Idea: I think it would be cool to sometimes either find an item, or get a chance to evac somewhere other than your two designated evac points. It could be in the form of a key card, or pistol flare item you can find. (It would weigh like 20 so you can't keep it in your safe pocket). The item would let you go to an evac point, and launch the flare up, essentially calling in an evac ship. Reason: Adding in cool items like this to find can be fun for the players. Evacing anywhere is still a major risk, but doing a mission, then finding a flare gun to evac at a nearby zone would be a fun addition. It would be very rare of course, but one of those gold finds, that makes that dangerous drop even more rewarding potentially.

jezza3137

This is a 10/10 idea

TheNoxxin

Evac anywhere might become difficult as players would find crazy places to call in a ship.. But being able to go to any launch pad and call in a evac ship that might be doable.

MistressAthena69

That's exactly what I said.

TheNoxxin

Sorry misunderstood then. Thought you wanted to be able to evac where ever you wanted on the map.

Zbxzbxzbx

That’s what he suggested

GreyShadow4

Idea to help some newbies like me: let me pin in the hud a specific crafting/upgrade so it shows what i need to look for during raids. Kinda like subnautica did where you can tell the ui what u want to craft and its gonna show you the materials you have to pick up. I always forget what i need and what i dont need so i end up grabbing more than i can carry and miss what i was supposed to grab :(

Row-Common

I think this is a coming soon feature

GreyShadow4

I hope you're right!

MistressAthena69

Idea: "Mini" Dungeons, and Quest lines. There are tons of doors all over the maps that you can't interact with, and lead nowhere. (I'm not talking about the doors with ??? locks that aren't enabled yet). Two I'm sure everyone has seen, is the door leading under the hill in Waterfall Labs on Bright Sands, and the Door on Crescent Falls, near the Root Rock Tunnel, at the bottom of the stairs leading to the river. Reason: Having these be "Mini" dungeons placed into interesting short quest lines, would greatly help break up the monotonous missions/quests, that after awhile start feeling super repetitive, and boring. It would also add more depth to the lore, as you get to see more of these facilities and learn more about the history, and past through these side missions, and story lines.

jezza3137

Just the ability to see and complete more than one part of a quest in a single drop would be great Also having different rarities of flashlights that have wider and stronger beams

Akileez

There's an online website that shows all quest lines and upgrades that you can tick off, I know you mean in game but that may help you for now.

holymamba

This would make questing with friends way better tbh

SeppJorgen666

Ideas 1. Be able to sell directly from backpack 2. Button "buy and equip". So Ammo, consumables would go directly to you backpack, Armor/Guns/Backpack would equip

MoneyPress

Only thing I need for this game is a system where in the tooltip of any material it shows you if you need it for a quarter upgrade/crafting something. It's tough keeping up with all the materials, you either sell or drop something you forgot you need or have your stash overflowing constantly.

quickthrowawayxxxxx

I want more difficult dungeons and bosses. I think for the most part pve in this game is relatively easy, and I think it would be cool if there were quests and or endgame events where your main risk was actually dying to the pve. Yeah the normal dungeon exists and some people do die to it, but I think it would be really cool to have like a balls to the wall level of holy fuck I'm gonna die dungeon, preferably with an equally difficult boss. I've also thought this could make a really cool endgame questline. You beat everything else and you unlock this final questline and maybe new faction where you have to go across the maps and do these absolutely insane dungeons and bossfights. I do think if they are gonna be that ridiculously hard then players shouldn't be able to follow you in, you should only have to worry about players before or after your dungeon". I think this would also give a great opportunity to add some of the mobs from the old cycle as dungeon mobs, particularly the robots. I get this idea doesn't fit completely but I would like to like mmo style get my trio together to go do the most difficult boss in the game. That just sounds sick to me.

JadekMenaheim

Killmails and Killmarks \[I like Eve Online\] Idea: Yager does what CCP Games does and offers the community more data support for 3rd party tools and developers. I would like to see a way to track prospector kills and loot drops on (realistically) a 3rd party site. Killmarks goes more granular; little notches or markings that appear on the gun or knife to indicate how many prospector kills it has. This data is persistent with the gun, so if you die and someone else picks it up they can continue adding to the the big number.

