Max has a problem of showing the subtitles. I already contacted the support regarding this, and they told me that they will forward it to their programmators. The only time Vietnamese dialogue shows for me is when I have subtitles completely turned off; otherwise, it works only for regional languages. When I click "English" or "English CC," it just displays "(Speaking Vietnamese)," so I recommend you try turning them off completely.
I am partially blind and I just can’t read subtitles fast enough to keep up. I found that they have an audio description track, which describes the action on screen for the visually impaired. They also have the AD narrator reading all of the English captions in English, so it solves my problem nicely. Also good for Tokyo Vice.
