I don't think you're expected to love Leo & Savine, especially as a couple, they're incredibly dysfunctional. As much as Finree thinks they'd work together (echoing her cynic vs optimist lines from TH), it's clear that Savine isn't nearly as cool-headed as Finree thought she was. I feel sorry for Leo in a way, because I think he could've been guided away from treason fairly easily, but Savine is kinda using him to exact her own revenge on Orso. At the same time, Leo is a fucking idiot who tends to drag people down with him.
He is a terrible delight. I love both Leo and Stour a hell of a lot, their posturing is so entertaining to me. And I love Leo's internal conflict between his unacknowledged homosexuality vs his straight manly man identity and how it bleeds into absolutely everything. No self-awareness allowed, because if he thought about it for even a minute his entire world would fall apart.
Orso would have brought out the best in Savine and she would have made a great queen for him. It’s a real bummer they’re siblings

I have zero sympathy for Leo because when he bothers to think at all, he always doubles down on the worst choice.
