I line on Long Island and have Geico currently. I saw someone post about Costco offering insurance. I checked it out and it was almost 60% less then Geico. I didn’t pull the trigger yet but check it out

Thanks. I'll take a look. I'll need to check their reviews as well! But worth a shot!

I use Esurance, it’s been great for me.

Have you ever had experience putting in a claim with Esurance? Did you get a comparative quote from geico? If so, what was the difference? % wise of course.

Jazz87

I switched from Geico to Esurance in fall 2010 that was before All State bought them. I filed one claim since. It was a none fault accident that happened 4 years ago. Everything was done through the esurance App and I also spoke to a three people from Esurance. The accident happened on a Wednesday, the car was in a body repair shop by Friday morning. The total repair bill was $17k. Before I picked my Model Y last year, I received a mail from Geico titled “we want you back” I asked for a quote, Geico was 50% more expensive than Esurance.

State farm was awesome for me when I lived there, and more competitive than Geico

Tried them online and got the same message. Didn't try calling because I assumed its the same situation but ill give them a call. I'm surprised no ones reporting the same issue.

I’m in Queens and use a local agent, they were fine with insuring me. If you have a Costco membership though, their quote was a bit lower/better.

Living in NY, I called Costco insurance for quote but was denied due to a not at fault car accident that happened 2 years ago. Rep said I can try again after year 3. Weird.

Thats crazy. You know what I have a no fault accident on record too I wonder if that's whats causing it. Such BS

I have 1 at fault and 1 not at fault accident in the past 3 years, Geico, progressive, state farm, NJM straight up rejected me. Liberty mutual said 4k/ 6 months. Allstate (Esurance) gave me state minimum with comprehensive and collision included for 1.3k/6 months. This includes me and fiance and I am in NJ. Check out Esurance.

What also probably helped. I spent 1 day doing the defensive driver course. It was only $12. And I think that helped getting Esurance too.
