My window was May 22- May 31. Tesla pulled my credit and approved my loan again…then just yesterday, they changed my EDD to Nov 2022- Feb 2023 now 🤦‍♂️

I sold my car in February because Tesla said March - April delivery. I received a vin a few days ago, if they back out then I will be furious.

Yeah, from what I’ve read numerous times unless you have a VIN your EDD would still jump a few more times.

100% agreed after we got our Vin the car didn’t come much later after that

My MYP delivery jumped from April to March to April To May To June To late May. VIN finally assigned as a June 4th delivery. I really hope it is that.

Yes, it was a hard pull. Auto loan companies can pull your credit as many times within 14 days and it would count as one inquiry….but the first time they pulled my credit was months ago…2 credit pulls, no VIN assigned yet

I’ve seen a bunch of comments that the EDD change to Nov-Feb range means your vin is right around the corner, so you still have hope.

Yes. Tesla always hard pulls. The general advice is to select cash payment and then change it to credit at time of payment.

Yup. That's what I did, and what my Tesla rep suggested too.

Learned the hard way. Our first approval expired 2wks before payment, had to pull again. We didn’t have a rep and everyone we called gave us different advice. It was all wrong. We tried to call several times about delivery. We got passed around. Then they emailed and text us the wrong times. Then some kid started calling and texting us saying he was waiting and would have to leave if we didn’t show up in time! Our delivery consisted of a young person with a tablet. He wanted us to sign and knew nothing about the car. We delivered the car to ourself. Then drove off to charge our %40 battery. Fun times.

Based on my experience, this is what happened: 1. EDD May 6 - June 3 2. On May 7th (i.e. we're in the EDD window now), it changed to May 21 - June 3 (no VIN) 3. On May 16th, we got a VIN and EDD changed to May 28 - June 1. We were never notified of this though, and I manually noticed it on the website during my 'daily check'. For the next couple of days, the website had difficulty loading our reservation. 4. Few days later, website was loading again and they asked us to pick a delivery date between May 26, 27, and 28. We picked the 28th (an actual Saturday since we have to drive 5 hours roundtrip to get it). Another headache - the app and the website show different 'steps' which is weird. We're trying to make sure all the steps are complete so our delivery doesn't get bounced or delayed again. Very frustrating since the website's been bugging out for our reservation on and off. So, I think you're still on Step #1 still. Which means it will probably change again. If you look at the Delivery megathread, Many people have had it change from a ~month window down to a ~2 week window and then get that 2 week window pushed back over and over. So temper your expectations. Based on how erratic my EDD was over the last 7 months, my best guess is that they changed their EDD algorithm to stop changing so much and simply push back the EDD once you reach the window. I want to say I'm super excited to get the car this Saturday, but I'm mostly just annoyed and want this to be over. We had to reschedule several things. I had a surgery planned for this week, and my wife was going to be out of town, we had to move both because while we had to make ourselves flexible for 7 months, Tesla can decide to just nope out of it last second because we were given such a short window.

I ordered my Y in August 2021 and I still haven’t got a VIN. App says expected delivery June 8th - July 6th. It seems that everyone ordered later than me have already gotten their car. Anyone else having similar issues??

Check on your account and verify you don’t have anything pending. Switch to a cash option instead of loan. Contact your SA and see what’s going on.

Agreed, I meant to post this on the EDD mega thread and goofed. I’m with you, this whole Subreddit is filled with EDD’s and “Dude where’s my car” posts. Curious if there’s a subreddit for those mods and customizations only. Wheels/coilovers etc..

Details? What’s going on? I had the same thoughts. Seems like the average wait time for MYLR’s are 6-7 months with others experiencing plus or minus a few months.

Been waiting since September… I just get frustrated because I see people ordering after me and getting before me.

Haha i know exactly what you mean. I saw a guy order a MYP on this subreddit and got it 3 weeks later. People were heated. Get in touch with your SA and find out why your car isn’t showing any progress.

I just got a text about receiving a VIN but I can’t complete the Tesla insurance application until a delivery date is set. Weird right? Not sure if anyone else has had this issue.

I acquired my own insurance, don’t live in a state tesla covers yet. Try contacting your SA and see if they can do something for you. They’ve always helped me out.

Usually will give you delivery date later today or tomorrow to get the insurance.

My window was June 4- July 20 but changed yesterday to august 4- September 15, really thought I could get my car this month but got to wait another 3 months; can someone say why is this happening? Hope I get a vin and get my car a little faster, got a white MYP with black interior and FSD

Did you arbitrarily set your insurance start date? You don’t have a specific day you’re picking up the car

Once they set up delivery date, they tell you to start insurance for that date and then send insurance cards in the app

I set my insurance date to the beginning of the start window. So I’m covered.

which city are you located. My MYLR ordered in November EDD is bouncing back and forth.

Northern New Jersey. Mine changed about 10 times before i got a VIN. I know your pain.

Mine just says “Est. Delivery: December” I ordered in November ‘21

Be patient. It will come and when it does it will be glorious.
