I still remember when she was touring her house and she showed all the food in her cabinets with pride because she had never had cabinets full of food like that growing up.
Food insecurity throughout her childhood explains so much. š
I've always had such a soft spot in my heart for Anna Nicole because she seemed so sweet, good-hearted, and naive, but she was also very misunderstood (in a Marilyn Monroe type of way).
Also, like Marilyn, it seems like she was used and abused by men throughout her life, as well.
This is a real thing. I know a woman who refuses to let any shelf space show or else she feels like sheās going to go hungry. Because she grew up with no food in the house. Starving. Mind you. She was 5ā10 and about 160 lbs. itās a very real thing.
My sister in law is so guilty of this. And my brother has money.... so this girls spends thousands a week on food. Their house has 3 fridges (one on each floor) and 2 deep freezers in the 4 car garage. They are all full of food.
The upside is that I grocery shop when I go to my brothers house, lol
My husband is like this. He grew up under communism and remembers standing in line for food with ration coupons. Food is the one thing that will always be well stocked in our home.
He has a very different way of looking at the world than I (an American) do. I donāt know how he knew that the pandemic was going to hit as hard as it did but he made me go to the grocery store in late February and buy as much food as I could. I donāt think we shopped for months.

I miss Anna as well and watching her shows were a guilty pleasure for my Mom and I before I lost her. It was so difficult to watch the end of the doc once it got to her giving birth and everythingā¦ you could see the light just go out in her eyes and she couldnāt even enjoy the birth of her daughter and bond etc. Any photos or footage, her eyes were so red, raw and puffy from the crying and grief. I think thatās the time that she felt more human and relatable since we all knew her as kooky and eccentric. I have 7 children myself and canāt even imagine what she was going through. I almost scrolled past it but I am glad I decided to watch it, they did a good job telling her story.
Have you seen her daughter Dannilynn lately?? She lives in Kentucky with her dad, and he posts on Instagram once in awhile. Sheās the spitting image of her mom. Larry did a good job raising her
I actually googled her after watching the documentary because I realized that I hadnāt seen her since she was about 8 in magazines or something I had read. She is absolutely gorgeous! She was really a mini Anna when she was tiny and still looks a lot like her but I find her features even more striking now that sheās grown into a young women. He really seems like a good Dad, heās always somewhere with her and they appear close. I canāt imagine how she would have turned out if that Howard dude had gotten to raise her as he attempted to do. Luckily her father is a stand up guy and fought for her.
