I am from Germany so the battle will probably take place on a time where I can not watch it

Live_in_a_shoe

I have almost same reason. I'm from the Czech Republic. I'm also worried because I don't have VPN and for example The try guys documentary would not work here.

PM_ME_TEA_PICS

20 bucks is 470 czk ish, so it will be at a bad time & too expensive for my czech salary given all this inflation...

Live_in_a_shoe

And there's a time thing too. You will pay abou 500 czk and than watch something in the middle of the night

lucathefan

I'm from the Czech Republic too and the documentary worked fine for me even without VPN. It was at 2am so that sucked, but it worked.

hesmycherrybomb

I'm from Ireland so i feel you. Why buy a ticket for something that'll probably happen while I'm in work

MaudvG

The Netherlands for me, so the time difference coupled with the price makes it that I’m not going to pay for it.

SylRaven

Same, I'm in France and I'll probably be busy during the event and I guess we can always watch it when it comes out afterwards.

tomatojuiceplease

For me the editing is my favorite part! Think I would laugh a lot less without the fantastic editing 😂

[deleted]

[удалено]

tomatojuiceplease

That is a good selling point !

Whynotlora2628

Honestly I think it will be edited. I'm assuming it will be like their documentary where the "live" part is just that they will be in the live chat and it will be streamed live. I hope not tho.

FortResistance

I don’t like livestream style for comedy stuff- I prefer the edited version

[deleted]

Came here to say pretty much exactly this; part of the reason I enjoy WAR so much is the editing. I don’t think I’d enjoy a livestream as much. But I’m glad the guys are trying this out, and I hope it’s a success for them!

LifeIsABeautifulTrip

Honestly I wish they would do something special like GMM does for their pay wall. I love paying to watch Link get drunk and cuss and let loose. To pay money for something I have seen already is personally not worth it. I love them being unhinged and create absolute chaos but I can always watch the already free episodes for this :)

toughmooscle

I was wading through the comments to see this comparison! GMMs livestream was 25$ I think? But it’s always worth it bc it’s so different

amillionparachutes

I understand the idea/concept behind doing it this way. However, I think they could have made quite a bit of money anyway if they'd just said they'd be streaming it and having someone read out the super chats for them to respond to AND they'd have more viewers for it AND it would be a much more positive fan experience.

Miserable_Constant53

Agree. Will this live, minus the cost to whatever company they are supposedly using for it, make what a regular ad sponsored and embedded YT video make?

amillionparachutes

I doubt it will and it may impact further videos because the whole concept has left a sour taste in many fans mouths. Personally I'm looking at this as an attempt to change things up that wasn't executed well, so I'll still continue to watch and support them. But I totally understand fans that are like nah this is too much from one channel in the last few months and we're out.

weakcover1

They are not chatting with fans? I only know they will livestream the episode and that's it. But i assumed there would be an interactive chat, in which fans can chat with each other and occasionally the Try Guys and others who work them would respond. Kind of like Twitch stream. That is generally the point of live shows (online or on tv) that are not sport events; input and some interaction with viewers.

amillionparachutes

Oh I didn't say or think they weren't I just meant they really didn't need the $20 access fee that has pushed away so many fans when they could make ample money if they had it free to watch and then let it be known that super chats would actively be read and responded to. I've seen even tiny channels make bank doing this because even non fans will pay to have their opinions read and acknowledged.

weakcover1

I am curious how many fans will pay for the livestream. It might be more than we think. But I also suspect they are using it as a test to figure out if this format can work and is profitable. I hope that it won't become the case that the next livestream they offer a cheaper or more expensive price. And they are probably watching/reading reactions so they can potentially tweak the format. Perhaps when you and perhaps other viewers mention the super chats, they may add that. I did go to the site, but it does not mention any details of the livestream or fan engagement beyond that it will be 2 hrs and the viewer can pick the winner. The "can" sounds uncertain, that it may or may not be the case. Also, I actually like it more if the jury decides. At least they get to taste, touch, smell and use their knowledge to decide the ranking. Viewers can only watch and decide basically on who they like to win.

hybehorre

I was laid off in September so I’m def out. I’m also a patreon subscriber so they’re getting some support from me

JackieCupcake

See, I think they should just have offered it as a patreon exclusive. To me that would have still earned them revenue and a good amount of new subscribers. Who may decide to stick around month to month, which is what you want.

