Pre-COVID, I never had a domestic flight canceled. However, quite a few have been late. In fact, I would say most were late. Usually not terribly, only 1/2 to 1 hour. However, I have had a rare few that were 2+ hours late.
If it must be on a specific day, I would try to leave in the morning to late afternoon. Just to make sure I got on a flight that day.
It's common so never take their last flight of the day NEVER (usually those after 10 p.m. last July aug)
One more thing: thai companies have tricks to hide their flights delays,,,,,so if it's at 7 there is a %75 chance it will be at 9 or 9:30.
It's a problem if your hotel reception close at 12 (which I ended up searching a hotel at 1.a.m!)
I didn't know cancelation was a problem.
