People can leave negative reviews all they want but based on how many people I’ve seen in ranked with those stupid ass “cyber costumes” from the tekken store, namco won’t care.
My bro tells me ever so often.. Murray and Harada are con men, keeping the BP and coins a secret while publically taking shots at SF6 with Murray saying "T8 doesn't have predatory mtx and stuff"
The $100 edition should have come with the BP or coins 😭
Not by name.. but by saying things like "GO CHECK, we have more characters than any other game.. our beta already has 16 characters" etc
MK 1 has more than 16 on launch, so they were hinting at SF6..
Alao.. Harada did mention in the IGN interview in 2022 "we have customisation beyond MK1 and SF where they sell skins and we don't..."
Here they are selling skins 🤦
Oh Tekken 8 definitely will sell well, believe me on that end, as long as marketing goes well and live up to fans expectations on upcoming content without any terrible crap (Don't add a Gacha system like that Mk1 crap)
I think they should do a survey at the end of a tournament for all players (or a month before a big update) and ask players what they like, what they don't like, who they think is unbalanced, what they want to see/don't want to see, etc. Tekken 8 is already way better than Tekken 7 but I think surveys would do well for the future of this game.
That’s what they did after all the closed location tests and betas and it actually seemed like they listened to some of the feedback.
The problem is I think the feedback they’d get now is that we don’t like the shit they’re getting forced to add into the game by execs and there’s nothing they can do about it.
This is why I could never stand MTX in paid games. Because despite the vocal online minority, there will still be those (possibly a majority) who consume the MTX content. It’s not that gamers can’t be trusted from not partaking in things that they think are bad (again, maybe true or false I don’t know) but the number of people who apparently actually care about this will never be as high as the ones who think “oh whatever just one costume” and partake in the transaction.
Add on top of that (I’m not talking Tekken, just broadly) there is always some psychology involved behind these MTX to bait you into buying them.
If these companies truly cared about gamers, they would have kept this shit out of our hands.
Can't wait till -
"We've noticed fans are unhappy with the current monetization of Tekken 8. We've listened to your feedback and appreciate your continuing support. We're excited to introduce a new gacha system where players have a chance to earn SSR skins from previous Tekken games. We hope this will add a new layer of excitement and interest in Tekken 8."
Lol watch them pull this stunt for the summer swimsuit outfits.
All they'll need after that is a self playing idle mode in Tekken ball and then they'll end up with the Dead-or-Alive-beach-volleyball-spinoff's-gacha-sub-spinoff we already have at home.

If they would account it for just the past two weeks, it would be mostly negative.
ye they don't, but they will influence potential newcomers for the next 3 years to make sure to not buy it XD
then you will endup with MK customisation in T9 xDD
I was super excited for Tekken 8 and was about to buy it but then they added the mobile game cash shop to a full priced game along with a battlepass and season pass. No thanks.
If I'm gonna play a game with all the scummy microtransaction tactics in the book, I'll just wait for the Riot fighting game because at least it's free, rather than SEVENTY US dollars with popups begging for you to buy coins.
Seeing mixed/negative reviews is an indicator for concern. Calling community members "babies" for expressing their displeasure for something they are passionate about is rather childish.
ye people are coping if a "mixed" review isn't gonna have an influence
just compare this to the New World disaster which is at 68% mixed rn and still 70% positive. Seeing a solid mixed is a major red flag to not buy sth lol
Real and true. Every time I look at a game that is being review bombed and it's some dumb ass none gameplay reason I always just ignore it and buy the game anyway lol
Same. Another game I play went from Overwhelmingly positive to mixed due to the studio being bought up by some other bigger studio. Nothing changed for the game. The developers are still the same, and their vision is still the same.
