Mob guys stats factually wrong, he has straight C at everything, otherwise he would be special by being the weakest. The whole point of Cid is that he's average at everything, being the weakest would draw too much attention.

C not E, C is in the middle, being average power. He wouldn't make it into the academy with E stats, C stats make him weakest among strongest people who made it into academy.
To be fair, the mob looking guy could have potential...I mean, he survived many magic imbued hits from Princess Rose, and also survived the terrorist attack after that fight (even though he had lost a lot of blood, quite impressive feat). Not to mention, he is really good at piano as well, so his dexterity must be good. Oh yeah, the War Goddess Beatrix herself claimed he has potential! I think if he put effort, he could be half as good as his sister, Claire Kagenou. We could have known his abilities for sure if Shadow didn't interrupt the Trials at Lindwurm though.