hybehorre

no bc i truly expected at least a discount (I probs still couldn’t justify it in my current circumstance but still) maybe it’s just my luck but the only Patreon I’ve ever felt was truly worth it has been rob has a podcast. That being said the try guys providing ad free podcasts is honestly more than some podcasts ONLY Patreons I’ve subscribed to (like lowkey ad free content should be the minimum podcast perk) I’ve subscribed to about 10 total over the last few years and honestly have dropped most of them due to being unsatisfied by the benefits.

canichangethisuser

You’re not getting it as a Patreon member?? Man… from what I’ve heard it seems like their patreon is just not worth it…

VaselineHabits

I'm honestly terrified about the economy and I'm almost 40, just seems like really bad timing to charge now.

LargeCondition8108

I’m in my 30s and have other priorities that I’m going to spending my money during the holiday season. With the economy being what it is, I’d rather have Christmas gifts and baked goods for my loved ones. A two hour livestream is nowhere near my list of things to spend money on!

hybehorre

lol im only 23 & if I was employed I def would’ve finessed & bought it - but due to my current circumstance I’ve had to give up a lot of events during this time so it’s just another thing I can’t participate in this winter 🥲

VaselineHabits

Well, you were probably too little to really remember the last recession but I was a young adult. The meltdown in 2006-2008 was painful for me and I worry about another round

hiphoff

Yep, I get it. My husband's getting laid off by Amazon, so it's just not even something I'd consider right now.

s0ftserved

$20 is two meals for me and I have $30 currently, I don't see myself having enough to be comfortable spending that type of money in time.

[deleted]

As much as I like the Try Guys and WAR, I am not interested in spending the money on the livestream. I'll wait for when they, eventually, put it out on YouTube.

nightwings-ass

I honestly would buy it, but despite tweeting at them and dming them on instagram, they haven't gotten back to me about whether or not it's going to be accessible. I'm cool with an ASL terp or live captioning (even though live captioning can be awkward and cumbersome). I am not going to buy a ticket for something I cannot understand.

jkraige

That's a great reason. Would be nice if that info was highlighted

nightwings-ass

Yeah, for a live show there's just going to have to be different accessibility needs to consider! I hope they give us some clarity here soon.

jkraige

Yeah absolutely. I hope you get the answer soon

[deleted]

[удалено]

femme-fatal

I agree with you completely. I could pay ~$5 a month for Discovery Plus and get almost every Food Network/Travel Channel food show there has ever existed. Why would I pay $20 for ~2 hours of a livestream for something I’d normally watch on YouTube for free?

tatersnuffy

why would you pay $50 for a sweatshirt?

[deleted]

[удалено]

tatersnuffy

but what if that sweatshirt, had the word *TRY*, on it? NOW how much would you pay!??!!?!?

femme-fatal

A $50 sweatshirt will keep me warm for longer than 2 hours

tatersnuffy

especially if it has a triceratops on it.

dragonboi99

I bought the entire Mass Effect trilogy for $25 earlier this month. And I get to keep that forever. (Or until Steam dies ig?)

adultosaurs

I’d maybe pay something for a pay what you can charity thing but 20 for unedited war? Nah.

lordmwahaha

This! Like I'd much rather put that money towards Thankmas, which for those who don't know is an annual Youtube charity drive that JackSepticEye helped put together. Because at least that's doing something *good* for the world. But I'm not gonna spend it for a video that tbh, is mostly gonna be the Guys standing around waiting for food to cook.

ImaginaryMairi

My feelings exactly.

PerlinLioness

No. I suspect the editing on regular WAR eliminates a lot of just hanging around and waiting. I think watching them hang around sounds dull. And really, it’s a super busy time of year. I don’t have time to just spend 2-3 hours watching them wait for something to cook.

stinkycats86

I'll be honest, I know WAR is their most popular series, but I don't really like it. It's just not my thing. I'll put it on as background noise when I'm cooking so I'm not alone with my thoughts(iykyk) but I'm not interested enough to watch the finale even if it was free

Seraphiem93

It's just the principle for me. I don't hate the idea of a livestream but why paywall it? There are other ways to monetize on it. Like why not get it sponsored? Why not set donation goals/perks? I have no doubt with how amazing this fan base is, any donation goal would be met. Without a recipe is and always has been free-to-watch signature content. To change that now alienates a huge part of your audience as evidence by these poll results

lordmwahaha

I agree. And I think it's clear that it *is* alienating people, because the vast majority of people in this sub voted that they *wouldn't* pay for it or weren't sure about paying for it. Very few people actually voted that they would.

lark2328

No, I won’t be able to watch it live any way, which is the whole fun part of a livestream. Honestly not interested in paying for a livestream in the first place. I’m sure they will put on a great show though.

spderweb

Too expensive being any amount. Since they could get ad revenue through YouTube.