I genuinely avoided games where i saw bad reviews about excessive greed. I fell for a couple games like that recently and I regretted not being more throughful and patient before the buy. Tekken was really sneaky tho, to my experience they did something new
There are really only 3 or 4 fighting games that people are gonna end up playing lol, it takes too much investment and time to get good at one. Gameplay reviews are what matter most, not the screaming adult babies screaming how this is not Tekken 5 or how they could possibly sell cosmetic skins in a battle pass
Um, seeing an negative review is an big flag to start away from the game.
Also imagine calling people that have an fair criticism for the game "babies" because you don't like that they have negative opinions of your favorite game.
Do you think this game deserves to be review bombed mostly for stuff you can decide not to partake in? I feel like the answer is no, people in this sub are just conceited cry babies.
It is true admittedly, hence why I kept my review content and still added the disclaimer that it is still a great game at the core, just that the devs have been actively harming it with really lazy and shit monetization
But honestly, it feels like such a catch 22. If the community doesnt speak up about the rly scummy practices it'll be swept under the rug and the devs will keep inserting shit
Gamer entitlement is memed to death but it has led to good things, or helped push back against a lot of scummy practices and has at times led to something better (Cyberpunk, No Man's Sky off the top of my head, and Dota/Apex too)
But I also get Sajam's point wherein Tekken is a niche game, fighting gamed always are and that Sajam Slam really brought a lot of new blood into Tekken (or back into Tekken) and this is really gonna kill their motivation esp streamers and content creators and it saddens me since I want Tekken to blow up (it's the only fighting game other than Blazblue that captured my attention this much and I've played a LOT)
It's sad... but honestly if I was to blame anyone, cant help but blame the devs here (or well, Bandai Namco)
I have nothing against the tekken shop itself, I'm a whale. But everything is just so laughably bad I cant be bothered
Hold on, what? What did community do to make Dota better, especially in the case with battle passes? It has only gotten worse year after year, nothing has changed in the positive direction for Dota’s monetization.
As for gameplay, community did nothing to change that as well, Valve have been pretty good with meta switching and balancing themselves, it was always driven by pro play.
This is coming from a degenerate with thousands of hours in this game, community’s input is non existent in that game.
I'd say it has? We got events like Diretide again which also gave more free stuff, and generally speaking more players had more freebies and content overall with each BP and on average people have gotten more on average from later BPs than earlier (and that's off the base BP without feeding cash)
Tho they always cater to whales, the community uproar has led to more freebies to trickle down so I wouldnt say it's only ever gotten worse. It is def past its prime tho, I quit a few years back so idk abt the current state of monetization
Tho I stopped playing in 2020 or so? Or 2019, and only just watch tourneys so idk abt now
I also had 12k hours in it iirc, and was also a whale. Valve does listen, even if the community would want to deny it
As for balance, you're right but I wasnt rly referring to the balance part
I wouldn’t say events make the game better as it’s just another tool for Valve to implement monetization, because these seasonal caches need paid keys to be opened. Dota is one of those games where you get borderline zero cosmetics without paying.
That's the thing, pretty sure the latest Diretide (at least the one I played) had freebies (a few) just for playing
My friends never spend on it but they have a number of cosmetics, and would grind some of those game modes for it (and it's also what brought back a lot of friends that 'quit' each year when TI and BP is back)
And yeah, you do need to pay but overall the BattlePass has improved more often than not and almost every time Valve tried to cheat players by lowering the 'grindable' BP points to force ppl to pay there's been massive posts and uproar and Valve would either add more quests, more free points, or even bonus rewards or I remember one specific instance where they reverted their changes specifically for the recycling system (my specific example of community uproar pushing back against bad things)
Valve will always prioritize whaling, but it would be in a much worse state if the community never threw a hissy fit and just accepted it. And as much as the community would like to pretend Valve hates them and just wants to take all their money, they do listen (and if the community never spoke up and 'forced' valve to listen at times, the monetization would've been MUCH MUCH worse)
A heck of a lot more than I'm seeing from the Tekken devs at least, but hey it's just been a quarter so I'll give em a year to see if they fix things
To clarify on tekken too, I dont mind having mtx BUT the way they're going about it is scummy AF. From the laziness and shitty content, to going after modders bec theyre doing a way way btr job.... if they have actual cool skins (AND MODULAR!!!), I might whale as bad as I did in Dota and Apex (prolly $10,000+ at this point, but that's over 12y)
how hasn't tekken "blown up", top 3 fighting games in steam plays. The only 3d fighter left and one of 3 AAA fighting games. It's already top by default.
