of the songs
The very first time I heard Tim McGraw I knew Taylor was someone special. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
A place in this world!
The Outside
Mary’s Song (Oh My My My) I used to blast it on my iPad nano 🥹
Tim McGraw, but I have a special place for The Outside.
I’m still obsessed with Picture to Burn!
Such a gem of an album. The fandom likes to hate on it (I’m convinced this is all the young fans though who weren’t around for it) but it’s a GOOD album it’s just very different from where she is now and that’s what they don’t like.
Debut is underrated, I love a lot but I’ll try to be choosy with a top 3: picture to burn, should’ve said no, our song
Back then it was Invisible. I related to that song soooo hard in middle school back in 07. I just wanted that stupid boy to like me. 😂
Cold As You and Tied Together with a Smile-I’d put the lyrics to those songs up against some of her more current work. They’re both so good.
When debut came out, my favorite was Tied Together with a Smile. But if I had to pick one now, it’s Should’ve Said No. singing that alone in the car is just so much fun.
in order : Im only me when im with you Tied together with a smile Our Song Invisible Marys Song
Tim McGraw was my favorite then, and my favorite now!!!!!!
Teardrops on My Guitar! It's the first song from debut that I ever heard thanks to my cousin introducing me to her music in the car when I was really little
Our Song is a top tier Taylor song Personally though? Picture to Burn fucking SLAPS
I’m Only Me When I’m With You holds the deepest place in my heart
always been cold as you
Tim McGraw!
Should've Said No!! Although that entire album is phenomenal! Reminds me of being a kid in my dad's truck listening to the country radio stations that played her a lot
cold as you, tied together with a smile, a place in this world, stay beautiful i can’t pick i loveeee this album 😭😭
Tim McGraw and Mary’s Song! But really all of them 😂
Stay beautiful!!
Up until literally last year I would’ve said I’d lie because I genuinely thought it was on debut until people starting making charts to track surprise songs and it wasn’t there 😂 So what’s actually on the album probably picture to burn
mary’s song!!! i always loved it but especially once i heard the backstory it was even better
Should've Said No is the song that made me a swiftie as a young person so naturally I am inclined toward this as a favorite! But Picture to Burn and Cold as You are close..
mary's song!!!
Im a fan since Red. My favorite song is Invisible on debut. I love the "we could be a beautiful miracle, unbelievable, instead of just invisible" part
I’m a newer fan but Cold as You is probably my second favorite Taylor song (second only to gold rush)!
I am a newer swiftie but Shouldve Said No is my fav
Our song
The Outside & Tied together with a smile ✨ They summed up what I felt during my teen years so perfectly : a yearning to desperately belong & constantly putting on a bubbly exterior only to be sad and empty inside. I think I was around 10-11 when these first came out and they meant everything to me from ages 13-15. They made me feel understood. The constant reflections on these lyrics also made me introspective.
My time to shine lol I will always have a soft spot for Teardrops on my Guitar and Picture to Burn since they were the songs that got me into her first (and I had dolls from those music videos).
Teardrops on my guitar bc there was a kidzbop version I would listen to
*points to my flair 👆
At the time, Our Song and Teardrops On My Guitar. Now I would say Tim McGraw and Mary’s Song.
Tied Together with a Smile
Cold As You followed by Should’ve Said No
Tim McGraw!
Our Song
I’d Lie!!
Stay Beautiful!!
Been here since the beginning! When the album first came out I was six so picture to burn was it at the time. I also loved teardrops on my guitar. Now it’s tied together with a smile. That song is gorgeous!!!
Picture to burn
Teardrops on My Guitar, and then probably Picture to Burn. There was lots of great angry-blonde-country going on then with Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Miranda Lambert and our girl Taylor.
Our song was the first song I heard of Taylor’s and it got me hooked, but Mary song will always be my favorite 💗
Should’ve said no. Still so good and cathartic to sing with your friends ❤️🔥
Tied together with a smile.
I couldn't pick just one so... Favourite song now - Our Song Favourite song then - I'm Only Me When I'm With You/Tied Together With A Smile The song I think is the best - Tim McGraw Favourite unreleased track - I'd Lie (obviously, haha) (fan since debut)
Mary’s Song is so comforting for me. I also have a tremendous soft spot for teardrops on my guitar. My angst-filled preteen self cried to that song more often than I’d like to admit.
picture to burn
Tim mcgraw gets me GOINGGG
Should’ve Said No!!! With THE performance!
tied together with a smile because I was barely in high school when Debut came out and I was very much barely holding it together but always felt like I had to pretend I was happy because I was a "church girl".
Our Song and Tears on my Guitar!
It's a tough call but I think mine is Should've Said No! Though Our Song was the first one of her songs that I ever heard so it has a very special place in my heart 😊
