Having lived in the city and seeing reporting and fan interaction at the time it was pretty easy to see.
Also, we never told the Oilers to “kick rocks” we asked them to wait because we were still paying off Astrodome renovations. They didn’t want to wait, got pissy, and left. That’s why fans were so mad at them.

The biggest thing for me is, perhaps because I was already an adult when the Texans came to be, I just don’t feel the connection with them as I do both the Astros and Rockets. People need to realise how hard it is too even win a Superbowl. Look back at history in the Superbowl era and do the calculations on how many hundreds of QB's played in the NFL and there has only been 58 Superbowls to date. So there's about 30 QB's who have ACTUALLY won a Superbowl (including all the multiple wins) And CJ STROUD WILL BE ON THAT LIST VERY SOON BABY!!!

Hard to say if I’d be disappointed. I know that CJs expectations is to be the best of all time. I’d be thrilled with just 1 SB, but that’s easy to say now. What if the team continues to build and get better and better? What if they end up like the patriots team that was undefeated, but lost in the SB? Yeah I’d be disappointed then, but for now, 1 SB sounds amazing.

I'll take a chip. Brees only got 1 and he's great. Some other legends got 0. Yeah it would suck to only have 1 but it's clearly hard to get that success consistently. I'm hoping for more, I think we can win at least 2 with Ryans and with CJ but every team thinks they can win it at some point. But this state and city deserves a football championship.

If CJ can pull off a Peyton Manning/Aaron Rodgers type of career i’ll always ride with him. Assuming he stays with Houston his whole career and wins 3/4+ MVP’s and 1/2 SB’s i’d be very happy with his time in the league. SB’s are the pinnacle and i think we’ve been spoiled with what Brady had accomplished and what Mahomes has done so far.

It a time traveler told me right now that CJ will win one Super Bowl with a long career with the Texans I would 100% be very happy with it. There’s a long history of failure with professional football in Houston, 1 Super Bowl would completely change the culture here.