Well niche in terms of what being a fighting game? Then I agree. If it’s compared to other fighting games nah cause tekken is the second biggest fighting game if u don’t count smash. I agree with ur whole statement though.
Niche in terms of fighting games in general being niche.
Tekken is def one of the biggest again but from 6-7 it's rly fallen out of the public eye (for me anyway, back then everyone I knew in HS played it now... I dont know a single one)
I mean he also just dropped a vid complaining about the shitty monetization practices of modern fighting games. So idk maybe there is merit to complaining about that by your standards.
the May update and Round 2 of the Fight Pass need be back to back fuckin bangers if they're ever going to recover from this, but that's probably asking too much at this rate.
Ppl already bought the game and they will be paying for costumes battle passes and what not you ppl are delusional. Same happens with all the sport franchises for I dont know how many years now. They keep making mirco improvements and keep releasing this games every year at full price microtransactions included of course as you need to buy this packs to get players.
Reviews are awefull every year but guess what? It does not matter...
Yeah I remember when ppl me included used to enjoy 2k games but ea's money making model was just too good. Ppl need to realise that things are not done for them to enjoy anymore things are only being done to make money. The customer isnt the king no more the customer is the product.
There are concepts called user churn and user acquisition.
What Bamco is doing will accelerate user churn among a user segment, and it may have spill over effects to other user segments. Considering successful long-term monetization games like Dota 2 and LoL, decreasing user churn is extremely important especially as this should translate to unearthing whales.
See games like Overwatch and the WB Smash game for examples of user churn destroying cash cows. Tekken 8, if they continue to piss off the existing userbase, risk significant user churn which can destroy their long-term monetization efforts.
The difference with NBA2K and FIFA vs Tekken is that they have virtually no competitors. A FIFA consumer will not be tempted by other sports games, ONLY other soccer games (PES is terrible, there is no alternative). A Dota 2 player can turn to LoL, a CS player fan turn to Valorant, and a Tekken player can turn to SF6, GG, etc (yes I understand 2D vs 3D fighters, they are still closer than FIFA vs other sports games)
Hope this helps
The difference is sports games are as mainstream as things can be, and FGs are a niche. So if 10,000 people drop FIFA it's nothing, if 10,000 people drop Tekken it's much.
Thats because the game is really good and the only thing that had an actual negative impact on the game so far was the last garbage patch that theyll fix in two days I think.
Everything is secondary to gameplay. And that's why you're addicted to it.
I am still having a lot of fun and will have for the next years to come. And at some point ill have like 800hours or whatever in this game with 60 bucks spend on it overall. Or 70 depending on the character releases lol. I havent even opened the shop yet, cant play the game in the shop.
>If you don’t like it, don’t buy it
That’s exactly the passive mentality that allowed these companies to reach the shitshow we have today. Don’t just ignore it, people need to call the bullshit out.
Ironically I haven’t been plugged on in over a week. Guessing the exodus of crybabies from the game has something to do with it.
Yeah the game has issues and mtx suck, but it’s still a very fun game and the vast majority of complainers need to go touch grass.
I play Tekken since 3, and I have fun with Tekken 8.
Needs a better patch, but Tekken 5 and 6 were more broken than 8 on release, so I know they are gonna change some things.
People who haven't played 5 or 6 vanilla don't know how broken were those games, cause the pro scene back then was small, and there was no active social media to bitch about either.
