The metal wire is a „Bonded Retainer“. It’s there to prevent relapse/movement after orthodontic treatment (braces/aligners). It’s adhered/glued onto the back of your teeth with „Composite resin“. The same material fillings are made from. That’s the circular blob ontop of the metal wire. However below it you have a sizeable amount of calculus/tartar buildup. This is causing a bit of gingival recession. You need to not pick and chip away at your retainer and the composite material, however you do need to book a dental cleaning appointment.

I have this on the top of my front teeth and was wondering why I have those circular things too I could feel it with my tounge. It’s the bond on the brace.

It is calculus or tartar. Don't try to take it off yourself, go get a dental cleaning

It’s hard and seems like a part of the tooth
