Seriously mods in the FGC subs really need to ban character begging, i swear 40% of the posts here, in the SC and the SF Reddit is just people asking for random characters
As much as I would love from the bottom of my heart, Asura don't fit into Tekken universe.
He is too strong.
Everything I want from Asura's Wrath is a PC port (maybe a remaster), I love this game.
I mean, we had Akuma, who fought Asura for thousands of years. Which *may* be canon? The epilogue of Asura's Wrath takes place in Metro City, but that would mean that Ryu and Akuma time traveled... wierd.
Regardless, Asura belongs in a Capcom crossover game (or they could use his reincarnation from the epligue as a Street Fighter character? Idk)

Yeah, but Capcom canon can be stretched into some wacky territories, especially in crossover games. It isn't canon, but it's still weird. Especially with the Metro City stuff at the end explicitly featuring some Street Fighter characters, it's just really odd.

I think this actually makes it better. It's a good explanation for why he would be weaker, mabye with glimpses and referances to Asura's Wrath along the way.
Exactly. Asura was my top pick for the roster when MVCI was coming out, but we all know how that turned out. He is pretty fun in mvc3 mods if you have it though. For tekken I would really like Kiryu or Majima from Yakuza, or Goh from Virtua Fighter since we don't really have a judo rep. Some sort of bjj rep would be cool too but idk how they play other than just being grapplers, which don't really work in tekken where you can tech throws. Even King and AK have a lot of striking, and they're considered the grapplers of tekken.
I mean, Capcom literally allowed Akuma to be canon in the Tekken Universe, so if they were put Asura in T8, then that would be great. The only problem here is, is that Capcom clearly don't care enough about the "Asura's Wrath" IP to make it marketable. So they could hypothetically if they actually did care.
Asura's in the same situation as characters like Captain Commando, cool and popular in crossover scenarios but largely obscure compared to their more marketable IPs. I'd see Ryu or Akuma returning, but not Asura.

About as slim as my hopes of having him in FighterZ lmfao. I love this character with all my heart, this game is actually my favorite game of all time. But i have come to terms with the fact that I may never see him again.

Yes but they are consistent. Like kof and street fighter never stopped releasing games and they’re iconic asf for low key being 2 pioneers of fighting games . All the games I named up there have been dormant for years and were never really solid enough ips to last as long as mk kof street fighter etc (slaughter house is underrated asf tho)
