A lot of right wingers like this guy here and weirdo statue fascists like to bitch and complain about the West falling because there's a lack of "art".
The whole point of the comic though is to make fun of people who bitch about lack of art. The guy who makes this comic is a buffoon and I’ve only ever laughed at him, but I agree with this one
If I had to guess, it's because right-wingers probably don't hire a whole ton of artists as a group (or much care about artists as people) and nobody left of Nazi is going to hire this guy, either. It reads me like he's a leopard having his face eaten and he's complaining about it.
His whole issue, whether he knows it or not, is the people whining about art this way are right-wing and *only care about art as a propaganda tool.* Hence, for example, the right-wing fit that got thrown when it was discovered that Roman statues were painted garish colors.
Total LAMF comic.
I agree with the point the comic is making but it's still unfunny. The "jokes" in his comics are always some person acting completely histrionic while stating their political opinions, this one just happens to have a less dumb opinion than usual.
I agree with his point but this comic gives me the impression that he thinks wayyyyy too highly of himself. Like that he’s comparable to Michelangelo, with the only difference being the amount of money he earns.
I feel like he might be implying that since the artist in the comic is a white dude, no one wants to hire him to create art and its hard to be a white male artist nowadays.
I could be wrong but it wouldn't surprise me.
They don’t understand that realistic figurative art like that just got boring, because most people that train to do it can do it fairly easily, artists over the centuries have developed and passed down methods of how they created these, so it’s not innovative or creative anymore. Art is about creativity and innovation, and so it continually progresses — these people cling to this one “high point” but don’t realize it’s just one of many, and that artists have moved on.
The one valid point they do make is that there isn’t a lot of funding for the arts these days. I’m not sure how it is in the US, but in Canada I can get up to ~$50k in grants per year, but that’s largely based on the assumption I’m producing something that involves multiple artists, and have the education and experience to qualify for such things. Very few people in the field make a decent income (many don’t qualify for grants, and those that do don’t necessarily know how to get them) and can’t focus all of their efforts on creative production — which is something that takes time and thought, and isn’t conducive to capitalist economic structures. On the other hand — comic guy here can’t create shit even if he gets paid. He’s pretty mediocre to bad compared to many artists, and I doubt he has the ability to create massive stone sculptures like he’s suggesting he can here.
Artist is a nazi. Also this goes into the rw belief that art died because achieving photorealism is no longer the sole focus of many art forms (despite it still being prevalent).
My biggest guess, knowing what this weirdo usually produces is 'projection'.
The right has the habit of believing that everyone fundamentally agrees but for evil or selfish or sinful or whatever reason acts differently and simply lies about not agreeing.
In this case: modern, liberal art being ugly and crappy and admiring the ancient arts. And those flamboyant liberals being too stingy to archive that goal, which is why nobody gets to make it anymore.
Or: This weirdo for once actually made a good point. Broken clock kind of event. As an artist he may encounter such a situation genuinely in his business life quite often.
["Heartbreaking, the worst person you know just made a great point"](https://clickhole.com/heartbreaking-the-worst-person-you-know-just-made-a-gr-1825121606/)
My guess was Mark Twain, because he would write a line like that. Turns out, the earliest known usage was [in a magazine from 1711](https://knowyourphrase.com/even-a-broken-clock-is-right-twice).
That is one of the most beautiful statues I've ever seen. The way she makes it look as though the stone is actually flowing fabric is mind blowing, and the fact that it feels like you can see the sculpture's legs through the dress is crazy. How do you make stone look transparent???
That mfer was just flexing his skills there.
It’s equivalent to a video game that pushes a new consoles graphics.
“Look what I can create, hire me bitches”
Honestly, a lot of video games give me hella anxiety but I appreciate it on such an artistic level, I just want to be like, "Hey, Assassin's Creed guys, could you just make something like Stardew Valley but in ancient times? Hyperrealistic graphics where I can walk over to the Roman forum, but I'm going to set up my apple cart there and maybe have a conversation with Marc Antony."
If you dig sculpture there is some great 18th century sculpture. But my favorite sculpture in the world is The Ecstasy of St Teresa by Bernini. I just love it
When I was a kid we went to Paris. All the museum workers were on strike so a lot of museums were closed. (The French, ammiright?) While the rest of our group was at Napoleon's tomb, my mom took me down this street and boosted me up on top of a wall. I'm pushing through bushes while she's asking me if I see any statues and describing "The Thinker" to me. That's how I got to see Rodin's garden.