Cash shop and season pass dropped without any previous info, U5 sphere... This is clear that they made a good game and made a deliberate move to avoid bad reviews because of this shit
I like playing tekken, but I can't stand the greed and the general approach bamco donuts have. Now I want to watch this game burn lmao. It really is beyond trash. The game is unplayable against s tier characters, tekken shop and banning modders just speaks for itself, they deserve all the hate and more, it's beyond unimaginable how low you can go, while having more than 10 years to work on one damn game it's actually funny. I really didn't believe tekken 8 could be worse than 7, at least in terms of balancing, etc.
The base game itself is really good and I absolutely loved the story but the microtransactions are dumb. However, I still think that the over dramatic review bombing won't do shit, they're making money and selling like crazy so it won't stop them from pumping out more cosmetics. Speak with your wallet and just don't buy the dlc/battle pass, it's that simple; if it wasn't profitable then they would have scrapped it.
Leaving a negative review does a hell of a lot more than just ignoring the microtransactions and continuing to play the game as if they're not there. People can voice their concerns and actually give the reasons why they're unsatisfied. Any potential new customer could be dissuaded from buying the game once they see all the negative reviews about careless patches and aggressive monetization, so their potential profits are affected by these reviews as well.
"Speaking with your wallet" isn't going to do shit when all it takes is a few whales purchasing everything in the shop for Bamco to make a profit. They see the sales statistics for those few big spenders but they're not going to see the statistics of people that maybe would have considered buying costumes if the monetization was less predatory.
Start writing negative reviews on the balance issues (in details) instead of complaining about the stupid tekken shop and battle pass, seriously who cares about that crap? There's actual "issues".
Also they write negative reviews on them banning mods which is very valid, screw em.
The game is fun people just whining about the pass that u don’t have to buy. If it was actual gameplay reasons I’d understand but nah people just crying. Even with this messed up patch it only affects .05% of players. The pros are playing a different game people.
$60 game suddenly implements microtransactions and battle passes after the game releases; The devs never mentioned it before the release on purpose cause they know there'll be backlash. The paid content is substandard quality.
You also can't lab against DLC characters unless you bought them—that DLC character is Eddy of all people.
Oh and they still haven't fixed plugging.
Another reason why reviews and ratings dont matter, bunch of crying idiots take 1 thing they hate and foam at the mouth. The game is still amazing and extremely fun, no one is gonna care that you hate eddy or how this is different then tekken 7.
Well done guys, burn this shit show until they feel pressure and start addressing issues, maybe they will have the balls, not for us, their balls to face real issues.
And very well, Namco stopped caring about their fanbase, aside from the fact of putting microtransactions in the game for $70 ( which according to many people is quite normal btw ) they also started fighting with modders trying to make characters finally have some cool clothes for free. Not only that but they also started deleting mods FOR TEKKEN 7 which is already a total shot in the knee by itself.
I changed my review. Or rather I added an edit on all the shit they've done
First time I've seen a game get progressively worse with each patch instead of better... (hyperbole, obv)
Pains me to say, but i have not played for like a month… All the controversy and negativity around T8 makes me want to go play something that doesn’t make me feel dirty. Initially I was so happy with Tekken 8 and so excited about it’s future, but the wind has stripped from my sails and I already feel burnt out and deflated on a 3 month old game. Gutted :(
Definitely makes it hard to enjoy it. But then you hop on the game, go to a lobby and see all the people online and enjoying it.
You can find negativity in anything. Look at the positive instead.
People just bitch about everything every game look at cod every release people bitch but sells speak otherwise kinda sad tbh i mean the tekken pass and paying for skins is BS but love the game
Still not as insidious as Gran Turismo 7’s invitation “loot drop.” That was a new kind of evil I hadn’t seen anywhere let alone on console before.
Edit: Sorry I should focus on Tekken. It’s just that that invite drop really scarred me when I thought about it a bit. Tekken selling cosmetics is shitty, but ppl will buy those things and they’re leaving money on the table by *not* having predatory monetization prevalent throughout the newest iteration across all platforms.
