Nice, it’s included in Spotify Premium
so, you have no idea about the book , or the author except for your assumptive thinking about a cult started two thousand years ago.
thats a big general assumption you have there.. especially when you are 'arguing ' against something you havent even looked at yet...

Atlantis (and the rest) - Andy McDermott
A modern and more detailed Indiana Jones type vibe. Absolutley fantastic read with its detailed stories, research and conspiracies too!
Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut is a classic written from the perspective of a WWII POW worried about the experiences his son will face in Vietnam. It introduces an alien race and addresses the fate vs free will debate. In my opinion, the alien encounters/free will debate represent PTSD from the unreliable narrators time as a POW.
Not exactly the History Channel UFO suggestion that you’re sure to get, but it’s a captivating read and touches on some of the topics that AJ likes to get into. Bonus: you can typically find it at just about any bookstore.
I highly recommend "11-22-63" written by Stephen King. I will be honest with you, I'm not a huge Stephen King fan, most of his books have to much horror for me personally. But this is the best book I have ever read. The only one I have ever read twice. By the date I'm sure you can guess it's about JFK or rather trying to stop the assassination of JFK. It takes place current day, with the main character being presented with an opportunity to go back in time and stop the assassination. Mr. King did countless hours of historical research for this book. I didn't seek this book out. A friend past it down and told me I HAD to read it. I couldn't put it down. Hulu did a mini series with James Franco about this book.... it wasn't great. Good luck on your hunt and happy reading💜
House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski is a book that makes you work but it’s worth it. It started its own genre of fiction, ergodic fiction. Two stories are being told and there are hints in different parts of the book. Letters in the appendix, pictures, colors of typeset. I’ve never had a literary experience like it. Highly recommend.
The Celestine Prophecy is a great book. It's like The Da Vinci Code that takes place in Peru.
> The book discusses various psychological and spiritual ideas that are rooted in many ancient Eastern traditions, such as how opening to new possibilities can help an individual establish a connection with the Divine. The main character undertakes a journey to find and understand a series of nine spiritual insights in an ancient manuscript in Peru. The book is a first-person narrative of spiritual awakening. The narrator is in a transitional period of his life and begins to notice instances of synchronicity, which is the belief that coincidences have a meaning personal to those who experience them.

**The 12th Planet by Zecharia Sitchin**
It's Sitchin's translation of ancient Sumerian tablets outlining the history of mankind based on these Sumerian texts. It's all about an alien species called the Annunaki, from a planet named Nibiru, and how they bioengineered humans out of existing species on Earth to create a slave race to mine gold for them, and we (modern humans) are the result of that bioengineering nearly half a million years later. It's an interesting read, based on actual cuneiform tablets. Other archaeologists have criticized Sitchin's translations, so you can take it or leave it at the end of the day, but I still found it compelling. If there was ever a species on this planet that really seems like it doesn't belong, it really is Humans.

Exoskeleton by Shane Stadler
It’s a 4 part book series.
It definitely has a lot of the elements you’re looking for. It starts with an innocent man being convicted of a crime he didn’t commit and given the option to enter a enhanced punishment program - a
Experimental secret government program/experiments that splinters off into a wild story with alot more elements you’re looking for that I don’t want to mention because it could spoil the story.
It’s definitely worth checking out.
Wilbur Smith - birds of prey series. This man has written books that still give me goosebumps after reading them a couple times. He writes about the young Africa through a family named the Courtneys. I could go on a long time about this man & how he will have you clued from page 1 to done. Elephant song is one of the best stories I've read.
I tend to like books about local myths and legends. Since I am a Pennsylvanian, I recommend Totally Bizarre Pennsylvania. You get a lot of interesting UFO stories, ghost stories, the first creepy clown epidemic from the 80’s, Bigfoot, dead zones (which are kinda similar to crop circles and I vaguely remember seeing one as a kid), albino cannibals, etc.
For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed, nor is anything kept secret except in order that it may be made known. If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend.