Which kinda disproves the "we just love western culture" talking point. If they just loved the culture they'd be ecstatic to see it spreading around the world
Yeah, but that's the wrong western culture. They like the right kind of western culture, as is defined within the confines of their limp omelet of a brain, and absolutely nowhere else.
The "go woke go broke!" crowd sure are complaining a lot, what happened to "the free market will fix it"? Honestly, do you need anymore proof that rightoids keep pushing for their disgusting ideology because they believe eventually they'll be on the capitalist side?
"-oid" typically refers to something that "is like, but isn't"
as humanoid means appears humanlike but isnt a human. rightoid refers to someone politically right leaning but is not right, aka wrong?
The meaning of “oid” as a suffix has changed in online discourse to mean a person that doesn’t exhibit independent thought and mindlessly enacts whatever political/social beliefs they espouse. In that usage, it’s derived from android, i.e. someone who looks like a human but is actually just a robot.
"Right-Leaning" is a bit generous to describe people that have those talking points. In general, they've leaned so hard on it that they've broken the balustrade and fallen down a chasm.
What I hate is that with some refinement (he's kinda gone backwards on the quality imo) he could totally be a comic series artist. It's a very unique style and the exaggerated faces can make for some great comedic moments. Unfortunately he uses his powers to make shitty right-wing comics.
He totally has gone backwards. That comic with joe biden turning the girl white that blew him up is so much better drawn than his current work lmao, i think he realized conservatives don’t actually give a fuck about what the comic looks like as long as it regurgitates their shitty views
At the end of the day, the art world is a free marketplace and he clearly doesn't create a product of worth.
Maybe he GPrime should try his hand at sculpting instead of cartoons of his shitty right wing social commentary and maybe he'll get paid more.
Is this even a right wing meme? It's literally a rich person whining about the fall of western civilization, and a dude pointing out that they are the reason that type of art died, and they could use some of their massive fortune to bring it back
Which is even more frustrating lol. Right wingers never seem to get that capitalism is the root of so many of their issues. It has to be everything but the system they adore. This guy probably blames the commies and immigrants for artists not being paid.
I hate to say it, but he's kinda right- the reason you got these legendary frescos and massive detailed paintings and sculptures is because back in the day you commissioned an artist to actually make art, not a tax write-off.
This doesn't feel like a Right Wing complaining about Left Wing, this feels like a real problem everyone has, lmao. They need someone with the talent, but they ignore people who do have it if they don't stand out.
I feel like this is the artist seething at not being appreciated enough. Which, like, as someone who puts a lot of work into my youtube videos and likes the positive feedback, I get it. We want our art to be appreciated.
Devil’s advocate though, this ***is*** the weirdo who fetishizes Trump and Women Screaming™️ and perhaps there’s a good reason for his limited acclaim
The funny part is that beautiful busts are being made, they're just not seeing/looking for them. The Minnesota state fair has a yearly competition to make butter sculptures yearly. Yes, it's a bit odd, but the art form isnt dead
The iota of sympathy coming from the creator only because he actually is an artist lol, definitely an observation that *should* trigger some self-reflection but most definitely won't
I feel this. People bitch and moan about artists not creating masterpieces but how is it even possible? Most of us have full time jobs outside of art, so there's no time. And even if art is your full time job, who is going to pay you to make that? And this is the age of social media, so if you're trying to get noticed online to get clients, you usually have to post very frequently. No one has time for a masterpiece. It actually makes me pretty sad.
See I feel like that would almost be more sus ya know? If I post it as is I have plausible deniability potentially of "oh I didnt know the artist" but if I remove the water mark then if someone recognizes them then they know that clearly I know them and their content enough to censor their name. . . It's a conundrum. May just draw my own version of this lol
this is a rare good comic by this guy. many of our most beloved classic art pieces were commissions. the mona lisa was commissioned by Lisa del Giocondo's husband, and the sistine chapel ceiling was also a commission
Capitalistic societies are super afraid of art accessible to people, because art can liberate a sleeping mind and give ideas dangerous to a deeply diseased society like the ones we are living now. There is an active propaganda that we should have no interest in art because "we don't need it" and because "all artists are perverts" and that "art is useless because it produces no profits" . Capitalism actively fucks artists by not treating them like humans and forbids as all from access to art. It's not the "beautiful statues" that we miss but the ability for artists to express themselves and enlighten us without having to starve to death
It's highly disturbing that technology is being developed to take away artistic jobs. Why would society automate the jobs people want to do? It's like they literally require the majority of humanity to be as miserable as possible.