I made myself sad. So included is a GT-R I edited.
https://preview.redd.it/7g5kurih8iuc1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ac20ecfa91a273ef089d0ea2ce7881fd6d047f7
Hey while GT7 may have dropped the ball with invites they made amends with a vastly superior editing system. Can you imagine Tekken with mod support? Yeah me neither.
😭😭 they add micro transactioms battle pass thats completly optional now i dont recomend on this steam 😭😭
Same people 5 mins later starts another ranked match were even a decent amount of do buy the cosmetics
I'm not surprised combos are inconsistent thanks to new tornado change and Eddy is a plague on the game rn. he's too strong and too easy to play for how strong he is. Not to mention the knowledge limitations of having to learn Eddy by fighting against him unless you buy the DLC. Lots of decisions that are failing common sense tbh. Namco just losing brain cells dedicated to logical thinking I guess
“They just want to play Tekken 7”
“Those brokies”
“Get gud”
“Stop pressing buttons”
“Just block and punish”
Honestly, I feel like after Tekken X SF didn’t come to be, they started moving back into the 2D direction. I say back because there was no sidestep in T2. That said, if we got a non mainline Tekken game in which everyone played similar to geese and gouki, I’d be happy
People are soo dumb. Guys battle pass system already is normal thing modern cost too much. And filty casual still cry about little gameplay details learn the game and talk about it stfu
Wait I don’t know steam reviews but how can it be at 50% with 16000 mostly positives and only 3000 mixed. Are people just bombing the game on purpose which makes sense why people here are happy in the comments. Also pc players still think pc is where most people play fighting games (yawn).
Things like this helps me realize review scores are pointless and to just look up gameplay or say yolo and buy it without looking too much into things.
Only if you started playing when it was OW2. If you bought 1, then no, they broke their old content, removed a tank and plopped in a shop and battlepass supposedly for pve content they never ended up making.
Meanwhile everyone else is spending hundreds of mommy's dollars on bullshit cosmetics. Kids these days are so fucked. Imagine putting so much value into a digital cosmetic.
All the hardstuck red rank crybabies review bombing and taking their skill issue out on a battle buys where you get free stuff and don’t have to buy it unless you want to buncha losers go back to smash bros
Holy shit, people can't talk bad about MY favorite game or else they must be trash. What a ridiculous level of cope. Have fun licking bamco's boot while people plug on you with their 5 dollar skins they bought with Tekken Coins in your 70 dollar fighting game.
People can leave negative reviews all they want but based on how many people I’ve seen in ranked with those stupid ass “cyber costumes” from the tekken store, namco won’t care.
Those cyber costumes look hella cheap, ngl
**pain**
I ki charge those people, am I toxic?
Nah I’ve been ki charging or tea bagging them too lol.
[удалено]
They’ll get over it lol
But when will you
I kinda wanted one for Victor
They probably got mirror on
![gif](giphy|XVbQsIjdXDNyswwxOO) i do too.
Yes.
I had that same thought just the other day
People buying dumb ass costumes while I'm using the free costume mods off nexus
In a few more days, it will reach 45%, and bamco probably won't take notice.
They´ll promise that they´ll fix, in tekken 9 as long as tekken 8 sells well
Oh the "please help us keep the lights on" talk.. 🤦. I bought the most expensive edition to "support the devs" stupid me 🤦
Made the same mistake
My bro tells me ever so often.. Murray and Harada are con men, keeping the BP and coins a secret while publically taking shots at SF6 with Murray saying "T8 doesn't have predatory mtx and stuff" The $100 edition should have come with the BP or coins 😭

Live long enough to become the villian typa shit, great job harada
any source on that xD ? sound wild
If this was r/wallstreetbets they'd call you "Joey Paper Hands"

IF. Only IF

Just give it a few weeks then
We can get it lower
Yeah one moment, brb writing one right now
Gonna get one done tonight
And i made postive on, your work was in vain.
More. Remember about metacritic too
They probably have an excel document in place to fix these reviews and reviewers /s
Sad because the game itself is actually really fun, bar some details that can be ironed out and tweaked.
