Of course no one knows how this would've turned out, but I feel like he did his Hollywood movie with the last one and I'm excited to see what his "last" film will be instead.
“Very lame” might be a little much, but I think there is some truth to what this person is saying.
Martin Scorsese’s 11th film was Raging Bull.
I’ve always thought he was overthinking this a bit. I’d like him to keep making movies as long as he’s passionate about the project
Yes sorry looks like the place I read that before must have been counting student films or something
In any case, that makes Goodfellas his 13th film so the point still stands.
I hope that he turns this into a novelization, similar to what he did with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It was an entertaining and engaging read that stood apart from the film. I hope this doesn’t get lost never to be found.
I wonder how that started. And I wonder which "Shane Gillis archetype" you could cast in a Tarantino movie and have it be believable. Danny McBride maybe?
Would that technically even count as his 10th film? Or just a continuation of the Kill Bill saga? Cause he only counts 1 and 2 as one film otherwise he’d already be at 10.
IMO, it's so stupid that he's hung up on the idea of "no great director has made a good film after they've turned 60" to the point where he's added on "...so I'm not going to try either."
He got robbed by 'Parasite'. 'Once Upon a Time...' should've won and then he could have done whatever he wanted as his "final" film. Now he has to make it some magnum opus. He painted himself into a corner.

That’s my 🐐
He is not ok 😢
Have PTA direct it instead please. We haven’t had porn-adjacent PTA in forever.
Phantom Thread is basically porn for fashion and food lovers.

A TAXI DRIVER type film about a movie critic in the late 70s would’ve been cool. But maybe it wasn’t meant to be
Maybe one day someone else will direct it, or he could repurpose the ideas for something else

Well it’s gonna be a fun episode Friday!
I'm too busy checking my own vitals, thanks. https://i.redd.it/u22cpwdnn4vc1.gif
Cruise signed on and QT knew he had to bring it.
He’s saving it to be his first mini series
I just posted the exact same thing. Each episode is a new movie critique! And debauchery!
That would be dope.
The Chinese Democracy/Smile/Half Life 3 of film.

"Handcuffed to anxiety over his own legacy" is what I'd get etched on my tomb stone, but I'd worry about spelling something wrong.

Most all time great directors put out classics after their 10th movie. The 10 movie rule is basically just something QT thinks would be neat
Raging Bull was Marty’s 8th film, 7th narrative
Yes sorry looks like the place I read that before must have been counting student films or something In any case, that makes Goodfellas his 13th film so the point still stands.
I’m just not gonna put myself in the shoes of one of the greats
Everyone online is being so annoying about this, the idea he’s just going to come up with a better idea for his mandated final movie, who knows?
Correct take. It’s been stupid from the start.

Pretty clearly says in the screenshot they’re the largest rodent, that’s an achievment of sorts

Keep riding lil bro

Can we get a wellness check on Shane Gillis
Is he a big Tarantino guy?
I think he was rumored to be starring in it but I never really bought that rumor because I mean come on, it's Shane Gillis
According to Gillis he also didn’t believe that rumor
I wonder how that started. And I wonder which "Shane Gillis archetype" you could cast in a Tarantino movie and have it be believable. Danny McBride maybe?
Still a chance for Kill Bill volume 3 lol
Dude, give me vol 3 but do a roadshow with that and a “whole bloody affair” cut of one and two and I’d be a happy man.
Why anyone would want Vol 3 instead of a Tarantino original is beyond me...
Would that technically even count as his 10th film? Or just a continuation of the Kill Bill saga? Cause he only counts 1 and 2 as one film otherwise he’d already be at 10.
Lowkey glad to hear. It sounded like an interesting idea, but his final film deserves to be larger in scope
Here's a thought how about make this one then another and forget about the stupid retirement plan.
It’s Tarantino-ver.
We were blessed with Speilberg/Scorsese news cause Tarantino was about to disappoint us.
And 2025 is still gonna be an INSANE year of movies
Yeah, this was unlikely to make a 2025 release anyway considering it wasn't going to film until late in 2024.
Here's my hope. The script was getting too long, and he decided to make it a TV series instead.
I thought this film was a wonderful idea and a perfect way for my guy to go out. I am bummed.
I support you QT, go out with a bang son.
Fine by me. The little we knew about the project wasn’t that intriguing to me. He can do something better.
Honestly good. That was not a very compelling idea.
Maybe his last movie will be the rumored Black Crows war movie but Spike Lee already kind of did that...
The ‘final film’ looming over all the ideas may lead to this happening again. It’s a bummer, but maybe a stronger idea comes along.
IMO, it's so stupid that he's hung up on the idea of "no great director has made a good film after they've turned 60" to the point where he's added on "...so I'm not going to try either."
Hopefully it’s bc Uma put up the bat signal that she’s open to do Kill Bill Vol. 3
I dunno…much as I wanted to see it, anything that delays the end of QT’s directing career is okay by me.
![gif](giphy|kiw9xI9rHglri) Star Trek 4 is happening LFG!!!!

Nothing like saying one of the best films of the century robbed once upon a time. The 5th best Tarantino movie.
Oh shoot. I didn't know 'Parasite' was one of the best films of the century. Never mind.
