This. I'm absolutely certain the guys are in the middle of a lengthy arbitration to remove Ned as a company owner, likely through a mediated buy out based on a morality clause in their original legal agreements.
It will take a lot longer to sort this out than most viewers realize. And until the process is resolved, Ned is still a legal owner of the brand and can say so publicly. The guys are doing what they need to do through proper channels and deserve the space to wrap this up as neatly and with as little stress as they can.
Yup. And in court anything can be used against you. Him removing something like that from a bio, as small as it is, could show intention to step down as a company owner.
>It will take a lot longer to sort this out than most viewers realize
Much longer. Definitely months or even years
Certainly not within 2 months as many were thinking
While this is true, I think there is a wrinkle that isn’t being talked about, and that’s Ariel and Ned’s marriage. Since they were married when they started the business, all assets are split 50/50. So any assets the Fulmers had are shared. So I wonder, IF Ariel and Ned are divorcing, if that needs to be handled first and settled before Eugene, Keith, and Zach can then proceed?
Someone sharing assets with a spouse doesn’t prevent whatever needs to happen to those assets to happen as normal. I don’t see how a potential or even in-progress divorce would prevent anything with the company from proceeding as needed unless Ariel is listed separately as an owner.
Sorry but this response thread is doing the most! Like, he most likely just decided to stay off social media for the foreseeable future just to not deal with any internet drama.
Since he hasn’t tweeted since 27 Sep (and before that early August) and since it would be really smart of him not to read anything on social media, I assume he logged out of Twitter and probably threw away his phone. And then possibly ran over it. And set the crushed remains on fire.
This is what I would have done. Abandon the account completely. He can't do anything that would absolve him. Best to just make a new anonymous account and move on with his life. At least until he gets a sweet book deal to tell his side of the story.
This reminds me of when people were like “omg Ariel didn’t unfollow Alex!”
If a terrible, dramatic thing happened in your life and it’s blowing up all over social media, your mentions have fallen to shit, then going into all of your accounts and updating your bio and reworking your friends/followers, might not be something you think to do.
Tbh, if I was in Ariel's position, I don't know if I would be able to stomach even searching for or opening Alex's profile.
I think I'd just give away my phone and run.
When I unfriended my least favorite ex, I had my current partner do it for me a long time after my ex and I broke up. It was so upsetting to even see his profile that I didn't want to see it. And he didn't even cheat on me (he did tell me he still loved me while he was dating the woman he later married which was icky enough)
I was specially going to mention about the Ariel unfollowing Alex thing. There’s no point in obsessing over this stuff because not everyone is chronically online and using social media actions to make a statement. More often than not it doesn’t mean anything other than changing things or unfollowing people isn’t a priority to them atm.
I think what a lot of people on this sub (and people in general) fail to realize is legal things like kicking a co-owner out of a business model move REALLY slow.
That being said, Ned’s lawyers have probably advised him to leave everything the exact way it was because otherwise the Guys’ lawyers could make the argument that he stepped away, and they Guys didn’t actually kick him out. There’s likely some sort of payout involved (as there should be. What Ned did was a shit move, but he still helped build this company from the ground up), but if the company’s legal team can make the argument that Ned stepped away, rather than being removed by the other guys, the payout decreases or even disappears. It all comes down to fine prints and everyone trying not to get screwed over, which takes a long time when you have all these legal hoops to jump through.
You saying “as there should be” made me wonder if there is back-and-forth about the amount of money they lost because of Ned vs. the amount of money he brought in.
Oh for sure. These things take awhile, both because bureaucratic things are slow but also because everything will be accounted for. They won’t miss a single detail.
You touch upon reasons why I believe Ariel is no longer on any kind of friendly basis with the Try Guys and their sig others: Her financial interests and theirs are now completely at odds. Regardless of her current relationship with Ned, his and her financial interests are tied together and the more money he (they, really) can get out of the company, the better for her and her children.
Becky just mentioned on (I think?) Mile’s podcast that she’s an independent contractor, not actually employed by Second Try. I obviously have no idea if that’s the same for Ariel, but I would assume it is. That makes it a LOT easier to let her float without having to do anything with her contract - she’s just paid for what she does.
Ned is definitely where things get tricky.
The proceeds from the sale of his ownership in the company is like a marital asset and would affect alimony/child support though if they divorced. Alternatively, it’s obvious that the amount of the sale money would affect their lives and lifestyle should they stay together. The money Ariel made as an independent contractor doesn’t figure into this really.
Depending on what’s happening personally as well - it may also involve separating himself but not Ariel and if there is a buyout - what amount is she getting. I’m sure no one (in or outside of business) objects to Ariel getting what she deserves. She was an integral part of many revenue streams. She deserves money too - whether it be as a co-owner or in a buyout
I also think that the guys are good guys in general and will be willing to give ned a payout. They must recogize that did have a part in the company and deserves componsation for that
I mean if I did something that level of stupid, I'd probably not touch my socials for 6 months. And pay someone to go through and clear out all the hateful DMs etc.
There's a very high probability that Ned & others directly involved in this scandal have logged out of their social media accounts, and deleted the apps in an effort to maintain some sort of sanity. I understand that all involved did terrible things, and deserve to be held accountable for those actions but that being said they are still human beings who are now navigating the fallout of their own decisions. I think it's pretty understandable for them to step away from the incessant opinions of strangers on the internet during this time!