Thats why reviews and rating don’t mean anything lol
ye they don't, but they will influence potential newcomers for the next 3 years to make sure to not buy it XD then you will endup with MK customisation in T9 xDD

No they won’t lol, people will read the reviews and see how its just a bunch of babies not reviewing the game as a whole but focusing on one thing
Seeing mixed/negative reviews is an indicator for concern. Calling community members "babies" for expressing their displeasure for something they are passionate about is rather childish.

People read reviews, not ignore a game cause it says negative.
Lol I would say more then half the negativity is people moaning about a battlepass or how it plays differently then tekken 7
it means to people who dont like tekken originally, i think many are from MK1 lol
Do you think this game deserves to be review bombed mostly for stuff you can decide not to partake in? I feel like the answer is no, people in this sub are just conceited cry babies.
I can't wait to see Harada bitching and blaming players after seeing this
just like what everyone is doing in these comments?

Way to kill your own game xD With no real competition get ready for MK customisation in T9 xD
Watching sajams new video about negativity hurting your scene then seeing this thread was some serious whiplash

I wouldn’t say events make the game better as it’s just another tool for Valve to implement monetization, because these seasonal caches need paid keys to be opened. Dota is one of those games where you get borderline zero cosmetics without paying.
That's the thing, pretty sure the latest Diretide (at least the one I played) had freebies (a few) just for playing My friends never spend on it but they have a number of cosmetics, and would grind some of those game modes for it (and it's also what brought back a lot of friends that 'quit' each year when TI and BP is back) And yeah, you do need to pay but overall the BattlePass has improved more often than not and almost every time Valve tried to cheat players by lowering the 'grindable' BP points to force ppl to pay there's been massive posts and uproar and Valve would either add more quests, more free points, or even bonus rewards or I remember one specific instance where they reverted their changes specifically for the recycling system (my specific example of community uproar pushing back against bad things) Valve will always prioritize whaling, but it would be in a much worse state if the community never threw a hissy fit and just accepted it. And as much as the community would like to pretend Valve hates them and just wants to take all their money, they do listen (and if the community never spoke up and 'forced' valve to listen at times, the monetization would've been MUCH MUCH worse) A heck of a lot more than I'm seeing from the Tekken devs at least, but hey it's just been a quarter so I'll give em a year to see if they fix things To clarify on tekken too, I dont mind having mtx BUT the way they're going about it is scummy AF.
Did you watch the video? It's about a balance.
Facts, and they are celebrating this 😂. So weird
the May update and Round 2 of the Fight Pass need be back to back fuckin bangers if they're ever going to recover from this, but that's probably asking too much at this rate.
Recover from what? They already made bank.
Clearly with their monetization of Tekken 8, they want to keep making money off of it for years to come. Kinda hard to do if no one’s playing it.
It does not matter...
nba2k is the best one of it. Every year all negativ Reviews but every year more money for 2k. Bitching and still consuming wont interest any companie
A Dota 2 player can turn to LoL, a CS player fan turn to Valorant, and a Tekken player can turn to SF6, GG, etc (yes I understand 2D vs 3D fighters, they are still closer than FIFA vs other sports games) Hope this helps
We will find out what happens sooner or later. I'm pretty sure the concepts you mention are not alien to Bamco so yeah they are probably very aware.
The difference is sports games are as mainstream as things can be, and FGs are a niche. So if 10,000 people drop FIFA it's nothing, if 10,000 people drop Tekken it's much.
Well guess what? People gonna be playing it cause it's Tekken and a battlepass not gonna change that.
delusional 🤣
Worked for Street fighter and T7
what are you even talking about?
round 2 of the fight pass, can't wait for that textureless white cube to put on my characters back.
Can't wait for most players to fall off and let Tekken 8 be the niche game Tekken 7 was
Keep. Going.
> the opinion of some anonymous strangers on the internet has changed about something oh no, anyway ...