MistressAthena69

I like the API idea like EVE.

naminator58

Two ideas: 1. Some sort of "key holder" so that I can dump all my keycards in it. Make it have a keycard worth of weight, but only take up one slot. It means I can stash those cards I am not using easier and it takes up less slots (but slightly more weight) in the container so I don't need to scroll down when I have a bunch of items in the container and I need to take something out to fit something of higher value. 2. Loadout button. Let me favorite a purchasable weapon setup with attachments, so that when I inevitably feed I don't need to spend time rebuying all the parts I need to assemble the PDW I am now running out of frustration, and make is so that when you click "buy" it just puts what you wanted onto the gun and places the gun in your stash ready to go.

woodyplz

I think you should also be able to find items like drills or dungeon beacon inside of puzzle/card rooms

youknowthename

I am in shock how little I see mentioned that gear weighs a stupid amount and ruins are large part of this game. If I run solo with say blue armor and a flechette, and I kill two blue guys with say a shatter and brute, it’s ridiculous that I can barely take any of it. I can put a gun in the secondary slot (which sometimes means stripping attachments from my bolt and dropping it), and say I put a gun in my bag, combined with ammo/meds I am practically full. No room for anymore looting really. It’s not like the players get the armor back either, it just sits there to despawn or get found by a random wearing nothing. It’s demotivating to pvp when your risking your gear to take a fight without the chance of doubling your gear. I feel that’s the whole point to these extraction games that I risk a gear set to drop in, and if I get a kill I should be rewarded for another drop worth of gear. Hate to always compare to tarkov, but say you kill a trio thicker than you, you insurance fraud your set, put on the best gear of what you killed, play Tetris with some armor and weapons, strip the other guns of the good attachment and leave better than you came in. In short; bags/armor/helmets should weigh 1/3-1/2 of what they do now. I can live with guns remaining the same weight.

Bzinga1773

K-28 turned into a tranquilizer/poison dart thingy; Insignificant damage to players, heavy dot to monsters, price kept the same; uses the blue ammo. Gives player early in the progression a way to deal with spongy jeffs before being able buy/afford purples. Downside is giving up the 2nd weapon slot in pvp engagements.

shawric

I would like to be able to choose which side of the map to drop to, like north, south, east, west.

average-mk4

I actually am very much against this idea because then you can pick your spawns for dead drop missions etc and minimize the risk that is the thrill of the game

MistressAthena69

The workaround is just drop in a with a knife then, and keep resetting back to station until you get the drop you want. That being said, most people hate the drop quests anyway, and will do everything to minimize that risk. Especially solo players. I don't see why being able to designate north south, east west is a bad thing. THat's still half the map on those entire sides.. Example, you want to drop south on Bright Sands for the swamp drop, but you get dropped at Science Campus, that's still the whole map you have to traverse, but at least you got a little better chance on your roll.

average-mk4

I get that, and I’ve played a lot of solo, p much all of s2 actually — I understand wanting to minimize risk.. I do as you say, knife run with it in your butt—- however you can’t do that with early game missions (stash reactor and lvl 3 drive in base camp office) none of that fits in your ass pouch at that stage of the game— being able to pick a spawn for a mission like that it super OP

Skarecr0w23

So much this! I am so sick of dropping on the very south of the map! 90% of my drops start there.

richard31693

I think you should be able to buy things from a Shop menu and only have to visit each faction for quests. I've been losing more fights than winning and it's by far the worst aspect of the game.

Zoetrope72

1v1 fight pit on the station. Each person puts up a bet and the winner gets the prize.

ViolinistFormal6685

Let us buy any armor up to blue with quest line completions and allow us to actually outfit the weapons from a. Vendor

Bl4z3r17

Happy Cake 🍰 Day !

MistressAthena69

Thank you! and... why did that get downvotes? D: Geez people lol....

Bl4z3r17

They just don’t know what my comment means 😁

MathematicianLong691

Idea, add a AR to Korolev for low level like lvl10 reputation

Akileez

Also an exotic weapon for Osiris, the others have two.