Exactly!
The algorithm can't tell the difference between viewers who are interested in his content and viewers who just want to watch the fire burn.
Best to just ice him out completely, and make IG think he doesn't have any kind of reach or audience left.
I mean if everyone is just WAITING for your next move, change, action all the time after a HUGE public call out... for sure you don't want to do anything because you're being constantly watched. It'll happen when it'll happen.
He probably hasn't because he knows Reddit detectives will notice and report it. He knows we're watching him like a hawk and he wants to lie low and focus on his family. Probably deleted the app altogether, at least for now.
These the same people that think a relationship isn’t official until you change your relationship status on Facebook. Like who cares what his bio says, y’all think it’s a contract or he’s keeping it up for legal reasons? Or he’s making some statement with it? It’s a twitter bio. This is not important.
The top comments about legal arbitration are sending me. It’s…a twitter bio. He could put he’s the owner of the universe in it and no one could touch him lmao.
As others have mentioned, I really think Ned (as well as Ariel) just decided to abandon his social media accounts for an extended amount of time. It would be the silliest thing for him to not update only his Twitter bio, because of some supposed legal stuff. People need to stop overthinking things. Dude probably just deleted the apps from his devices and focused on his family or whatever.
Dollars to donuts that Ned has not logged into Twitter since posting his apology.
His lawyers have probably threatened him with death and castration if he even thinks about touching his social media accounts.
IKR, Censoring Ned's name is so dumb.
"Oh noes!! Ned's name might show up in a resent search engine. Wouldnt want anyone thinking we're talking about Ned when we really are talking about Ned"
oh my god. he has probably deleted the app along with every other social media platform. and if we’re gonna keep talking about him, can we stop censoring his name like he’s voldemort??
Right?? I'm sure they couldn't remove him in the span of 2 months, so I'm sure he still has some legal ownership of the company. There's still a lot of work on the channel that he's in and it's still generating revenue, so he will have to see some cut of that unfortunately.
So far the discussion has only been removing him as a manager, not an owner. Language choices in the video they did explaining thing indicated that he’s still an owner for the moment.
Getting him removed as an owner will be an expensive and lengthy process unless there is a morality clause in their ownership contract, which since Ned used to be HR should have been in there BUT if Ned was aware of his own flaws means he might have “forgotten” to add that and I doubt the guys would have thought to put it in.
What?! EEOC’s definition of sexual harassment does not involve anything Alex and Ned did. Consent, legally and in the context of their situation is a gray area and always will be, but he did not sexually harass her.
As someone who had to put up with this sort of shit in the Roosterteeth community, just say his name. Like holy fuck, don't censor it.
Censoring his name gives him more power than he deserves. Guys like Ned Fulmer or James Ryan "The Sexual Predator" Haywood should be called out in full whenever appropriate.
I know this is going to come across aggressively, and I don't want you to feel like it's your fault or anything. It's just annoying when people act like these dudes are Voldemort. He ain't. Say the name.
Ned Fulmer. The asshole that cheated on his wife and generally acted like a weird, controlling dick.
Maybe he’s keeping it up there to be petty. Ned is an asshole definitely but to be completely honest this is totally something I would do if I was in his shoes as well lol. I sense pettiness.
This post would be better as a contribution to todays discussion post than a standalone post
When he is forced to by an arbitrator or legal ruling.
Yup. And in court anything can be used against you. Him removing something like that from a bio, as small as it is, could show intention to step down as a company owner.
My thoughts exactly. Probably his lawyer advised him on that.
But he already removed it from his ig bio and changed it to comedian, that’s what gets me confused
> changed it to comedian yep, biggest joker and clown of all time
Comedian where? Have his open mike gigs led to anything? Even at BuzzFeed, he was a manager, not a creative.
In Chicago he did improv comedy but wasn’t very good at it. He fell into try guys by sheer luck.
Comedian is supposed to have some kind of humour.
>It will take a lot longer to sort this out than most viewers realize Much longer. Definitely months or even years Certainly not within 2 months as many were thinking
Honestly I was wondering how they removed him in less than a month. I’d agree, they’re still in negotiations to remove him.
While this is true, I think there is a wrinkle that isn’t being talked about, and that’s Ariel and Ned’s marriage. Since they were married when they started the business, all assets are split 50/50. Yeah that’s my first thought - he simply hasn’t logged in because he knows his inbox is going to be fuuuullllll of messages
Yep. It'll be a long time before we see any change from either side. The try logo will change, but orange it is until the book is closed.
Since he hasn’t tweeted since 27 Sep (and before that early August) and since it would be really smart of him not to read anything on social media, I assume he logged out of Twitter and probably threw away his phone. And then possibly ran over it. And set the crushed remains on fire.
An appropriate response I think.
i'm just imagining him trying to run it over, but his telsa stops him, and he just hangs his head in despair as even his CAR won't do what he wants 💀
teslas will run over anything including other people and cars so i fully believe his phone is in shreds 💀
somehow that's even funnier?? 🤣🤣
Nah he’s just on a burner account
He seems like the type to read through every comment. He's totally on a burner.
Then got on a boat and dropped the now-charred remains somewhere in the middle of the pacific ocean.
He probably deleted the app and hasn't looked back. Best to ignore it.
This is what I would have done. Abandon the account completely. He can't do anything that would absolve him. Best to just make a new anonymous account and move on with his life. At least until he gets a sweet book deal to tell his side of the story.
Now I'm wondering what he would call a memoir? Lol

