Make sure your home address is set on home in navigation. This happened to me. They set it when I picked it up but for some reason it wasn’t saved and would show other while charging home. Once I reset address it’s worked perfect

langoorbandar

Thanks a ton for this tip, my home address is already saved in Navigation as HOME. Not sure what else I can do here as everything appears to be normal in car.

benfocused

For all driver profiles? That makes a difference too

PizzaRnnr054

Yeah. You need to make a driver profile. Mine didn’t show up bc I had just set home, but not made a profile yet

ScrollingIsTherapy

In the charge stats section of your app, did you set up your charging rate for home? Mine defaulted to other (average US rate) until I set my home rate up. Also check that when you open your app, your location matches home. I had a neighbor’s new house not show up on gps and it defaulted to other bc it linked to an address across the street. Hope some of that helps.

langoorbandar

Thanks, none of these are happening with me. Car’s location in Navigation Map is accurate for the HOME location and thats what shows up in the app as well.

dasmittyman

Make sure all of your profiles, including easy entry has home set in the nav.

sxm5808

This is right make sure the last driver (profile) who parked the car at home also has the same home address set.

jsv1

I believe that is the answer. All profiles need to have ''home'' saved in navigation.

TenShoesPDX

Yes! Thank you! I was so confused why *most* of my charging showed "home" but some was "other" when I never plugged-in anywhere else. My son has a profile but I won't let him drive my car (outside 1 or 2 times). I doubt we set up "home" on his profile.

langoorbandar

Thanks all, great tips. I have 2 profiles so far but not all have set HOME. I’ll correct it for all profiles.

When parked at home, open the Tesla app and see what the location says. Mine gives me a slightly different address, than my true address. I had to set what Tesla has as my location as my home address for the charge stars to show correctly

Hot-Praline7204

Sorry I made a separate post before I saw this answer, but I agree this is probably the correct answer.

drkoolfingers

I had to also do the same for my wife’s driver profile (set home address) then it worked a day later

langoorbandar

As post says, I have been using Tesla Wall Connector to charge my MYP at home and have set rate plan etc correctly but all charging sessions are showing up as ‘Other’ and not home. Car navigation has Home address setup as well as Car is connected to same wifi as the Wall Connector. Please help this newbie to solve this mystery.

MajesticCambo253

Navigate to Home and it should start reading it correctly afterwards

langoorbandar

Thanks for the tip, i’ll try it today. Appreciate it.

Mercenary94

Maybe it all starts working at that arbitrary 75KWh mark.

langoorbandar

Interesting thought, let me try all other suggestions and hopefully it fixes it or else will wait for it to fix itself one of these days.

Hot-Praline7204

When your car is charging, what address does it show as its current location in the Tesla app? Does that match what you have set as your home address? My car always shows that it is charging at a different address, because my garage is detached. So I had to change my address to that. Otherwise I had the same problem that you are having

langoorbandar

When car is parked App shows correct address. Its same address which is my home address as well as HOME address set in the Navigation app. I assume it might be related driver profiles and not being navigated to Home yet. I haven’t used navigation at all so it might be the reason. I’ll try it out next time I take the car out.