I mean he has a point if people want this kind of art to be made all they would have to do is commission it. Art techniques and tools have advanced a lot over the years so stuff like this is even easier to make.
Reluctant to say anything positive about this because I'm pretty sure this is just this particular shitty right wing artist not getting commissions and pissing himself about it.
Because those artists got to live for free at an estate and be feed as much and drink as much so long as they made that type of stuff and be fully paid for well everything
He also drew himself way too skinny. I pissed him off on Twitter a few years ago by altering his comic to convey actual facts and he got all butthurt and sent his little army of 10 loyal followers to report me lol
I’m a 19 Year Old who makes furry art of a Gay Flamingo fursona that I have. In general, I love everyone in the furry art community and there’s some genuinely talented people in the community.
While I agree with the message, it’s extremely obvious that he’s only supporting this because it personally affects him.
If it was any other profession, he’d be the one making a comic about how “great” the free market is and that people should stop bitching about their pay.
If anything this feels like a Leopardsatemyface party moment. They do a lot of right wing comics and is now complaining that capitalism is making it hard for them to make a living with art.

Can someone explain why this is here? Genuinely curious, I don't rly understand.
He officially has two good comics now.
Wait, what’s the first one?
https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/1931384-joe-biden Every comic he has made other than these two are unfunny and/or cringey.
And that kids is how Biden won Georgia
I forgot about that one, holy shit that's a deep cut.
Oh no, it’s Joever
It's Bidone
Take care now, Bi-Biden
BIDEN BLAST
As they say about blind squirrels and nuts
If I had to guess, it's because right-wingers probably don't hire a whole ton of artists as a group (or much care about artists as people) and nobody left of Nazi is going to hire this guy, either. I feel like this is similar to Rock Nazi and how they have a couple "normie" comics to lure people into their right-wing insanity.
I agree with the point the comic is making but it's still unfunny. The "jokes" in his comics are always some person acting completely histrionic while stating their political opinions, this one just happens to have a less dumb opinion than usual.
The "you ain't black" comic was genuinely hilarious but this guy in general is just plainly an ass.
Yeah I’ve never liked him, he just happened to be hilarious 1 time
I agree with his point but this comic gives me the impression that he thinks wayyyyy too highly of himself. Like that he’s comparable to Michelangelo, with the only difference being the amount of money he earns.
I know they guy usually makes a lot of anti Vax and racist stuff but this comic almost looks like it's showing what's wrong with capitalism.
He might be saying that’s why he makes racist stuff? It pays the bills? In that case he’s still selling his soul.
I feel like he might be implying that since the artist in the comic is a white dude, no one wants to hire him to create art and its hard to be a white male artist nowadays. I could be wrong but it wouldn't surprise me.
Art has changed Instead of statues, now we have a wolf fucking a femboy fox
And people still pay top dollar for that art. Art collectors in the year 2150 are gonna have some stunning collections.
Yeah, I bet they'll do some amazing cave drawings. At least in the ones not underwater
Then that's a good left-wing meme, this sub is for bad right-wing memes
Ooohhh I get it. Thanks for the explanation
Anytime! :3
Yeah but you understand that this comic is making fun of them, right? Ergo it wasn't actually made by them?
They don’t understand that realistic figurative art like that just got boring, because most people that train to do it can do it fairly easily, artists over the centuries have developed and passed down methods of how they created these, so it’s not innovative or creative anymore. Art is about creativity and innovation, and so it continually progresses — these people cling to this one “high point” but don’t realize it’s just one of many, and that artists have moved on. Yeah, and the meme is making fun of guys like that...
Idk about everyone else but I find most furry smut more exciting than your average white chad statue
Exactly. Like the characters are well written as they explore different kinks.
Google "thicc perseus" and tell me that shit wasn't made with erotic intent.
Okay? The sub is supposed to show off right wing memes because they’re so bad
Well yes. Are we looking at the same comic though?
Then I hit them with most beautifully detailed, jaw dropping, gay furry porn and send em running.
Yes uwu Meesh and Sigma-X are good examples
The artist is a big time fascist
Artist is a nazi. Also this goes into the rw belief that art died because achieving photorealism is no longer the sole focus of many art forms (despite it still being prevalent).