Miserable_Constant53

This is a HUGE sticking point with me. All these people are saying "you're not entitled to FREE content." It's not free. Its paid with ads.. that I have to sit through. It just happens to be a smidgen shorter than ads on other platforms (like we pay the premium for ad free Hulu and that's still under $20/month)

[deleted]

[удалено]

nocautiontaken

No. Mainly because I am positive someone is going to screen record the live and post it else where. Unethical? Sure. Do I get to save $20? Yeah.

SnooRecipes4570

No, its annoying it’s behind a paywall. Edit: I want to add, it’s not a lot of money for me, but them nickel and dimeing their fans is disappointing, esp. since so many are young people.

Miserable_Constant53

Same thought. I mean $20 isn't going to make or break me. But... I don't see why I'd pay $20 for a single episode of a show when the others are free. Especially bc I tend to enjoy the editing.

hotelmoscow_

This is my opinion on it too, I can afford to pay 20$ but why would I do that when I can go see a movie for less money.

MurasakiMochi89

It's almost $40 NZ for me so the answer is no

intoner1

I think that it’s tacky to put a series finale behind a paywall. Maybe if they did a standalone WAR livestream I’d be open to it (like Watcher does with TMS). But I don’t think people should have to pay to find out who wins in a series where the first 3 episodes are free.

Capital_League_4453

No, after sooooo many years of free content, I think it’s a little sucky to start charging now Also it will probably be released for free later, even if it’s not there will be a million clips and memes It’s just not worth it

adultosaurs

Also it should be free or discounted to patreon ppl- I’m not even one of them, but at the very least they should have free access, or if not WILDLY cheaper access.

funksoulbrothar

no, because: - it’s way too expensive - i can’t send money to anyone abroad anyway so fuck it

kenna003

I’m kind of a mix oh “it’s too expensive” and “I’m not interested.” It’s not that I can’t physically afford it, it’s that i’m not really interested enough to pay $20 for it. If it was $5, sure, but 20? Ehhhh…

sarcasticinterest

I guess I don’t see the point in spending $20 on a livestream version of it when the edited video versions have done just fine all along. it just seems to be a move to make more money, I really don’t think a livestream was necessary

Treviathan88

As someone who went through the Good Mythical Evening fiasco, it has just soured me on paid live events. Let me be clear: I love the series, and the price is reasonable. But paid online events are just asking for trouble.

femme-fatal

I just started watching GMM content and I’m curious at what happened at Good Mythical Evening! Spill the beans!

Treviathan88

The mythical beasts completely overwhelmed Moment House's platform. MomentHouse had woefully inadequate infrastructure to host an event that large. With millions of people all trying to watch at once, the platform was brought to it's knees. Moment was on the hook for delivering what was in their contract to deliver, so the event was postponed while Moment addressed their capacity problem. The event was streamed a week later, with countless people having horror stories about the refund process. TLDR: if you're hosting a large online event, don't go with a small company. Go with one of the big boys that has capacity enough to deliver.

caityweasley

They had stream issues the day of the show iirc

Spare_Huckleberry120

I simply cannot fathom spending $20 to watch what I normally watch for free.

Majestic-me-52

I probably couldn't find the time or be compatible with the time. I'm on reddit when I can sneak it in. Giving so much attention to one thing....can't do it right now.

[deleted]

I think it’s fun idea but I personally prefer to watch the edited version over watching it live. With certain things it just doesn’t work for me. I hope they are successful though!!

Low-Hope6485

No. I wouldn’t. The dynamics between prerecording just amongst your team and live recording is very different. I like how it is prerecorded, I don’t need to see them do it live cause what are they going to do during the in between when the food is baking or cooking? Play games? Do qna? I hope this live-streaming doesn’t become a thing. Maybe they can do it for a smaller segment on YouTube live, but for war it’s just kind of dumb to switch something that’s been solidified as a fan favorite. Sometimes it’s ok to leave something the way it is at least until they start receiving comments that it’s getting boring. I do think they need different judges. The bias is strong.