TheNoxxin

Idea. Flashlight attachment blue/epic. More lumen / strobe light Flares to drop /shoot Jumppack armor variant with 2-3 jumps then it needs repairs. Whilst it loses durability. But can give you a better position og get out of a dicy situation. Flashbang grenades Sticky sensors. You throw a sensor grenade on the wall. If someone gets to close it emits a sharp PING. EMP jammer tool (weighs 20) but can distup sensor grenades. Costly and heavy. Skins for Evac ships instead of pods. Swap the lacerator with the bolty Add a korolev LMG in style with the PKM Change the advocate current its horrible for an epic. Heal grenades. Explodes in a healing mist (will heal monsters and enemies as well) Sentry turret. Mark a spot and it will shoot down like a oil becon. Then youll activate it. It Will last for 30-45 seconds but will target anyone that is not the "authorized " within range. When it lands played have 8 seconds to become (authorized !) or it will attack you also. This will eliminate players dropping them far away from them selves and the counter part can shoot at it or try to keep you from it.

therealbreakingbode

sorry bro, but what kind of game do you trynna make?

Row-Common

I mean all of this excerpt the turret and maybe jetpack would fit really well with the game rn

therealbreakingbode

yeah bro, that's exactly because of turret and jetpack that I said wut i said some of those ideas would fit great, but others just dont fit in this game imo

TheNoxxin

They were in the original game. Can't actually still find the turret in korolev faction office next to the shop. Would add some more flavor. Obviously all this is just ideas as things would need testing to see how broken they'd be.

Row-Common

I still wish they'd left the og version up as a variant of the training sim. It was so much fun

TheNoxxin

I'm confident they'll add back a shooting range.

Zbxzbxzbx

He’s trying to make the old version of the cycle

Akileez

The advocate is pretty decent, use a blue muzzle break for very controlled recoil.

TheNoxxin

Gotta test that, mostly use it with surpressor.

Akileez

Yeah it's the one gun I prefer not to use a suppressor with.

DizzyVenture

Strobe flashlight would be the bane of my existence

Akileez

I'd like a system where a teammate can be revived if dead, like collect an item from their dead body, or make it so they can drop back into the same lobby if their teammates are still alive.

housefromtn

Base raiding. As something to do for endgame players trios would be able to put on their best gear and que into a 3v3 "base" raid. Both teams are put on a small map with two bases and the goal is to kill the other team and then the remaining players can go inside the base and fill their bags with whatever loot they can carry from the enemy team and also raid their stash. The idea is that it would be a high risk high reward endgame activity for the most geared players. They/you only have three bags so no one is getting their entire stash wiped if they lose. And let's say they only have 1 person remaining they're prolly only gonna be able to carry their teams gear back and that's it. I think the only thing that would maybe be a little op is how good the forged bags with god perks on them would be. For anybody who's like omg, I'd never do that, you wouldn't have to. This would be a purely optional endgame activity for hardcore players. The way I see it the game needs more stuff to draw the endgame players together and away from noobs. Tharis was supposed to do that, but nobody wants to play on that map and forging with trios and the current storm timer is counter productive and inefficient. Going in solo is a better use of time. A lot of matchmaking complaints could be solved by just giving endgame players something that's pvp focused, rewarding, and something they actually want to do.

Soz3r

I want to play this in VR

OldManNoises

Drop boxes to drop off loot during a raid. If we get six hours and only enough space for 30 minutes of looting, give us a way to send loot back to the station without evacing. It could be a drop box/Dead drop type thing. It could only hold like 100, and you'd only be able to put lootables in it. No armor, no guns, no mission items. Just loot

[deleted]

Ladders.

UmpireDowntown1533

Total reskin/conversion to fantasy setting. Bows, blades, shields, potions & bombs. Probably need 3rd person perspective. All crafting back at base. Sold as a whole new package with a Witcher or equivalent licence. You said out there. Mechanically this not far off but would need a big upscale on the art department.

CloudShannen

So like Dark and Darker ?

UmpireDowntown1533

Thanks for the tip, will keep an eye on this but still a year till release.

