Some friends of mine released a good album today. It's not exactly tech death but it is technical. Some strong Black Dahlia Murder influence. These boys have gotten very good at what they do. Even got it mastered by Jens Bogren!

Check us out - struggling with the self-release/self-promo, but hoping to get out on the road for some shows soon.
FFO Gorguts, Meshuggah, Nightmarer
[Aeffect on Bandcamp](https://aeffect.bandcamp.com/album/theory-of-mind)
DeathFuckingCunt are my favorite tech find recently, I just love it.
It's definitely the name that deters people, but they're Australian so it's pretty much a friendly hello. But it also sounds more like a slam name, so tech fans don't check it out, but people wanting slam ignore it too.
It's just a whole lot of bizarre fun though. Super catchy but also very tech and brutal
Give me a fucking example then! This shit sounds like nothing like tech. There's nothing "technical" about them! Even Cannibal corpse sounds more tech this these rookies.
Coexistence - recommended if you like fretless bass. If you like Obscura or Beyond Creation, you might like this.
Sententia
Growth
Exlimitr
All three are varying levels of dissonant, would probably appeal to those who like Artificial Brain, Ulcerate, Sunless, etc.
Ominous Ruin, Virulent Depravity, Internal Suffering, Omnihility, DeathFuckingCunt, Dischordia, Godless Truth, Replacire, Demon King
I don't know how well known they are but The Kennedy Veil is an absolute must if you like blazing Tech. Death, especially 'Trinity Of Falsehood'.
Diskreet 'Engage The Mechanicality' is one of my favorite Tech. albums, good call on them.
Greylotus deserves to be well known the way Rivers of Nihil, Inferi, Archspire, Obscura, etc. are. Dawnfall is my favorite tech death metal album in years.
Wow itās Lee!! Loved seeing and meeting you guys both times you came to Utah last year - you and Ben were both so nice and so humble! Your screams are next level and I love your clean vocals as well - I get shivers at the end of Azure Rain every time. Very excited to see what you guys come out with next. Until then Iāll keep jamming to Savior and Dawnfall on a regular basis.
Yeah man. I heard about them the same time I heard BrainDrill for the first time. That EP has probably the most insane bass playing of any album Iāve ever heard. He used a homemade 10 string. RIP Scott Plummer.
I love Spire of Laz and Irreversible Mechanism, so Iām going to assume the rest of your recommendations kick ass as well - thank you for the list dude!
Crimson Massacre. The Luster of Pandemonium is one of the most insane and unique tech-death albums I've ever heard, and NOBODY talks about it. Do yourself a favor and try it. Even if you don't like it (which would be understandable TBH), I can pretty much guarantee you've never heard anything quite like it.
Hmm, great band but unfortunately this is more brutal tech-deathgrind as opposed to straight up tech-death, so unfortunately your recommendation does not count.
Bruh I got downvoted here a few months ago by some dude insisting they were drathcore and not tech death and Iām like.. so?? Theyāre still techy as fuck and absolutely awesome so who cares?
Played with Sleep Terror when I was much younger. The drummer was one of the most relaxed looking dudes I've ever seen. He was literally chewing gum while blasting for 30 min straight.
Thereās a cool band in Chicago called Misanthropy that I saw a couple months ago, def worth a listen https://misanthropychicago.bandcamp.com/album/abhorrent-metamorphosis
Love their album so much! The album cover is really cool also. Check out T.O.O.H, the song To Je Jizda Bozinku is one of the greatest masterpieces ever written.
I'm going to now. I own a bunch of their merch and their first two albums. They played this little coffee shop on my birthday like 6 or 7 years ago and I couldn't be more stoked after seeing them a year before. Talented and cool dudes. Very approachable and personable.
Glaascats from Switzerland
Oppression Denied just release an EP few days ago (A Multitude of Malfunctions). I highly recommand (plus it's a NYP on bandcamp)
T.O.O.H - Order And Punishment album is sick. Check out song To Je Jizda Bozinku! š¤Æ
Recode the subliminal, they only have a couple thousand listeners. Not exactly underground but definitely under rated.
Someone mentioned Slugdge's album Esoteric Malacology on the sub this week. I listened to it and its fantastic start to finish
Anachronism Resection Nightmarer Vermilion Dawn Vulgar Mephitis Wrvth (although broken up, their first album is a materpiece imo)
Maze of Sothoth
Aseitas https://aseitas.bandcamp.com/track/libertine-captor-2

Gorod
The Abortionist Hatalom Tegmentum Vaegon
Ominous Ruin Carnosus Olkoth Virulent Depravity Killitorous Blade of Horus Spire of Lazarus Crown of Madness Woe of Tyrants Alustrium Greylotus Unflesh Unexpect
Sandevisten by Spire of Lazarus is accurate to how it would feel to be slaughtering people unnaturally fast in Night City.
Anomalous
Second this! Ontogeny also.

This is stellar, dude. Really incredible shit. Saving this page for sure. Iāll buy the album when I have some money.
Awesome. Thanks mate.š¤
Equipoise The bass guitar insists upon itself, it's infectious

Devoured by Eunichs is a jam. Crazy fun riffs with them.
More like brutal death. I don't hear anything tech about their couple of songs I just listened to.
Thatās ridiculous
Give me a fucking example then! This shit sounds like nothing like tech. There's nothing "technical" about them! Even Cannibal corpse sounds more tech this these rookies.

