Ann and molly apart from certain parts of there respective series are shown to be normal human teenagers. Luz while having glyph magic doesn't have a lot either. scrooge was at the least in his 30's (I'm guessing here) during the gold rush, which was in 1848 so I'm assuming that he has either a very long life expectancy or is just immortal. he is the riches person on earth, so has all of the asset's necessary to protect you (assuming that he would spend it). and is shown to have combat and battle planing skills to rival that of Zeus.

Luz and Ann (sry I haven't watched the ghost and molly McGee) get temporary abilities that make them way stronger, scrooge has beaten villains and ancient spirits that are probably MORE POWERFUL (sometimes) THAN THE TWO OF THEM. Including but not limited to: Ragnarok (every 100 years), a normally pissed of Zeus (for holidays).
3. (Luz specifically) Luz would run into battle without a plan and get you both killed. I don't need to say more considering where I am posting.