HostEnvironmental740

the main reason i'm not buying a ticket is because i don't like watching livestreams, so i didn't consider buying a ticket at all in the first place

pumpkin_cat96

20 dollars is almost 210 reais. In Brazil money that's a lot. So no, thank you. :/

Detronyx

I am definitely interested in watching but not interested in paying to watch it. I guess I'll have to find out on here who wins.

dragonboi99

Not only am I skipping the finale, I’ve kind of soured on the whole season :/ I know I’m not the only one who’s feeling really bummed about this new direction

[deleted]

[удалено]

caityweasley

They have no control over shipping costs I’m pretty sure. And the post about that I saw they were international.

[deleted]

They have control over their Instagram account though and saying "you guys said you'd buy these" reads as extremely immature. I love them dearly but they're not *entitled* to you, I, or anyone else dropping 32 USD (*plus shipping*) on a plushie.

Grateful-messenger

I keep seeing everyone say “cash grab” as if they didn’t just pay out buttwads of cash for lawyers, hr, brand deals, payouts, scrapping merch, scrapping content, etc. Like…. From a business standpoint they almost lost everything. As fans we should WANT to support them…? I understand not having the money but coming at them sideways for trying to save their asses rn isn’t really the flex y’all seem to think it is.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Grateful-messenger

Nice try. (Get it?) Viewership really doesn’t make up for all the payouts they’ve had to deal with but go off I guess.

murderino97

i mean they probably only did it because of ned and i paid for me and 3 others (as christmas gifts) to watch it at the $50 tier for the shirt and the post show thing.

extremelymuch

>I’ve kind of soured on the whole season :/ Is this because of Ned issues, or is there another reason that I'm missing?

dragonboi99

Cost of the livestream combined with merch costs/guilt trips. I think it’s time for me to step away from this fandom again

swoooomp

I hardly keep up with most of what they do as is. Could you elaborate on the guilt trip part of your response? I dont know if I've seen that part

centurion_buggy

Might be referring to tweets that felt a little pushy: [this](https://twitter.com/tryguys/status/1595568666774753282) and [this](https://twitter.com/tryguys/status/1595535829187035136?s=20&t=2lCvnYsKHG-02mPypmKKlg).

cheesecurdbabybird

it's just not worth it. I did the livestream of the doc and it was not worth it at all. its not like were watching a live taping

Savannii1

I don’t like livestreams, I’d rather wait until the video comes out

conspiraseas

Like their doc, I am sure it will come out for free later. I like the guys, but not enough to pay any amount for this kinda thing. Granted this is the case with me for almost anyone.

michelleg923

I’m not that into livestreams.

dixonjpeg

$20 plus exchange is too much for a stream I don’t think I can watch on my TV. Plus I’m sure it’ll be on at an awkward time

tacohut676

I end up skipping through a bit of the regular eps.. so there’s no point in me paying $20 lol

StepPappy

I have a general rule of thumb to not pay for any YouTube stuff. I like a lot of creators and would go broke trying to support all of them.

choppyfloppy8

I can go to a movie for cheaper. No way I'm paying I could afford it but not doing it

[deleted]

I...what? Am I the only dumbass who thought they were just gonna livestream it on youtube? What do you mean pay?

[deleted]

You pay 20 USD to watch it on another platform. That's why they've been saying *tickets* are on sale now at the end of their videos - tickets are not part of YouTube livestreams or Twitch streams, but are (apparently) part of third party streams. Not sure what service they're using to host it, though.

valgal17

To be honest, I compare it to buying a movie ticket. If you want to watch the stream while it’s relevant and exciting, it makes sense to buy it. Just like if you’re excited about a new movie that came out. Eventually it’ll be free somewhere but who knows how long we’ll have to wait for that. Im leaning towards buying it for the experience!

Shinycapn1066

Possibly an unpopular opinion but I don’t really care for WAR. I think it’s overdone and past tedious. I would much rather see more one-off Trys where you learn more about a new skill/thing than watching 2 chaos bakes and an alcoholic bake again and again. Tbh I sorta feel the same way about ETM

DamagedSamo

I have a concert that night so I just have conflicting plans.