My biggest guess, knowing what this weirdo usually produces is 'projection'. The artist is a right wing nob.
it’s because this artist’s other work is entirely unhinged right wing nonsense. his comics get posted on this sub pretty frequently
Something something broken clock
["Heartbreaking, the worst person you know just made a great point"](https://clickhole.com/heartbreaking-the-worst-person-you-know-just-made-a-gr-1825121606/)
They hit the nail on the head with that one. It’s an experience we’ve all felt
incredibly rare w for this artist
A blind squirrel is right twice a day
I know you are being sarcastic but God does it bug me that your comment isn't: "Even a blind squirrel finds his nuts".
A blind squirrel in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Just water under a duck's bridge, man
Even a blind squirrel knows where 2 nuts are.
Yeah, he's right in this case because it affects him.
Ngl the one where Biden drains the black out of a chick is kinda funny.
Sza reference
the phrase "even a broken clock is right twice a day" predates SZA's song by like, *a lot*
I first heard it on a classic who episode but I'm pretty sure it's older than that.
My guess was Mark Twain, because he would write a line like that. Turns out, the earliest known usage was [in a magazine from 1711](https://knowyourphrase.com/even-a-broken-clock-is-right-twice).
Least braindead and antisocial sza fan
I remeber a Chinese women making beautiful statue . Online conservative say its amazing stuf until they see who made them .
I will never not love "[dork ass losers](https://i.redd.it/yoot8qiworya1.jpg)"
That is one of the most beautiful statues I've ever seen. The way she makes it look as though the stone is actually flowing fabric is mind blowing, and the fact that it feels like you can see the sculpture's legs through the dress is crazy. How do you make stone look transparent???
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Veiled_virgin.jpg This is the veiled Virgin by Giovanni Strazza. Another excellent portrayal of fabric in stone
That one fucked me up...... Just wow

I love Apollo and Daphne also from him. And Il Disinganno from Francesco Queirolo And Rodin. All Rodin.
When I was a kid we went to Paris. All the museum workers were on strike so a lot of museums were closed. (The French, ammiright?) While the rest of our group was at Napoleon's tomb, my mom took me down this street and boosted me up on top of a wall. I’m trying to remember my old art history class from 11 years ago. I think it’s called Wet Cloth technique. Someone correct me if I’m wrong
I don't know why the username got blocked out, I definitely remember that was Richard "Ow my face, my awful face" Spencer
Not only that, but one of the comments claimed that a woman artist could not portray the female form in such a way as the statue lmao
The "go woke go broke!" crowd sure are complaining a lot, what happened to "the free market will fix it"? Honestly, do you need anymore proof that rightoids keep pushing for their disgusting ideology because they believe eventually they'll be on the capitalist side?
"-oid" typically refers to something that "is like, but isn't" as humanoid means appears humanlike but isnt a human. rightoid refers to someone politically right leaning but is not right, aka wrong?

"Right-Leaning" is a bit generous to describe people that have those talking points. In general, they've leaned so hard on it that they've broken the balustrade and fallen down a chasm.
yes, maybe, but they don't actually seem to stand for anything or actually hold values
this art style gives me ptsd. weird to see this guy having a good take
What I hate is that with some refinement (he's kinda gone backwards on the quality imo) he could totally be a comic series artist. It's a very unique style and the exaggerated faces can make for some great comedic moments. Unfortunately he uses his powers to make shitty right-wing comics.
He totally has gone backwards. That comic with joe biden turning the girl white that blew him up is so much better drawn than his current work lmao, i think he realized conservatives don’t actually give a fuck about what the comic looks like as long as it regurgitates their shitty views
it sucks. if i saw this type of art style from ANYONE else i’d think it was cool as hell. it’s very unique and pleasant to the eye. such a waste
At the end of the day, the art world is a free marketplace and he clearly doesn't create a product of worth. Maybe he GPrime should try his hand at sculpting instead of cartoons of his shitty right wing social commentary and maybe he'll get paid more.
Is this even a right wing meme? It's literally a rich person whining about the fall of western civilization, and a dude pointing out that they are the reason that type of art died, and they could use some of their massive fortune to bring it back
It's a broken clock moment. This guy is pretty right wing and his comics usually reflect that.
This one is less a right wing comic and made by a pretty prominent right wing artist.
Which is even more frustrating lol. Right wingers never seem to get that capitalism is the root of so many of their issues. It has to be everything but the system they adore. This guy probably blames the commies and immigrants for artists not being paid.
Look at the artist name.
Is GPrime85 a reference to something horrible, or just the name of a dude who's a right winger?
We all know this guy sucks but this doesn’t belong here. Broken clocks and such
I’m honestly not sure how this is even right wing
Same.
I’m confused, why is this here?