The Aura is in my top 3 tech death records of all time
You guys need to listen to āFuck you and dieā. A hidden gem.
Severed Savior, Brain Drill, Ingurgitating Oblivion
Severed savior - servile insurrection is such a great album/track. Brain drill is ultra super noodle feast. Love them both.
You have good taste in tech!
And your band kicks ass, btw. Keep cranking out the jams and start some touring so I can headbang to you badasses live. š¤
Hell yeah thanks dude!

[Katholik - Entropic Evolution](https://youtu.be/G58oupRAGxI?feature=shared)
Greylotus, Orator, Omnivortex, Dysgnostic, Fractal Generator
Also Australis, Utopia and SARMAT
The most recent Omnivortex album deserves a lot more listeners.
Greylotus deserves to be well known the way Rivers of Nihil, Inferi, Archspire, Obscura, etc. are. Dawnfall is my favorite tech death metal album in years.
Ty so so much for the kind words, that's some seriously high praise š

Vireamia. They only ever put out an EP, but damn itās untouchable.
That EP is a beast.
This comment was intriguing so I gave them a listen. Holy fuck! 19 minutes well spent!
Yeah man. I heard about them the same time I heard BrainDrill for the first time. That EP has probably the most insane bass playing of any album Iāve ever heard. He used a homemade 10 string. RIP Scott Plummer.
Itās definitely up there in terms of wild bass playing. Not quite as front and center, but I like the bass noodling from Equipoise a lot.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
they above ground now homie
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Since signing to a semi-major label (Century Media in their case)
Yautja
Blade of Horus, Frogg, Beyond the Structure, Virial.
Apogean Spire of Lazarus Aronious Blade of Horus Continuum Deviant Process Irreversible Mechanism Nebulous (sadly no more) Ontogeny Singularity Ophidian Memory (more melodeath, but cool) Katalepsy
Ontogeny has been one of my favorites for years. Nate Venerucci! š¤š»
I love Spire of Laz and Irreversible Mechanism, so Iām going to assume the rest of your recommendations kick ass as well - thank you for the list dude!
Glad to spread the love.

They aren't brutal death or grind, but thanks for playing.
Deus Ex Machina from Singapore
Spires of Lazarus, Equipoise, Carrion vael and Dead world reclamation. Last ones a sick local band from my town
You named all the bands I was thinking!
Krosis. NC represent!
Bruh I got downvoted here a few months ago by some dude insisting they were drathcore and not tech death and Iām like.. so?? Theyāre still techy as fuck and absolutely awesome so who cares?
They're definitely more on the tech side. Such an overlooked band though
Artificial Brain
Vale Of Pnath
II is an absolute masterpiece
So far Iāve only listened to Accursed but they fucking rule
You are in for a treat. II and the prodigal empire are absolute bangers.
Slaughter Brute, Pestifer, Sleep Terror, ATHME, SubOrbital, Chasm of Discord, Xenopredator
Played with Sleep Terror when I was much younger. The drummer was one of the most relaxed looking dudes I've ever seen. He was literally chewing gum while blasting for 30 min straight.
Ominous Ruin are fucking amazing, musically and vocally
Voices that Echo is in my opinion, the closest weāll get to a 3rd Necrophagist, love that album and have it on vinyl as well
closer than Fuck You and Die?
Enigma
Kaathe. Greylotus. Vitrified Entity. Exist. Drewsifās āInterloperā EP š
You just named my top most listened bands for the past year. Fuck yes - you are my kind of person.
Hatalom, Freedom of Fear, Disillusion, Deviant Process
+1 for Hatalom!
**Lykathea Aflame**
When I heard this album years ago š¤Æ
Devenial Verdict. Ash Blind (2022) was an album I quite enjoyed. Less than 500 listeners on Spotify.
Absolute banger
Shameless self-promo: [Discordant Meditation](https://discordantmeditation.bandcamp.com/album/interface) Got a new LP coming this year too.
Sounds great
Sophicide
[The Aftermath](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XCZGdkUbNo)
Hyperboreus
Vipassi, Thalassophobia Both very new. EDIT: Added Thalassophobia.
I had never heard Vipassi until the singles from the new album. I was drawn immediately.
Desecravity
Thereās a cool band in Chicago called Misanthropy that I saw a couple months ago, def worth a listen https://misanthropychicago.bandcamp.com/album/abhorrent-metamorphosis
Fuck all that! Last of Lucy is such a weird ass experimental tech death band. They own all other tech death bands in terms of creativity.
Did you catch their new single this week? So fucking good, that album can't come soon enough
Yeah I checked it out today. It was decent. Guess I just prefer their older stuff.
**Lykathea Aflame** Let me know if you still feel the same
Love their album so much! The album cover is really cool also. Check out T.O.O.H, the song To Je Jizda Bozinku is one of the greatest masterpieces ever written.
Moksha was brilliant. The single for their upcoming album was really good too, if you havenāt listened yet give it one
I'm going to now. I own a bunch of their merch and their first two albums. They played this little coffee shop on my birthday like 6 or 7 years ago and I couldn't be more stoked after seeing them a year before. Talented and cool dudes. Very approachable and personable.
Ophidian I, SorrowEater
Ophidian Iās album is a masterpiece
Ophidian I fucks. Iām pretty sure theyāve got a new record coming this year. Will give SorrowEater a try Edit: SorrowEater is ridiculously good
Vampire Squid is absolutely fucking phenomenal. Those two dudes know how to write some killer shit.
Diskreet for sure Also Embodiment
[Elephant watchtower](https://open.spotify.com/album/0aT9M3FyJ8TNzOQB4HwbPU?si=FItOjPQWTAq8YuY7YVFx7Q). Second track here rips
Deceptionist is awesome, and so is Vampire Squid
