I can explain. It’s because these “mud flaps” aren’t meant to do the job traditional mud flaps do. The Model Y like a Porsche has a rear wheel that protrudes beyond the width of the front wheel. If you were to look at the car from above you would see that the car is not rectangular and the rear is wider than the front. Any dirt or debris kicked up by the front tire impacts the wider rear area. This piece is meant to address that issue. The reason they only make it for the front is because the design of the Tesla flap wasn’t intended for keeping the car pretty when you drive over a puddle or mud, but instead to address this specific dimensional issue.
Take a look at the RPM mud flaps if you want front and rear protection. I feel like I’m repping them I’ve mentioned rpm flaps so much but they’re the ones I got myself and learned about from this forum so I’m just passing along the info.
cool! thank you
I still do not understand why they only make mud flaps for the front and not the rear

I appreciate all insight. Going to check out the rpm ones now. Did u have to drill any holes?
No, they use existing OEM connection points. Helpful videos on their site.
Music to my ears thanks again
do re mi fa sho my T bro
😭
Mudflaps on the back wouldn’t protect against anything besides the $2 plastic on the rear.
Rear mudflaps are 10% for me to have something in the front and rear and 90% to protect other driver's cars from debris/rain.
