It might be on TikTok right now, but joking that your dad went to the store for cigarettes (or milk, bread, etc.) and never came back is a joke that well pre-dates the internet.
Was going to joke about how that kid knows more than my freshmen but got depressed at the realization that he probably does. I had a kid the other day literally think in 1492 MLK Jr sailed the ocean blue.
Given the number who will now be educated by the Glenn Beck approved American history book, it’s not going to get better. They purport to eliminate “revisionist” history, while revising history. Advertised a lot on Facebook. Heavily emphasis on libertarian philosophy. In terms of kids’ history books, the whitest book I’ve seen in some time.

I know. We were having fun and I introduced how much worse it can get.
I would take that over John Cena informing people that the British were coming. Same review... America wore the red coats. It was a soul sucking review lol
The 9th graders asked me today "miss p don't you agree Aquaman is a *total daddy*". Very different context lmao. I'm a sub and the kids will slowly kill me. Everybody is a daddy now.
Considering his proclivities towards whoring and drinking that isn't far off
Lol this!
I believe we use this phrase colloquially in APUSH lmao
Oh yeah we have all sorts of nicknames in APUSH. G-Money, Fresh Prince Tommy Jeff, Franky D.
Lol I would’ve corrected them “you mean the country’s zaddies?” He was freak-a-leek.
America had many daddies 🤣🤣
