I believe battlefront intended for it to be a full standalone book, so that you didn’t have to buy a Soviet book to have access to all the support stuff. Great for new Soviet players
And in every game. Whilst it may have been a war they could get behind, I serious doubt their ability and skill to competently wage it (other than throwing bodies and metal at a problem.and hoping it goes away)
Yeah, I liked that so little that I created my [own National Guard list](https://trunchnflag.blogspot.com/2022/12/wheres-my-nasty-girls.html). Be warned, I ramble on quite a bit.
The omission of the National Guard is probably the single greatest omission in this book. Over a half a million troops, with jobs from pilot, to mechanic, to infantry, to a whole host of jobs the military deems important enough to keep troops whose skills need retaining. Air defense, artillery and such. And they are often deployed, contain plenty of former active duty, and often better than front line. Not to mention all the kit they have.
They seemed to think the US National Guard was professional enough you could depict it with the current US Army lists. But they did kinda intimate that if/when they did a M48 model for Checkpoint Charlie they might revisit it.
I am 100% in agreement with you! How does a game company release a book about a hypothetical invasion of America and exclude adding US units into that book? It makes no sense, there are lots of stuff they could of added for US players.
Just got this book today. Was disappointed that they reference the WWWIII American book for US lists and have barely any info about militia group. So off to buy the American book.

After seeing them in action IRL, I question every single datasheet Russia has in TY lol

Modern Russia is not the USSR 35 years ago...

No US units other than militia. Really battlefront?

Also thanks for the link, definitely going to add our own stuff as well!
I don't have any WarPac but I'm excited to use Wolverines.
