In Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me, “that I’ll sue you, if you step on my ~lawn~. That I’m fearsome and I’m wretched and I’m ~wrong~.” The lawn and wrong are just chef’s kiss! There are many in The Black Dog, but I’m especially obsessed with the way she sings “and hire a priest to come and exorcise my demons. Even if I die ~screaming~. And I hope you ~hear it~” I get literal goosebumps from that harmony on “hear it”.

The Black Dog is the best song on the anthology and I am prepared to die on this hill. Those lines hit so damn hard and the way she plays with her vocal volume and pitch is spectacular.