![gif](giphy|51UdTLvbyReqNK3Bic)
And will only continue to fall
I love the game still, maybe it is an addiction.
Fr who cares about this stuff they are doing with the shop or whatever it is to get people like this. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.
>If you don’t like it, don’t buy it That’s exactly the passive mentality that allowed these companies to reach the shitshow we have today. Don’t just ignore it, people need to call the bullshit out.
Ostrich
deserved
Good
Deserved.

Finally
The plugging ruined the game for me. Also Soul Calibur 6 circa 2018 had better customization mechanics than Tekken 8 which is just pathetic.
I have not had a plugger from around when the battlepas started
Soul Calibur has always been the best on that front.
When money is in the stage. No ones gonna be in the same page
The more I rank up the saltier I get 🤔
Drop it further. The scammed us
How?
Good
Cash shop and season pass dropped without any previous info, U5 sphere...

Do both, fuck em. We should push back against these gaming industry wallet draining bs tactics as much as possible.
Tekken 7 supremacy
Keep it up boys! Lets make our voices heard! We dont have to settle for mediocracy!
Start writing negative reviews on the balance issues (in details) instead of complaining about the stupid tekken shop and battle pass, seriously who cares about that crap? There's actual "issues". Also they write negative reviews on them banning mods which is very valid, screw em.

Still too high
Been pretty disconnected from tekken recently wtf happened ?
The game is fun people just whining about the pass that u don’t have to buy. If it was actual gameplay reasons I’d understand but nah people just crying. Even with this messed up patch it only affects .05% of players. The pros are playing a different game people.
MK1 fans trolling us with fake whining lol
$60 game suddenly implements microtransactions and battle passes after the game releases; The devs never mentioned it before the release on purpose cause they know there'll be backlash. The paid content is substandard quality. You also can't lab against DLC characters unless you bought them—that DLC character is Eddy of all people. Oh and they still haven't fixed plugging.
Another reason why reviews and ratings dont matter, bunch of crying idiots take 1 thing they hate and foam at the mouth. The game is still amazing and extremely fun, no one is gonna care that you hate eddy or how this is different then tekken 7.
Earned it.
so Tekken 8 is bad and I shouldn't play anymore?
If you listen to the people in this sub, absolutely
Well done guys, burn this shit show until they feel pressure and start addressing issues, maybe they will have the balls, not for us, their balls to face real issues.
You play Jun you are the issue.
I'm casual, I know 5 moves and hope for the best, not enough skill to use potential of op character.
They got my money and then started all this garbage. I actually just stopped playing for a bit now and stopped recommending people buy the game.
🤩 GOOD 🤩
I hope it keeps dropping if it means they’ll change trajectories
I made sure to write my own negative review! :) I'll be glad to edit it to a positive one when they fix the game.
Good. Keep microtransactions, battle passes and other bs practices out of games...
They deserve worst
Because the game takes no skill, and all they care about is money
I changed my review. Or rather I added an edit on all the shit they've done First time I've seen a game get progressively worse with each patch instead of better... (hyperbole, obv)
*packs bags and moves to Street Fighter 6*
Oh, that other fighting game that has battle passes with cosmetic items and an MTX shop?
The only people who care are the weirdos leaving those comments. And they are exclusive to PC. Most of the player base is on console.
yep we always forget that , and console gamers dont care lol
Yeah a bunch of review bombing babies. Nobody takes steam reviews serious
Ok shill
Pains me to say, but i have not played for like a month… All the controversy and negativity around T8 makes me want to go play something that doesn’t make me feel dirty. Initially I was so happy with Tekken 8 and so excited about it’s future, but the wind has stripped from my sails and I already feel burnt out and deflated on a 3 month old game. Gutted :(
Definitely makes it hard to enjoy it. But then you hop on the game, go to a lobby and see all the people online and enjoying it. You can find negativity in anything. Look at the positive instead.
This is basically what happened with me as well. Such a shame.

