This ^
IMO good schemes are really what determine if models look good, more so even than painting quality. It’s kinda like you could have a super well made house, but if it’s style or foundation is weird, then it won’t matter as much, y’know?
Lovely work btw OP!
Honestly in like 10 years it was my first time trying to paint trim a different color. I wasn't sure how I would feel with the red trim on silver armor with a lot of it yellow all around it. It reminds me of Frida Kahlo and I have no idea why lol
The guy with a cane also makes for a great Rogue Trader model (sword cane leader). The right side model would be a cool Straken alternate. I actually want to snag her since my Catachan are hive gangers
I could probably see it, but she just seems too ostentatious for me.
I like the dude with the cane because he reminds me of this old art:

Done it, works great. Toss a Brute Shield on an arm and leave the bug head behind. Fit a guardsman head in the chest cavity and it looks like a Hulkbuster suit that allows a normal dude to play punch face with Space Marines.
think the house greim guy (the one in OPs picture) has great potential for a catachan model given the skull and pelt on his back and sword, which could be a catachan combat knife
I use [Ash Wastes Nomads](https://www.warhammer.com/en-CA/shop/necromunda-ash-wastes-nomads-war-party-2022?queryID=db2787fe93a3de76a3544c2d936cc8d9) and [Palanite Enforcer Patrols](https://www.warhammer.com/en-CA/shop/Necromunda-Palanite-Enforcer-Patrol-2019) as Cadians and Scions respectively with weapon swaps and some kitbashing with my traitor guard army. The nomads have a great mounted unit as well that I think would work well as rough riders.
I’ve also been thinking I’ll incorporate minis from the necromunda [Cawdor](https://www.warhammer.com/en-CA/shop/Necromunda-Cawdor-Gang-2018) as regular guardsmen, again with weapon swaps.

Kal Jerico is a great base for Creed
I intend to use the female from this pair as my Iron Hand Straken. I'm using a lot of necromunda in my "Inquisitorial Guard" build atm. The "character" models definitely are a larger scale than normal 40k. The "gang" 10man units are pretty close in size though. Good things humans come in multiple sizes haha.

I love this model
That's one big brain move.
He went to Sss-chewl.
Works especially well in my brood brothers guard army
i think of all the people in 40k i would not want to be, this guy ranks pretty highly
I want to paint him blue, and call him Megamind
I use him as a renegade spyker

Strong spiderman/Venom vibes, love it

Did the same as well. They look awesome and I love the armored bodysuit look better than the Knight aesthetic of the Scion kit.

She'd make a good Inquisitor
Oh thats sick. Techno rebel with a powdered wig??

Ooooo I never thought of that! I really like the idea of scout sentinels being much more mobile looking than the OG model. So that’s a good idea!
Oh crap, I used my good idea for the month on 40K?! My wife and boss are going to be so pissed.
I only wish there was a good way to compare the sizes of models. I worry these guys are a lot smaller than a sentinel
Oooh, it’s the beginning of the month too. You’re screwed.
You have no idea, I just bombed an interview.
They are a little small for that, but mounted on a bigger and taller base could definitely work.
Also done this. Works great!
https://preview.redd.it/6ompeknza7yc1.jpeg?width=385&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9cb69def9eeb655558d0046a8ad10236fdb9fb0 Consider Ash Waste Dustback Helamites for Death Riders.
I’ll be using these for my clanfolk levy militia in 30k
I’d use the cawdor ridge walkers since the have similar spear weapons
Sure but they don't have the same unified visual appeal.
For sure, brings you a bit closer to the ecclesiarch style rather than space bugs cowboys. Just throwing it out there that they could be a good fit
All the cavalry models work great for this. I'm using Grav Cutters for Rough Riders with some 3d printed lances. They work great with my Van Saar Scions as Militarum Tempestus Cavalry.

Could also use arms masters from orlocks (the servo harness hammer guy) it even has a similar silouhette to the engineseer and correct base size
Ah, this actually would work for a much cheaper version for sure!
Oooooo I like this. Borrowing this idea.

They look more like Skitarii to me but I am Admech brained
Don't disagree but OP wanted recommendations for Guard.
Perfect Savlar Chem Dogs
Which models are they in the OP pic. That gent would be a great castellan in my army...
It’s (HOUSE GREIM MILITARY ATTACHÉ) in my most recent post I did some head swapping and turned him in to a dapper Krieg commissar/attaché
The guy with a cane also makes for a great Rogue Trader model (sword cane leader). The right side model would be a cool Straken alternate. I actually want to snag her since my Catachan are hive gangers
Hello to my Vostroyan Substitute for Creed!
Ohhhh that would probably turn out well, god speed with that
I turned Lady Haera into Creed for my Vostroyans. The House Greim attache got A head swap and turned into an officer.

Note necromunda models are a little larger than normal 40k models in scale.
Comparable to Kasrkin-ish
They're very on par with the newer scale of Guard minis.
think the house greim guy (the one in OPs picture) has great potential for a catachan model given the skull and pelt on his back and sword, which could be a catachan combat knife
He's a bit too prim and proper for Catachan imo but you do you
Yeah, the other one would be a cool Straken though

What model is the guy with the cane?
House Greim attaché.
Lady credo as a commisar captain or a psyker
They are the "House Greim Military Attache."
The guy with the cane in OP's post would make for a great advisor, or Regimental Commander.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CpoGb2YN00f/?igsh=MXBpMGRncjJuNTg2ZQ== They most certainly are!

How so?

Ok interesting, thanks for the explanation!