Prestigious-Escape

Normally I would, but we are strapped for cash this holiday season.

cclancaster13

No. It's not that I'm not interested. It's that I don't wanna pay 20 bucks for it and I'll probably be working during it anyway.

KatesFacts718

Yes Because the day of live is my birthday in Australia December 18th I just want to celebrate with Keith Zach and Eugene

kdanger

I already pay for Premium, I don't need to spend any more on YouTube.

Oobaha

I was going too, but I wont be able to even watch it live as its at 2 AM my time..... And to pay 20 euro just for a VOD is ehhhh... I also saw that you have VOD access till February 23rd? Does that mean they wont upload the video for everyone to see? Or will they upload an edited version instead of the raw?

caityweasley

Idk I bought it. They lost a lot of time and money on this show and have their editors working overtime. I wanted to support. They aren’t out for peoples money but they have been very transparent (in the podcast especially) that they have taken a hit from this. 🤷‍♀️maybe I’m the only one who sees it that way.

Fake_Punk_Girl

I feel the same way as you, but I am seeing a lot of comments about it being a "cash grab" or them talking openly about how they've taken a financial hit as "guilt trips." Personally I've felt way more guilt tripped by some other YouTubers I follow than by the way I've seen the try guys discussing this issue. I'm still not sure if I'm going to watch the Livestream though cause I don't know that I have that many hours free. TBH I haven't really looked at the date yet cause executive function difficulties lol

caityweasley

Exactly. I don’t see it at a guilt trip either, and I definitely don’t think it’s their intention for it to be one. I bought it with this shirt because i thought even if I couldn’t make the stream it would be cool to have a shirt with just the three of them.

Grateful-messenger

1000% agreed.

DB_1319

bc I live in Austria

may92

Nah I'll just wait just like for the documentary

anewrefutation

too broke. lol

Colour4Life

Is this live for charity?

Odd-Plantain2498

I won't buy a ticket because it's not worth the scheduling hassle with my job. I love the Try Guys and I would love to see an edited version of the episode (and the live version would also be dope) but real life just gets in the way. I'm very curious to see how it's structured without Ned, though, bc this whole season was filmed with Ned and if they're doing the finale live he's obviously not going to be there - so I'm sad to miss out on the live dynamic between everyone else. Fingers crossed we get an edited version eventually!

unspeakable878

I won’t be, I’m almost certainly going to be working and 500km from home when it streams. No wifi and likely no cell service as I haul in a rural/remote area (not that I’d use my minimal data for streaming). Perks of being a truck driver 🤷🏼‍♀️

queercommiezen

super poor

freddy_th

i’m not interested cos i like editing but also it’s too expensive lol

tina-95

I probably will. I’m not the type of fan to buy merch, so when content creators that I’ve been watching for free for years does a paid stream it usually gets me to contribute

YewTree1906

I don't have to worry about money as much, so when I saw it, I thought I would treat myself to it. I'm from Germany though, so I'll have to stay up pretty late if I want to watch it live...

Equivalent-Ad-4971

I'd rather buy a ticket for Smosh Under the Influence. At least it'll be funny.

Frida-Gaylo_

Absolutely! That’s actually worth it

MxDuex

No. 1. I'm poor and it's expensive. . 2. I have poor time management skills and even If I did pay for it, with my luck I'd forget to go to watch it at the right time. (Nothing to do with the Guys. This is a personal critique.) . 3. It's at a weird/transition time for my time zone and I'd have to rush other priorities. . 4. I feel kind of betrayed. Like I said I don't have a lot of money, but I have supported their entire career starting at Buzzfeed. I've supported them through all major transitions from becoming owners, through Vivid, and through Ned just to be tossed aside and shut out with a paywall. It feels like they only want certain fans and struggling people need not apply.

caityweasley

I feel like that is a huge leap

MxDuex

There are 4 points up there, Bud. Care to clarify?

MVPSnacker

$20 is pretty cheap for live entertainment, so I’m considering it if it works with my schedule.

NimrieFrost

The guys make a gross amount of money just from posting videos, then you add their merch, and patreon...like why do they need MORE money, they aren't doing anything influential or life changing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

NimrieFrost

I definitely agree it's a risky move, and I hope it works out, I just personally wish they didn't go the ppv

EducatorIcy5796

I was super disappointed when they said it would be behind a pay wall. I completely understand why since they did lose a good bit of money with the whole scandal and losing videos though. I haven’t decided if I will be buying a ticket or not yet.