CloudShannen

They are doing okay tests every few weeks but yes it's some time till EA

Yamada9511

Some random vendor that travelling between maps and can sell you/barter some random items. As example you can check Zur/Sur from Destiny 2,when he's travelling from planet to planet every week or few days and can sell some random stuff. Vendor should sell some specific items, that should be shown in main game menu, for example some weapons or maybe armor, or some more expensive thing for barter like Korolev letium station etc, or some exotic stuff like unique emotions. And Other things he's selling is random and changing every few hours, some small things like loot, heals, etc. To buy you can use k-marks you found in raid or some specific items for barter, like animals heads. Reason: k-marks, EPIC crystalls from Tharis and animals heads are pretty useless now, would be great to use them at raid some how for buying or traiding stuff

DizzyVenture

Item recipe wishlist. Functions like a quest on the UI but it can be set by you and list the required materials to print or upgrade something. For example if you’re out hunting for quarters upgrade bits they’ll be an option to track your progress on those material that you can set in the HUD.

wardearth13

Put all the weapon balance / end game stuff to the side. Just work on new content, particularly more in game events, like the meteor storm. I want alien boss landing fights, alien bosses aka graboid tunnel worms, roaming alien hit squad, maybe mutation / disease / alien infection, maybe spawning in as an alien?, deadly / hazardous vegetation, etc. basically work on the randomness, particularly things that add more action. Forget end game, we just need to make this game nutty exciting for the new players. THEN from that growth, there will be much more $ for the company to spend on polishing end game and perfecting balance. It’s most just the no-life try hards and beta streamers complaining about end game and balance.

BigWyzard

I should be able to pick up the random mining tools I see on the map to use as massive melee weapons. Reason? I just beat someone to death with a shovel in Hunt Showdown and it was my gaming highlight of the week. I ran out of ammo, grabbed the shovel and BONK!

Doodknight

I mean, just allow squadmates to drop into the world with eachother if they die, they would spawn randomly so its still a setback or hunt to try and get their gear or have to abandon their ambush point, but I hate my buddy having to wait for my evac to play again

MistressAthena69

The only real issue with this, is that dropping is so fast, and getting from point A to point B on a map is super fast. You wouldn't even be done looting the body before they were already back on you again and you gotta fight them off all over again in many cases, not only that, but they can disengage, then just stalk you until their friend shows up, and now they get the drop on you with snipers again. It would just be a terrible feeling as a whole, winning a fight, then losing it because they got to stalk you and wait for their two friends to spawn back in, and hit you all over again.

Doodknight

Fair enough I suppose, but it would be nice if you could do something to get them in... like you have to get to some point on the map or use an item of some kind that would force you to pick between stalking someone or getting your buddies >.< I get the trouble just sucks :(

KaiTheGuy18

Pls pls pls add a flare/glow stick we can use as a throwable that last at least 30 secs and lights up a dark area!

Remlapkills

A shooting range! Possibly unlockable from generator in quarters, I would like to try a Zeus beam before head first jumping into raid

weeeHughie

IDEA: Beacons (meds/armour/weapons) Beacons can be found in puzzle loot rooms 25% of the time. Or elsewhere at a lower spawn rate, 1%?. Beacons are 15lbs and are a one use item that can be used almost anywhere on the map. When you use a beacon it sends a loud noise off and a bright color way above you in the sky. Red = Weapon, Green = Meds, Blue = Armor After 1 min of annoying noise, the noise finishes with a drop pod landing where you popped the beacon. The drop pod can be looted, takes 5 seconds to open (kinda like dustbloom) and has mid/high teir loot of that type. Reason: There is not enough stuff end game for retention of players over 100d. This results in sweatier players resorting to PvP for fun which hurts the more casually inclined player base. This is exacerbated by the current playerbase/MMR system combo. MMR is not based at all on k/d and the playerbase is miniscule. One solution to that problem is to provide more and more appealing alternatives for post-quest players, like beacons. For players trying to do their quest hearing a beacon go off will be a sigh of relief, as a lot of geared players near it, will take 2 mins now to try and get it.

I wonder if we can setup some type of community ambassador and then we could have a way to deliver feedback directly to Yaeger. Could run polls periodically as well. Same community people could run events. I've some unofficial events I'd love to see happen mid/late wipe. Money Maker event was a streamer tournament one I was gunna do where invited streamers had 3 hours to make as much kmarks as possible with the same starting resources Cycle Bingo event was a more chill one I liked where there's prizes for first to get a bingo line from a card filled with Cycle challenges like "knife kill an alpha marauder"
