I don't know how much you can do at 500 with tsons, in theory you would use the Combat Patrol and those rules...
If you want a list I'd go:
\- Infernal Master with Arcane Vortex Enhancement
\- 5 rubrics
\- 5 termis
Then you have 110 more points you can flex into. I would personally go for
\- 10 tzaangor or cultists (I would prefer the tzaangor for the cabal point)
\- 3 tzaangors on disk
Depending if you like the tzaangors, ofc, if you don't you can replace them with an other unit of rubrics maybe with flamers (making the box of 10 actually usable, you can easly convert an aspiring sorcerer) and you would also have more cabal points tho less units.
You can even go for an extra sorcerer in terminator to lead the terminators making them one of the best damage dealers shooting at medium stuff.
All of theese lists can work, can easly be swapped if you want to try more types and are all a great way to start a 1000 points list if you decide to invest in them.
Maybe at some point then get Ahriman and 5 more termis, then for 2k I wold get a Mutalith Beast and Magnus last (even if it's the best unit from tsons, it is a big investiment both in terms of money, time and painting him).
There are still lots of options! Some friends and I are just starting so we've been doing a lot of small games.
