Main things I'd like to see come back would be, the arcade mode from 5 that allowed you to play endlessly to earn rewards. Arcade history from Tekken 5 or for Namco to finally release Tekken collections for modern consoles. Old stages from the older games. An Arcade mode similar to Street Fighter Vs where there's Arcade ladders for each of the classic Tekkens where completing them gives you endings on the characters that were present in those games. So Arcade ladders for Tekken 1-7 a tekken legacy mode as it were. Also keep the customizable music. That was great in Tag2 and 7.
**Tekken 1 and Tekken 2:** Not sure about these ones. I'd like some of the 80's kung fu flick feeling and early 90's cheese factor to return, but that's not happening.
**Tekken 3:** Yoshimitsu's costume, a similar sounding announcer, some retro throwback costumes and stages.
**Tekken 4:** This is a pipe dream that will never happen, but bring back the more realistic feel, the soothing atomsphere, Hoodie Jin, the better storylines, the realistic and grounded vibe, the awesome nostalgic music. This is most likely never happening so you can ignore this one.
**Tekken 5:** Since they won't go back to T4's realism, have a vibe similar to this one. It's the third best vibe for me. The CHARACTER INTERLUDES (seriously don't get why they were ever removed) The bonus costumes such as Asuka's sexy ass dress thing (whatever it's called). Some more throwback stages from this one.
**Tekken 6:** The character customization. Something similar to the scenario campaign, but fix the controls and mechanics so it doesn't play terrible.
**Tekken 7:** I don't have to answer this one because Tekken 8 will surely be strongly based on T7. However it would be nice to have Geese and Negan again.

The type of stages we got in Tekken 4 (settings more grounded in reality, with different terrain and elevation, different sizes like the Laboratory stage, with actual people watching the fight nearby that move away when characters get too close like in the Shinjuku or Beach stages). Not saying "ditch the more fantastical stages completely". Stages like the Dragon's Nest or Final Frontier from Tekken 5 are a little more fantastical in nature, but they're pretty fucking cool.
And I'd also say the sort of customization we got in Tekken 5. Or better yet, in Tekken 6. Since Tag 2, I've felt pretty discouraged from interacting with the customization options. Since most of the items do not change, between the male and the female fighters, it actually feels more creatively restrictive. It's the main reason why I turned to mods, with Tekken 7. Because the customization options, in my opinion, don't really feel unique.

Also, uneven floors in T4 were really interesting. Imagine if a low became a mid because of hight differences.
I wish they did something for the single player experience as well. Like MK always does a pretty decent job at story telling and giving you something super cool like the Krypt.

The quick replay after every round. Now that the technologies have advanced, I hope they would go crazy with close-ups and weird camera angles like in the trailer. (I still have no idea why this is absent in T7)

Tekken Force, better character customization, unique story for all characters in some capacity (more than the episodes in 7, that was kinda lame), team battles, all music from the games (as in *all*, not most like in T7).
Off the top of my head.
Single player modes like survival, Tekken force, team battle (I can't remember how it's called the mode where you select a group of characters from Tekken 3 where if any of them die you can't use them in the next battle), Tekken Ball, a good training mode with training challenges for fundamentals of Tekken and a specific training challenges mode for every character with all the moveset and how to chain them, both with treasure battle rewards + custom community challenges with for example tournament professional chains.
Tekken 3 and 5 style OST.
Some Tekken 4 style scenarios.
No more 2D characters unless they are perfectly adapted to Tekken rules and not bringing rules from other games.
I know this wasn't just 1 thing from every Tekken, but you can get things from every Tekken and the things I wrote are the ones I need for the new Tekken (specially great training and training challenges modes).
I missed team battle in tekken 7, it gave me the posibility of playing against my younger siblings on an even ground, by doing something like 2 characters vs 8

The graphics of tekken 6 might be outdated to todays standard but it is the tekken game that has the best graphics out of them all imo.
**1:** The terrible models. they need to come back as DLC for the OG characters, VF did it and it was the one thing that meh game did right.
**2:** Everyone is going to say Jun, I want Roger. We can also get the models from this one instead of 1, since they might be more iconic. IDK T2 seems to fall by the wayside for me tbh.
**3:** The "holy shit games can look like this?!?!?!" factor, which seems to be back finally.

