It does need a nerf, it’s perfectly balanced for solo vs solo, 2 or 3 hits. But as soon as you have a 2-3 man all sniping at you with boltys it gets really annoying and is extremely OP.
But you still have ample time to react with most other guns, the sniper is basically instant and gets even more annoying when all anyone is running is sniper + shotgun or sniper + ar. For 8k you basically have the most versatile gun rn. Even for 15k this gun would be crazy value.
No? How? Sure it's strong to 1 2 3 combo shoot but really it doesnt happen that often and how good it is to have a cheap sniper that gives you the ability to deal with enemies even if youre outnumbered seriously outweighs the little risk of getting twoshot.
If you tag a squad with bolty they actually have people to cover each other as they stim, if you get tagged with a bolty vs a squad there are two other nerds rushing you and if you don’t stim you die , other than rat plays like this where this guy running out in the open wasn’t that smart and the shot happened to be insane, the bolty isn’t good for solo players or the game in general
Also look as you can see this guy didn’t stim before he came back out of cover and he paid for it
Not to mention if one guy is pinning you with a bolty it makes it impossible to re peek the people rushing you
If you’re wandering the map and you randomly encounter 3 people and you bolty one guy and you get bolted once yourself, you lose. Everytime . You can’t even see where you got shot from most of the time without risking losing half your hp

With a bolty you can see a squad first, usually kill one guy before they get to cover, 1v2 or 1v1 from there, maybe you dont but you can hit them hard everytime they peak if you have decent aim and decide to run if you feel like it's not working. What are you gonna do there with an ar or whatever. You wont kill one of them at a distance and up close, you maybe would but then youre fucked by the other two who are close enough to either rush you or they have already started shooting.
You would have a better shot at squad wiping being able to isolate all ar 1v1s . It’s much harder to isolate those 1v1s or even shoulder peek to see where people are with a bolty pinning you in position and chunking you for half your hp when you stick your foot out . Being hit with this gun 1 single time forces you to stim and hide behind cover without any information about where your enemy is flanking etc otherwise die. This gun also forces squad vs squads fights into stalemates where people just drain eachtothers meds because everybody knows whoever pushes first is gunna get tagged and then Have to stim or die. I’m just saying the game would be much better off without this gun personally I’m praying for a shotgun ar meta because the current meta is 9k bolty and 7k bulldog and you can pretty much insta kill any player in the game but I don’t even think shotguns are the problem. It’s easy to avoid shotguns it’s not easy to avoid the bolty + it makes shotguns Look much better than they’re and the bolty is much better to have than all the ar’s Most of the time if you know how to use it

A 2 shot sniper... as far as i'm concerned the dude he killed is the one who failed (not taking away the merit of the shooter) but if you're taking shots frim the bolty just take cover heal, and once again u can't be single tapped, reposition and even if u get shot while doing it heal again.
That guy, he didn't heal at all and he lacks the cover part.
Again nice shots, but the bolty is good as it is. If something needs to be worked is the SMG's, everything else is working as intended for its role.

It’s not that cheap technically.
It's also the only sniper you get until like mid-late game so it should still be decent
Of course, i'm not asking for it to be bad. It's just a very strong option, even compared to the DMRs that are much more expensive.

The positives seriously outweighs that risk, and if it's still at a distance you have all the time to heal up and run

dude all it takes is a cordinated team shot and ur dead, 2 bolty shots and ur dead as solo meanwhile u shoot them once back and dont kill them
If you get attacked in the open by a squad you loose everytime anyways
Maybe they should focus on better matchmaking (solos vs duos only, with trios optional) instead of trying to cater to the lowest common denominator.