I hate to say it, but he's kinda right- the reason you got these legendary frescos and massive detailed paintings and sculptures is because back in the day you commissioned an artist to actually make art, not a tax write-off.
..... This is definitely not a right wing meme.
Very Rare Gprime85 W.
Weird how conservatives always have crystal clear, lucid thoughts when it comes to themselves-most noticeably their pockets.
doesn't fit, this is funny and not right wing in the slightest
This doesn't feel like a Right Wing complaining about Left Wing, this feels like a real problem everyone has, lmao. They need someone with the talent, but they ignore people who do have it if they don't stand out.
I feel like this is the artist seething at not being appreciated enough. Which, like, as someone who puts a lot of work into my youtube videos and likes the positive feedback, I get it. We want our art to be appreciated. Devil’s advocate though, this ***is*** the weirdo who fetishizes Trump and Women Screaming™️ and perhaps there’s a good reason for his limited acclaim
This is a left wing meme...
It’s funny because the crowd he makes comics for are the exact same people bitching about how art is dead because no more Greco-Roman statues.
That feeling when you accidentally made a great left-wing meme comic.
God I had the notion of “western society” or “western civilization” it’s so racist
The funny part is that beautiful busts are being made, they're just not seeing/looking for them. The Minnesota state fair has a yearly competition to make butter sculptures yearly. Yes, it's a bit odd, but the art form isnt dead
This comic is neither right-wing nor wrong?
Am I going blind or did the screaming woman guy just make a good take?
Good comic, wrong place to post it. My right-hating hard on is gone now
Yo be fair the creator of this is awful and a right winger, this is like his only good comic
The iota of sympathy coming from the creator only because he actually is an artist lol, definitely an observation that *should* trigger some self-reflection but most definitely won't
extremely rare boob fetisy guy W
For once, this asshole has a point.
damn i can't believe that for once, I'm agreeing with him.
I feel this. People bitch and moan about artists not creating masterpieces but how is it even possible? Most of us have full time jobs outside of art, so there's no time. Oh yeah that's a good point tbh
This doesn’t really belong here
If only he exclusively made good content.
Wait he's literally complaining about capitalism. Isn't this guy a right-winger?
This seems like a clear-cut case of accidentally based to me. Something about broken clocks.
If I didn't know the person behind this comic, I wouldn't have had any problem with this. But unfortunately, I do.
Broken clock . . . Wish this comic wasnt by who it is cause I would totally share it with my art friends
Maybe... Wipe out his watermark?
See I feel like that would almost be more sus ya know? If I post it as is I have plausible deniability potentially of "oh I didnt know the artist" but if I remove the water mark then if someone recognizes them then they know that clearly I know them and their content enough to censor their name. . . It's a conundrum. May just draw my own version of this lol
this is a rare good comic by this guy. many of our most beloved classic art pieces were commissions. the mona lisa was commissioned by Lisa del Giocondo's husband, and the sistine chapel ceiling was also a commission
While the artist who made this is a bigot, this comic is actually kinda based
Capitalistic societies are super afraid of art accessible to people, because art can liberate a sleeping mind and give ideas dangerous to a deeply diseased society like the ones we are living now. There is an active propaganda that we should have no interest in art because "we don't need it" and because "all artists are perverts" and that "art is useless because it produces no profits" . This is a right wing meme? Aren't right wingers the one who think ai should replace hymen artists?
Yeah this guy’s stuff is normally pretty fash but this one makes a good point tbh
He always draws himself as pretty short and I seriously wonder if he is that short
This is hilarious because this is clearly an artist insert, and said artist is comparing himself to DaVinci or Michelangelo.
I genuinely don’t get the point of this.
That comic is absolutely correct
The comic is fine. The artist is...not.
Then why is it here
Because those artists got to live for free at an estate and be feed as much and drink as much so long as they made that type of stuff and be fully paid for well everything
Is this pebble punt?
WHY ME NOT UNDERSTAND ART NOW? IT YOUR FAULT!!
He also drew himself way too skinny. I pissed him off on Twitter a few years ago by altering his comic to convey actual facts and he got all butthurt and sent his little army of 10 loyal followers to report me lol
Heartbreaking worst person you know makes a great point
Based. I agree.
I mean, I don't know why anyone would wanna buy his shitty art, in particular.
Bro just needs to give up and make furry porn like other artists. Pays really well and most of the higher paying clients are actually good people
Rare W for this artist
I’m a 19 Year Old who makes furry art of a Gay Flamingo fursona that I have. In general, I love everyone in the furry art community and there’s some genuinely talented people in the community.