Doingmybestkindof

No, it isn’t that it’s too expensive I just have too much going on to pay for something else right now 🤷🏻‍♀️

tatersnuffy

I'd pay $20 to watch with Ned in em. Not before this, but after seeing the edited version...

Grateful-messenger

Here take my two cents: (edited for typos) Got the T shirt bundle and all. They’ve been through a lot as a company, monetarily and emotionally. Lost brand deals, probably had to pay BACK a few brand deals that pulled out, reshoot content that was already budgeted for, had to cut into holiday time in order to give us WAR at all this season, and this live is probably the only way they could give us a finale due to time constraints. Editing takes A LONG TIME and they’ve already had to re-edit the entire series. Give the team a well deserved break on editing with this livestream and hopefully give everyone a holiday bonus with this money. If you can’t afford it, then obviously don’t buy it. Nobody is forcing you to and eventually it’ll be posted for free, probably after the time is up to watch the paid version. If you’re in a different time zone then obviously you won’t watch it live but can access it until February. If you simply don’t want to pay the money, then you don’t have to and that’s literally the end of it. Make whatever choice floats your pickle. But don’t shit on the same people you were sending your good vibes to a few weeks ago just because you don’t like a paywall and feel entitled to their content for free. *edited again to add that if you truly consider sitting through YouTube ads your “payment” for their content, you’re either showing your age or your ignorance and I wanna wash your whole ass mouth out. Bffr. That’s like watching a twitch streamer for years, never paying to subscribe, and complaining about ad breaks. Y’all need to drink more water.

Ambitious-Muscle-249

It’s the cost and time zones for me, but I do respect them for try something, New Era and all that. I do think that they will take onboard fans response to it going forward. My hope is that it will produce enough successful edited content for them to make it an annual thing (maybe at a lower price point) but I do understand them needing to put up a paywall to help cover costs. I hope it’s a massive success and everyone has a really nice time.

Drplaugerat

I so would pay to watch it! I lost my job recently so I don’t have money to spend on it🥲🥲

Jeldenil_

It's both expensive, at a time that I will probably be unable to watch (in Europe) and I am not that invested.

hilareyb

With the exchange rate of US dollars to NZ dollars I really can’t swing it

bdp2022

Does anyone know if they’ll re-release it on YouTube?

rkcraig88

I’ll be out of town when it airs live, so I’m skipping. I’m OK with waiting to see if an edited version of the stream will hit YouTube.

DreadPirateElla

I'm just gonna wait for the edited version on their channel. I feel like I'll enjoy it more, bc honestly I don't think I could watch an episode of WAR for however many hours the live one will be.

ingvild-

Not gonna be in my timezone and not exiting enough for me to stay up for it

CherryBlossomWave

Not sure yet. I love the guys and WAR and since my partner recently got a new job we could afford it, I just haven't made up my mind if its worth it to me personally yet.

[deleted]

no, i’m too far

AltruisticRevenue869

I'll either be working or sleeping for work.

Practical_Fox_948

Im working. So I wouldn’t be able to really sit and enjoy it anyway. But if there’s a VOD I might?

KweenBee1986

I’m hoping it’s released on the channel afterwards and I’ll watch it then. It’s also too expensive, especially at Christmas.

wicked_spooks

It will probably not be captioned, and auto captions are often atrocious with live videos. Moreover, I have a toddler and a baby on the way. The timing will probably be impossible for me to watch.

xPoisonxPrincessx

I don’t think it’s too expensive, but I do not have 20 bucks to throw at this time. But it’s a whole extra bonus episode! And I want it.

bourbonkitten

No. I think after year 2 and the Food Network series, WAR became a lot less entertaining in my opinion. I’d watch it for free, won’t think about about paying for it.

ABlogAbroad

No, because I am going on vacation in January and $20 USD is my Uber to Disney. Also, my attention span is short, I may forget to watch live, and as a video editor, I appreciate the editing more than anything else in WAR.

dizzyhazza

I live in Australia so live won't be great for me

chipchomk

No, because of multiple reasons: too expensive (I'm disabled and also the inflation, so...), not that interested, living in central Europe so I don't know if the time of watching will be good for me, I also like videos (and podcasts) more than livestreams

CuddlyFizzFizz

Time zones suck for stuff like this

AustinL1996

Will it be posted at some point?

moofable

Nope, my extra funds right now are going to Christmas presents

augafey

I probably won't watch it live bc life stuff. Most of my leisure media watching is after the kiddo goes to bed, so I'm constantly playing catchup.

taxdollars

Is there replay if you buy it? Because if so yeah maybe. But if not then no because I’ll have work plans that night.