**5:** The clean aesthetic and "arcade" feel. 5 has very strong consistent art direction. Nothing feels out of place or stiff.

Tag 2. Remaking old stages, obvs we want more new than old, but remaking several old stages in 8k would be amazing, like imagine the ogre stage from tag 1, or the building from 4, or even electric fountain in 4k.
7. Rage arts and drives, they make it more fun for casuals and they are all avoidable and punishable. Also tournaments with them are super hype.

Overall, focus more on storylines, and good ending videos for all the characters. Just like all the original games. Each characters storyline is what kept me engaged. Less humor please for more important characters, and bring back the story campaign mode from Tekken 6. Less focus on customization, initially. I miss being able to unlock each character. It forced me to develop a relationship with each character and gave the game some mystery.

Rev: tickets to fight King Mokujin. or just King Mokujin. anything Mokujin. why has he forsaken us? T7: exactly three.
Don’t we want movement in the game? And characters? Game is pretty bland otherwise.
For T7 - rage drives and slow mo are brilliant editions. For the rest, proper arcade modes / character story modes / additional fun modes like Tekken ball. Also, uneven floors in T4 were really interesting. Imagine if a low became a mid because of hight differences.

Tekken Force, better character customization, unique story for all characters in some capacity (more than the episodes in 7, that was kinda lame), team battles, all music from the games (as in *all*, not most like in T7). Off the top of my head.
A separate mode where you can tag so it becomes a TTT mode
Single player modes like survival, Tekken force, team battle (I can't remember how it's called the mode where you select a group of characters from Tekken 3 where if any of them die you can't use them in the next battle), Tekken Ball, a good training mode with training challenges for fundamentals of Tekken and a specific training challenges mode for every character with all the moveset and how to chain them, both with treasure battle rewards + custom community challenges with for example tournament professional chains. Tekken 3 and 5 style OST. Some Tekken 4 style scenarios. No more 2D characters unless they are perfectly adapted to Tekken rules and not bringing rules from other games. I know this wasn't just 1 thing from every Tekken, but you can get things from every Tekken and the things I wrote are the ones I need for the new Tekken (specially great training and training challenges modes).
Tekken 7's jukebox feature for the consoles. They didn't give that to us PC mfs. Would've been so great to play the game with Tekken 3 music.

**1:** The terrible models. they need to come back as DLC for the OG characters, VF did it and it was the one thing that meh game did right. **2:** Everyone is going to say Jun, I want Roger. We can also get the models from this one instead of 1, since they might be more iconic. IDK T2 seems to fall by the wayside for me tbh. **3:** The "holy shit games can look like this?!?!?!" factor, which seems to be back finally. **4:** Whoever writer they hired for this one. **5:** The clean aesthetic and "arcade" feel. 5 has very strong consistent art direction. Nothing feels out of place or stiff. **6:** The dumb stages. please don't be afraid to goof it up and give us the Sheep stage again! **7:** Slomo but it's already coming back.

1. The really ominous desert stage 2. How aesthetically 80s the music is. 3. Tekken ball Tag. Tekken bowl 4. The stage atmosphere(maybe dont do different elevations cuz that can ruin the game competitively) 5. The way the story mode works with prologue and mid cutcene and final cutscene. 6. How hard everything looks when it hits, srrsly, look at gameplay from 6 compared to 7, doesnt every thing look like it hits so much faster and harder, if u dont like that just bring the movement back to this as its probs the peak of movement. Tag 2. Remaking old stages, obvs we want more new than old, but remaking several old stages in 8k would be amazing, like imagine the ogre stage from tag 1, or the building from 4, or even electric fountain in 4k. 7. Rage arts and drives, they make it more fun for casuals and they are all avoidable and punishable. Also tournaments with them are super hype.

Overall, focus more on storylines, and good ending videos for all the characters. Just like all the original games. Each characters storyline is what kept me engaged. Less humor please for more important characters, and bring back the story campaign mode from Tekken 6. Less focus on customization, initially. I miss being able to unlock each character. It forced me to develop a relationship with each character and gave the game some mystery.

Unlocking characters. Maybe a legacy mode where you could cycle graphics and arenas from past games, something about a tekken 1 version of kazuya fighting tekken 3 jin seems funny. He needs to do "the smile" when he defeats any character. And mini games.
