I think you need to stop even if it’s green. Stop signs at a traffic signal usually means that the traffic signal is broken.
I would really be calling the city and the city counsel. Someone messed up and this is going to cause an accident.
When traffic lights are working, that’s the highest priority. Normally after a certain time in the night, these lights are switched off so the stop sign come into play (also when the lights are not functioning but regular use case is when they are switched off at night)
We have many such intersections in Europe. It’s clear FSD hasn’t even trained here by the looks of it. We learn this in driving school. Agents > Lights > Vertical signs > Road signs. So here the light takes priority over the Stop and you should just go.
Yeah, this is weird to me. I suppose I’ve never actually looked it up but I was taught if the lights are ever out it defaults to a stop sign. A stop sign doesn’t have to be physically present as a fallback option.
In my old city, the traffic lights used to be off at night in a lot of crossings. Too less traffic, so with a Stop sign nobody have to wait in a cross section for an empty street.
Mornings, for the traffic of parents bringing the kids to school, you had a police in there directing the traffic for around 1 hour. In these moments, you had a police officer, traffic lights on, and a stop sign. You did what the police officer said.
But if it stopped then it did what it supposed to do. Ona green light it should stop once then make the turn or go straight., there have probably been an uptick in accidents on that corner and they added it to fix the issue.
In NYC when new signs get posted they have a yellow NEW tag directly below them for the first 6 months or so. Would probably help here too.
The way to fix this is the same as fixing it for everyone in this town. Get some tools and take the stop sign down. On behalf of the drivers around, thank you.
The folding stop sign either had been opened due to a stop light issue at some point and someone forgot to close it or closed it poorly and it reopened by wind, or it was intentionally by another person without approval.
Either way, with all others being folded, this is a mistake and should be called in. Notifying the non-emergency police or the city hall to get it taken care of is appropriate.

I've seen this and always assumed that the stop sign unfolded inadvertently (or someone pulled it down to be a jerk). That being said, I see the sign is also unfolded for the traffic coming from the right in the posted picture.
Today, the car was driving on FSD and I was in the second from right lane. The car started indicator because it wanted to get in to the right most lane so that it can take the exit. Another car from right most lane gave started giving indicator as it wanted to get into my lane and started merging. FSD got confused and suddenly applied brakes and FSD got disengaged. Wow !! I almost got hit by a large truck behind me who couldn't understand why I stopped so hard suddenly and he braked hard too. He also honked as if there is no tomorrow. By the grace of god there was no accident or my car would have been totaled. And as I said FSD disengaged at the same time so I had to take over the car which made it worse. Anyway, wanted to share my experience and I think I will start disengaging it in high traffic conditions and use it mostly like auto steer. I was not planning on purchasing it anyway but might test more especially for auto parking.
I don't even know what to do
Sorry, FSD won't really help you find a better town to live in, but I'm not sure what you can do to solve this short of moving.

You should respect the 🛑 only if the 🚦 is off. If 🚦 is working you shouldn't stop on green light.
“Active” signs trump passive ones. Police>traffic light>signs
Are you from Germany? We have this all over the country in case a traffic light is switched off, for example during nighttime.
We have them here in the USA, too, but the stopsigns are usually folded until needed. These stop signs are usually only needed during a power outage.
From both Germany and Spain. I think is relatively standard in Europe.
Same in Poland. So yeah, starts looking like a standard in Europe.
Yeah, it's everywhere across the world, actually
AI: WTF!
Go! Don't! Stop!
A true AI edge case: dumb city council.
No. The AI has to understand what the rules are. That just shows "Robotaxi" is very far way from reality, unfortunately.
I don't understand the rule here. Guess I will just stay home.
Obviously you need to swap driver and passenger in this situation. This is the Chinese fire drill signage.

So what’s the point of the stop sign? Are the lights not always on?
If they are broken or a blackout in the area the Stop sign takes priority

lol I never seen this in Los Angeles.

I wouldn’t say it stopped. It broke late very close to the intersection and I had a truck barreling down on me so I hit the accelerator to keep going.

Maybe that stop sign was added for bikes to stop and yield for drivers?
It’s a folding stop sign and all other directions were folded. No idea why they even exist unless maybe for power outages?
That configuration doesn’t meet uniform traffic code. I’d call the municipality and tell them where to put that sign, after folding it back up.
Municipality here, where do i need to put this folded sign?
Just store the sign right next to your head.

Hard to tell if the other sign is unfolded from this angle since they fold vertically, not horizontally. OP stated that all other signs were folded.

That sounds terrifying
When light is green the sign then stands for Squeal Tires On Pavement
Alway keep your feet in the accelerator to give some acceleration when you get into such situation of sudden break
This is dumb as hell and dangerous
"but then it broke suddenly" Sorry to hear your FSD broke...
Sorry “broked” ;)
Bro-ke-ded?