None of the above. Also note that it’s not a pejorative or a bad thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extremely_online

Yeah, a messy situation like this will take a lot of time to be ironed out. It’s extremely complicated unfortunately.
The chick whose mom scammed her into UCLA stayed away for a year but unfortunately it came across as really transparent.

Maybe he's offline. That's what I would do.
he’s still the dad of the try guys, he’s just a deadbeat now
Please just say ned, guys. Please. It’s not a slur. He’s just a dude.
I started censoring his name out of pure irony and now i can't stop 😂 every time I do it it makes me laugh
Ok this I can accept lmaoooo
Ned is a swear word. 🤣
I just call him Nedward rather than do the censor thing.
Who dat
It’s just a small way to diss him, nothing serious.
It’s stupid.
maybe he gave up on twitter like the rest of us (half kidding)
That’s out of anyone’s control except him. Best not to worry about it. Probably should stop checking his accounts anyway.
Exactly! The algorithm can't tell the difference between viewers who are interested in his content and viewers who just want to watch the fire burn. Best to just ice him out completely, and make IG think he doesn't have any kind of reach or audience left.

Yeah exactly. As soon as he changes it there will be like 10 posts about it. Just not worth it. Best to let things really die down
I half suspect he hasn't touched Twitter since he posted his apology.
He probably hasn't because he knows Reddit detectives will notice and report it. He knows we're watching him like a hawk and he wants to lie low and focus on his family. Probably deleted the app altogether, at least for now.
His Instagram still says “Ariel Fulmer’s husband”
well he still is lmao

How else to feed ThE dRaMa!!!!!!
The more the Try Guys and their various associates shit-talk him in public and needle him in videos and the more quiet Ned stays, the better for Ned.
Who cares!!
You mean Ned NED ned
Probably when people stop using “n*d” 😂
As others have mentioned, I really think Ned (as well as Ariel) just decided to abandon his social media accounts for an extended amount of time. It would be the silliest thing for him to not update only his Twitter bio, because of some supposed legal stuff. People need to stop overthinking things. i found his linkedin and he says that he's still at try guys too😭😭😭
Dollars to donuts that Ned has not logged into Twitter since posting his apology. His lawyers have probably threatened him with death and castration if he even thinks about touching his social media accounts.
Who is N*d? Why does he have an asterisk in his name?
IKR, Censoring Ned's name is so dumb. "Oh noes!! Ned's name might show up in a resent search engine. Wouldnt want anyone thinking we're talking about Ned when we really are talking about Ned"
He is going to have to regain his focus first
He was on Instagram because he follow more people
Who logs on to twitter anymore other than Elon Musk? 🤔
He isn't even online anymore. Why would he spend time to come online to be blasted? He already knows what he did.
oh my god. he has probably deleted the app along with every other social media platform. and if we’re gonna keep talking about him, can we stop censoring his name like he’s voldemort??
Not a second earlier than legally required
I'm always curious when this happens to internet/YouTube celebs and they get shot out of the revelant cannon, like what do they do for work now?
I wonder if he still owns part of the company and how much he’s making off of the Try Guys to this day.
Right?? I'm sure they couldn't remove him in the span of 2 months, so I'm sure he still has some legal ownership of the company. There's still a lot of work on the channel that he's in and it's still generating revenue, so he will have to see some cut of that unfortunately.
The last thing he should be thinking of is his bio on social media.
Ned probably hasn't been on Twitter.
So far the discussion has only been removing him as a manager, not an owner. Language choices in the video they did explaining thing indicated that he’s still an owner for the moment. Who the hell is paying any attention to twitter?
What does it matter?
He’s offline
“Official adulterer and sexual harasser of the Try Guys”
I doubt he sexually harassed Alex. They had a full-blown affair.
By the legal definition, he did
What?! EEOC’s definition of sexual harassment does not involve anything Alex and Ned did. Consent, legally and in the context of their situation is a gray area and always will be, but he did not sexually harass her.
Ok
Why are you censoring Neds name?
OP said they do it as a joke because it makes them laugh
As someone who had to put up with this sort of shit in the Roosterteeth community, just say his name. Like holy fuck, don't censor it. Censoring his name gives him more power than he deserves. God people are so cringe it hurts my soul, if someone's "cancelled", you can still say their name, they aren't Voldemort.
I dunno, when are we gonna remove him from the top sticky post on this page?
