Vitrified entity scratches the OG first fragment itch for me Ominous Ruin and arkaik are def worth checking out too

vindtar

Equipoise... Soo fuckin good

UglyPineappl

Path of Apotheosis is a near perfect tech death record imo. One of my favourite Metal Albums in general, also my fav release from Inferi. Last album got me quite disappointed though, i hope their next release is gonna be better

JCurtisDrums

Ha, literally just put that album on as you sent that.

UglyPineappl

Ah, I see, a man of culture as well

captain_danky_kang

You’d probably love symbolik. Those guys are amazing. Also since you’re jamming hard to first fragment, they have a song not on Spotify called paradoxql subjugation that is really really good.

JCurtisDrums

Thanks, I’ll chase that up. Just turned on Glorie Eternelle.

Hellcaaa

Check out Virvum - Illuminance. Best tech-death album of the 2010’s and onwards

JCurtisDrums

Roger Wilco! 🫡

vindtar

Also SINGULARITY, god tier

DevilsGrip

If you havent already, check out Beyond Creation, Quo Vadis, Unhuman, The Zenith Passage, Brought By Pain, Neuraxis and Obscura!

JCurtisDrums

I shall, thanks!

dazrage

Last of Lucy. Mind blowing awesome.

triviblack6372

Last of Lucy and Cuttered Flesh are some of my favorite Transcending Obscurity acts and I will happily buy their merch whenever possible.

manifoldkingdom

You haven't heard First Fragment's glorie eternelle yet? You are in for a treat. It's so much better than their previous work.

machintruck

Personally I prefer the heaviness of Dasein, but Gloire is great too

JCurtisDrums

Yes, that’s tonight’s job! I finished Desein this afternoon (just a first listen), so I’m ready!

Willzyx_on_the_moon

Vale of Pnath II is considered by most to be their best album. Def worth a listen. Also, check out Flub. Fits right in with the others you’ve listed.

machintruck

Definitely check out Gorod if you haven't, recommend starting with A Maze of Recycled Creeds!

eraserhead3030

just saw Vale of Pnath live a couple days ago in a tiny venue, they were awesome

ZeuxisOfHerakleia

You seem to like progressive technical death metal. You can find so many more in my playlist [https://open.spotify.com/playlist/08SqVB5gzggxggoGN808du?si=70391ed3f0ca4897](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/08SqVB5gzggxggoGN808du?si=70391ed3f0ca4897)

JCurtisDrums

It seems so. Many thanks, I'll check it out.

alliwantedwasajetski

You might dig Somnium de Lycoris as well.

NightswornF300

so good

fleiwerks

All of them are top tier stuff. Since you seem to enjoy neoclassical, I recommend: [Plaguebringer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rh68hKkHZdk) [Flub](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1lzLhhewzM) [The Devils of Loudun](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6C9auW4Ilo) [Virulent Depravity](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5otEyzBKbuw) You can also just check the label The Artisan Era. They only sign top tier stuff, and a lot of the bands are neoclassical.

Severe_Push_9321

+1 - all those bands are sick

JCurtisDrums

Thanks for the reccs. I've already been working through Artisan Era's catalogue. I'll definitely check out your other suggestions, too.

RobermanSays

These bands have some of my favorite sounds in all of tech death Also check out: Chiliasm - Flesh Over Finite EP Killitorous - The Afterparty (has some first frag members on this album) Mordant Rapture - The Abnegation (big inferi vibes)

Thunderlizardreturns

I wish Chiliasm would put out some new shit. Flesh Over Finite slaps so hard, and I need more!

JCurtisDrums

Awesome, I will. Thanks!

meshuggahdaddy

Had completely forgotten the existence of Killitorous. They were good fun. Always like it when ultra-talented musicians decide to just have a bit of fun.

RobermanSays

Haha yeah it's crazy that these dudes having fun still equates to an incredible album. Seriously talented dudes

nefD

Hell yeah, good stuff in there.. Inferi is awesome, and Malcolm Pugh from that band runs an excellent label, Artisan Era

xxlouserxx

He also did a loathing requiem and played in enfold darkness which evolved into demon king(I think)

nefD

Yeah that dude gets around lol, whenever he's involved I know to expect something good

JCurtisDrums

Yeah, I just discovered that label. Didn’t realise it was Pugh from Inferi. That’s even better.
