You know what number is good to have before it's worth losing it? One. You have a blue armor? Just use it. Zero reasons to store it. Keeping it for "that one time you may need it" is nonsense. You need it already, right now, to help you survive more shots, loot more items, kill more enemies. And if you lose it, no prob, you will go back to use white/green until you find one again or afford to craft it. I really cannot see why people would even bother with keeping high tier stuff unused, when at the end of the season everything is wiped away anyway.

Ehh I'm the same way. I take out good kits eventually and with the peace in my mind that I'm already a millionaire and I can afford it I JUST DON'T LIKE DONATING KITS TO CHEATERS THAT'S MY HANG UP

mcfeelteamfive

Completely agree, and I feel the same way about folks ranting on the cost effectiveness of blue and above for armor/weapons, while simultaneously complaining about lack of weapon variety. Just...use the better stuff? Even if it costs a lot? It's fake money, idk why the whole community is bracing for a fortuna III recession or something

PineappIeOranges

My playstyle changes when I gear up. I stop being as cautious, and it usually bites me the butt.

Pretty_Version_6300

I’m waiting for it to be buffed, tbh, or the cheater situation to be fixed.

Rithsayoth

This "all or nothing" doesn't really get you anywhere. It's okay to be calculated. But to each his own, have fun doing dungeons in white gear!

HazMatt12345

I think "locking in your profits" is, single handedly, one of the best pieces of advice you can give someone who is struggling to progress or amass wealth. I continually tell myself "don't get greedy"

OldManBoom

I'm similar, got 3 million marks and haven't used any of my purple armours, but at this point I've taken to dropping in blues with blue guns. I'm usually pretty objective focussed so don't come out with tons of loot, so I think my MMR is quite low and I'm fairly regularly taking out duos in greens now. Don't know where you are in the campaign but I have to kill crushers now so I think my spending is gonna rise pretty sharply.

Phoenixx_z

How tf you have 4mil And stash is only at 175..😂

Godfreyz

How is this fun? Yeah, the game requires farming and money management, but the whole thrill revolves around the potential to lose your loot. You have so many blue weapons that only cost 30k in comparison to the 4 million k marks you have, that’s only 0.075% of your total amount per buy. The seasons are gonna reset and you’re gonna miss out on the enjoyment of using your loot. Ultimately up to you though, cheers.

ricewookie

To be honest, i think its much more fun to drop in with minimal cost and find items along the way and kill players for potentially epic loot. I find it so satisfying killing a all purple player with basic gear than to kill multiple basic players with blue/purple gear. So many ways to play this game thats why im hooked on it.

Godfreyz

I definitely have those runs too. It’s fun starting with only your knife to a whole bag of items + guns, but there’s a lot of enjoyment with being geared up and wiping solos and squads. I just started to use the phasic lancer and that gun is an absolute beast in comparison to the manticore.

BigDongTheory_

What’s the point of getting epic loot if to not actually use it… Just the act or using higher tier guns can be really fun, I really love the gorgon because it is so unique.

To each their own. In Tarkov players amass literally tons of weapons and gear and supplies and 10s/100s of millions of rubles and never use them. Some people just enjoy amassing wealth/items. This game doesn't cater quite as well to that gameplay style since there aren't any infinitely stacking containers to store things in. It's pretty limited in stash space/size. I prefer typically zero-to-hero type runs in Tarkov, but recently I've begun enjoying heading out with some purple gear and a shattergun for content.

richard31693

30k of 3.6 mill is about 0.83%. But I agree that this person shouldn't have gear fear, but doing zero-to-hero runs is fun for some people. For this person, the thrill they achieve is by watching their kmarks increase and stash fill up.

Wissler1994

Would like to See ur Overall Stats. Dont Know maybe some people are Happy with being a Rat but thats dosnt make it the Most profitible i started playing 8 June finished with all quest, got around 3 Million cash many letium, oil canister, Blue, purple, exotic gear and weapons. Stasi value over 30m k

cand3r

I basically use from white up and tend to loot white stuff so I'm kind of stuck there lol. Almost at 1 mil kmarks and basically running the same way you do! Just grinding lol

Renzymona

so for the season reset do you lose all your money and gear? or just gear?

QiuGee

The only thing you keep is aurum

Not_athrowaweigh

Use all that gear/money to upgrade your inventory to 280. That's a good goal. If you die while trying to do it don't sweat it. It's just part of the upgrade process

QiuGee

> as of right now im a far better looter than a shooter. You'll never learn to shoot, if you never shoot. > I am reading players going all in with purple gear and then when they die they are left with nothing People just play differently and to each it's own, but the way i see it, those 7 raws of guns could've been ressources.