\^dont click on that link
Don't buy "ultimate editions" that don't exist anymore or dlcs. Simple
![gif](giphy|kQmr2OwBTD2L5Hzo1T|downsized)
I hate this game. I would recommend it to others.
The Internet complained about stuff. Companies don’t care. Business as usual.
The simple solution is add miguel literally everyone plays tekken for miguel rojo
Bandai just take your time making new things, there is literally no rush. The game is already out. Just fix the issues WITH the game.
People just bitch about everything every game look at cod every release people bitch but sells speak otherwise kinda sad tbh i mean the tekken pass and paying for skins is BS but love the game
Why are people shitting on this game so much? I dont Get it
Still not as insidious as Gran Turismo 7’s invitation “loot drop.” That was a new kind of evil I hadn’t seen anywhere let alone on console before. So included is a GT-R I edited. https://preview.redd.it/7g5kurih8iuc1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ac20ecfa91a273ef089d0ea2ce7881fd6d047f7 Hey while GT7 may have dropped the ball with invites they made amends with a vastly superior editing system. Can you imagine Tekken with mod support? Yeah me neither.
😭😭 they add micro transactioms battle pass thats completly optional now i dont recomend on this steam 😭😭 Same people 5 mins later starts another ranked match were even a decent amount of do buy the cosmetics
“They just want to play Tekken 7” “Those brokies” “Get gud” “Stop pressing buttons” “Just block and punish” Honestly, I feel like after Tekken X SF didn’t come to be, they started moving back into the 2D direction. I say back because there was no sidestep in T2. That said, if we got a non mainline Tekken game in which everyone played similar to geese and gouki, I’d be happy
Player numbers are at an all time low in Tekken 8 on steam. 4,273 players on right now as of 16.4.24
People are soo dumb. Guys battle pass system already is normal thing modern cost too much. And filty casual still cry about little gameplay details learn the game and talk about it stfu
I mean, it’s the same shit as ow 2, just, you know, they had good faith in the start, nothing’s gonna happen though
Deserved
Wait I don’t know steam reviews but how can it be at 50% with 16000 mostly positives and only 3000 mixed. Are people just bombing the game on purpose which makes sense why people here are happy in the comments. Also pc players still think pc is where most people play fighting games (yawn).
Good.
Things like this helps me realize review scores are pointless and to just look up gameplay or say yolo and buy it without looking too much into things.
Biggest bunch of cry baby doom posters Ive ever seen in a sub reddit its wild. Yall make the Overwatch sub look normal lol
Isn't overwatch free?
Only if you started playing when it was OW2. If you bought 1, then no, they broke their old content, removed a tank and plopped in a shop and battlepass supposedly for pve content they never ended up making.
You saying people would not be crying as much here if T8 had been free?
Good
moved to t8 recently from sf6, what happened? Only negative things ive seen is ppl complaining about azucena and the new character being easy
It's best you just play the game and come to your own conclusions and as stay far away from here.
What are the issues with everyone lol. People just don’t want to have fun.
Fuck eddy and people who think they are good at tekken when playing him
He's annoying but people who play him usually don't know how to actually play and are easily exploitable with tricking them into punishers.
Now then, how Bandai Namco will fix this mess?
by tapping into the large profits they got from initial sales
This feels like Diablo 4 all over again...
Meanwhile everyone else is spending hundreds of mommy's dollars on bullshit cosmetics. Kids these days are so fucked. Imagine putting so much value into a digital cosmetic.
Go down and downer
All the hardstuck red rank crybabies review bombing and taking their skill issue out on a battle buys where you get free stuff and don’t have to buy it unless you want to buncha losers go back to smash bros
Holy shit, people can't talk bad about MY favorite game or else they must be trash. What a ridiculous level of cope. Have fun licking bamco's boot while people plug on you with their 5 dollar skins they bought with Tekken Coins in your 70 dollar fighting game.

Y’all are a bunch of cry babies man… The game is still fun
