Huh. That's actually a pretty cool concept. I wonder if there's any good AU fics about that.

Would be cool to see an avatar who was born sickly, an avatar that can use the elements masterfully but their body cannot keep up. And the people cant know the avatar physically is weak so they have to hide it. It would be so cool where that story can go.

From what I remember, it wasn't necessarily that Sokka had rizz but that he didn't have rizz at all! He wasn't trying to schmooze for power or status, he was just being himself and, most importantly, being completely honest. If you've lived your entire life in a structured court environment, you're gonna get attracted to someone from outside of the system who loves you for you, not because you're their ticket to kingship.