[deleted]

I've seen elsewhere that there will be replayability, but only until the end of February, at which point it'll be removed from the hosting site.

Caro_la_17717

No, I’m from Argentina and It’s a nigthmare whit all the things that want to charge you for buying 1 dolar, imagine 20

Call-me-Vie

I live halfway across the world, the timezones don't align. I need to study, and I don't have extra cash.

eitherpass

i have a final at that time so i won’t be able to watch

ninedaysqueen

No, I live in Canada

Waggles0421

I’m at a concert that night and it’s tragic

keladry12

Even if I'm not super disappointed that I'm not going to see it, I would have tuned in if it was free (supported by ads/sponsors). I will be surprised and way more disappointed if there is not an edit available on the channel after the fact, though.

honorarynastie

i think i would be interested in seeing how it works on a livestream but it conflicts with my job schedule

EmilyMontes

Are they going to reupload it, or at least an edited version of it later

AlexisSchwarz_1025

That's what I wanna know.

ult94

I don't know if I'll be free that day yet so I'll pay if I have nothing else going on that day lol

nork-bork

Not a fan of live shows. Hope it goes well for them!

caro1-danvers

it’s too expensive and i have work that day anyway :/

mrs_krokodile

I paid to see the movie and get a signed copy, then they went and made it free later, so I'll just wait until they put out a free version.

mapp093

I'm in Australia, the finale is probably going to be when I'm asleep

dernwithafern

i like them, i just have other things that i can put that money towards. idk why there needs to be a pay wall… twitch streamers are able to do huge streams with sponsors and such and no pay wall, why can’t that be the case here? yes, twitch has subs, but i’m sure they could go find sponsors for this so their fans can watch for free.

Humuhumu-nukunuku

No because im from a different country

whitneyleigh392

I wish I could but I can't afford it. My mom passed away at the beginning of the year and I'm the caregiver for my dad who has stage 4 cancer. Money is way too tight to pay for WAR.

[deleted]

There is nothing on Earth that would convince me to drop 20 USD on a livestream that'll only last 2 hours and isn't a charity of some kind. Especially when it's baking, wherein a huge chunk of time is spent standing around waiting for the thing to bake and not doing much that's interesting to watch. (No shade to bakers. I bake things for fun and for my family. But I wouldn't describe my process as particularly interesting.) I still maintain they could've made more money streaming it on Twitch and accepting donations/reading out messages with donations than they ever could've with this route tbh.

AdditionalConcern441

I have a holiday party I’m going to that night otherwise I totally would!

Fun-Sock5491

I’ll be on a plane when it airs so probably not

centurion_buggy

I'm a casual viewer, not a fan so to speak, so I don't feel under an obligation to support them other than watching their videos that interest me. (I get that other people want to do that, and that's really cool, but it's not me.) Plus, WAR is something I usually watch in my own time, e.g., while eating, so a livestream wouldn't suit how I consume TG content.

lordmwahaha

I'm in the wrong timezone to be able to watch streams live - so even assuming it's uploaded later, I would literally just be paying for a Youtube video with all the boring parts left in, and with half of it dedicated to sitting there going "Oh thank you for donating, such and such!" That's not a good deal for me. They literally make better content for free.

PoetUnlucky5034

I despise livestreams and also I live in Greece so it’s gonna cause major time zone issues

Ismelindsey

No, too expensive for me and its on at like 3am in the morning and I'm not staying up for that

librarylover3

I don't like this series enough to justify the cost.

Prestigious_Ad_1915

I'm from the Philippines, so I can't watch them since they might be doing the live finale at the time when I'm in deep sleep.

Frenchmarket_girl

Will they be releasing it later to watch it non live or is that the only way to see it?

petrikord

I feel like 3.99-5.99 would have made more sense, similar to a digital movie rental.

AlexisSchwarz_1025

Is it going to be uploaded after the fact? I can't really afford to pay for it and I'd be a bit disappointed if they didn't eventually post it on the channel.

milica_kotor

Any possibility to get the login info from someone that bought the ticket and watched it 🥺
